  1. Other examples - I'm An Albatraoz by AronChupa