This show has to be about the biggest load of :puke2: on TV
  3. What I think of rap is no more biggoted than people not buying a record because it's in a foreign language. What I was trying to say is that it's just as much wasting money on rap (that most of the time you can't understand the lyrics) than it is on music in a foreign language

Following Nicole's axing from US X Factor now it's Paula's turn Simon Cowell has offered Beyonce $100m a season to be a mentor on the show IMO it's L.A. Reid who should have gone - he's the worst ( i mean supporting Astro :puke2: ) Let's send Dermot O'Dreary over there - he's the one that spoils the UK show - he's so childish - He could learn plenty from Ryan Seacrest who's a perfect host. The only ones worse than O'Dreary would be Any & Dec -- Even Steve Jones would be better than these divs
  5. Olly Murs has just leapt straight in the German Top 100 at #3 with Heart Skips A Beat. This is the highest anyone X-Factor non-winner has charted anywhere in mainland Europe. The only other X-Factor non-winners to chart are Jedward (with that Eurovision crap) and Cher Lloyd with Swagger Jagger which peaked at #43 in Belgium (Flanders) chart.
  6. Well most of it anyway - rap isn't music it's just talking and still you can't understand it Like this 5qm8PH4xAss
  7. I agree with you apart from one thing - i'll stick with the original. And I bet the US will also.
  8. You could say the same thing about the rest of the world who's native language isn't English - but THEY do. You can't understand rap but it's still sells here.
  9. The Brits are so snobbish. Why should language be a barrier. After all countries who's language is not English buy English Language music. Even artists that are normally big in the UK, if they record a song in a different language either flops or doesn't get released Here's a few examples - Shakira - La Tortura -- Shakira - Rabiosa -- Jennifer Lopez - Qué Hiciste -- Nelly Furtado - Manos Al Aire
  10. 1993-1997 for me - all that brilliant techo, hardcore & European dance music via MTV Europe. Before the charts got full of R&B, Hip-Hop & collabs rubbish Also like 60s music - so many classic bands & singers and with a complete variety of genres. I'd loved to have lived through the second half of the 60s
  11. After Ricky Martin, Enritue Iglesias & Shakira - He's the new Latin star and is from Brazil same as Los Del Rio (remember Macarena) This single is massive all over mainland Europe I say deserves Top 5 It's currently #1 in the following countries: France - Belgium (Walloon) - Belgium (Flanders) - Germany - Holland - Austria - Spain - Cyprus - Slovenia - Switzerland - Greece - Luxembourg and #2 in Portugal Where would it chart here if released in the UK hcm55lU9knw
  12. The only years in chart history there hasn't been at least one million seller: 1953 - 1955 - 1956 - 1958 - 1959 - 1968 - 1970 - 1974 - 1980 - 1986 - 1988 - 1993 - 2003 You can see a full list of all the UK million selling singles HERE
  13. Brilliant legendary soul singer Etta James has died 5 days brfore her 74th birthday of Leukemia. Born Jamesetta Hawkins 25.01.38 in Los Angeles She's had fantastic success in the 60s in the USA although overlooked in the UK. She was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in 1993 & received 6 Grammys Some of her biggest hits were - You Got It - Security - Tell Mama - I'd Rather Go Blind - At Last (my favourite) Her only hit in the UK was the 1996 re-release of I Just Want To Make Love To You which peaked at #5 R.I.P. 14. Back in late 1969 when Alan Freeman was presenting Pick Of The Pops on Sunday on Radio 1, there was a single at #10 called WET DREAM by MAX ROMEO. The title wasn't mentioned and Alan just said - Up to number 10 is Max Romeo.
  15. Quite right -- this instrumental version was called LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT by SOUNDS NICE -- it was an actual release & peaked at #18
  16. Actually this is the full chart run: 60-39-36-43-51-60-69-74-50-50-21-10-2-3-{1}-4-5-13-27-54-75

I fully agree all these stupid ad breaks really piss me off. There were 5 ad breaks of 5 minutes in less than the first hour. It's not all adverts either with stupid trailers as well I know ITV get revenue from ads but this is rediculous, more ads than program. This happened on UK X factor last year and ITV wonder why viewer ratings were down by millions And then there was the guy with the glasses & cap who went on about himself for 10 minutes saying he wouldn't leave without a gold ticket before he even auditioned.

TV Game Show presenter Bob Holness has died in his sleep aged 83 after a massive stroke. He has suffered multiple minor strokes over the last 10 years. He was one of the great Game Show presenters and had many fans of all ages. The name Bob Holness conjures up memories of game shows and of course the infamous question, “Can I have a P please Bob?” He is a man with a terrific yet subtle sense of humour and over time has emerged as one of Britain's best loved broadcasters. Blockbusters was a huge success for Bob and turned him into something of a teenage cult figure. How did this make Bob feel? “It was terrific, I loved working with the students and the funny things they’d come out with.” Blockbusters produced many unforgettable catchphrases like ‘Put yourself on the Hot Spot please’, ‘Gold to gold in 60 seconds or less’, the old addage 'To test if 2 heads better than one', going back to your school wearing your Blockbusters Sweatshirt and carrying your Blockbusters Dictionary' and of course the hilarious, ‘Can I have a P please Bob?’ So how many times has Bob been asked for a P? “Oh, countless! I can’t tell you how many times! People say ‘Don’t you ever get fed up with it?’ but I didn’t. I loved everything to do with the show so it always got a very positive reception from me, however many times I heard it!” I was lucky enough to be a contestant on the show with a college friend called Verity near the beginning back in 1984. Bob was a wonderful intelligent man - he really put us all at ease before going on air. Blockbusters is having a revival at the moment as the show is being repeated on Challenge TV. R.I.P. The tourists arrive in Ljubljana, Slovenia, for a clown lesson and an afternoon down on the farm. Source Digital Spy

I'd rather have him than childish Dermot O'Dreary The one I hope isn't back next year is L.A. Reid --- what a pillock. When Astro was voted out he said America doesn't know anything about music (neither does he or Astro who never sang a note), When Marcus Cantey went he said America doesn't know anything about music. When Chris Rene went last night he said America's got it wrong. What does he know - it's goint to be America buying the music and they voted who they want & they got it right. Also Leona was amazing

Still happy she won - she WAS the best. Chris should have gone weeks ago. Simon was right for once - he's far from the best singer. Just what was Ahh all bout in every song. The 3 finalists should have been Melanie Josh & Drew
  25. Brilliant singer - Country Music at is best Billie Jo Spears (January 14, 1937 – December 14, 2011) was an American country music singer. She reached the top-10 of the Country music charts five times between 1969 and 1977, her biggest hit being "Blanket on the Ground", which, in 1975, became her only country number one. She was known for her bluesy voice. Born Billie Jean Spears, although she had her biggest country hits in the 1970s, she sounded more earthy and more grounded on records than other country music singers during that time. This was because during the height of Spears' career in the 1970s, country's sound moved more pop-sounding. This new type of Country was called countrypolitan, and the popular singers of this genre at the time were Crystal Gayle, Lynn Anderson, Kenny Rogers, Ronnie Milsap, and Mac Davis. However, Spears, unlike so many of her contemporaries, did not follow the trends of the day, and proved to Nashville that country music can still have a more earthy sound. You death is a great loss to Country Music R.I.P. Billie Jo Billie Jo had 4 UK hits Blanket On The Ground - #6 in 1975 XpA0oPR_EOQ What I've Got In Mind - #4 in 1976 8Lm87SZ6vWY Sing Me An Old Fashioned Song - #34 in 1976/7 Ft5N_IKLV38 I Will Survive - #47 in 1979 -- (country version of the Gloria Gaynor disco hit)
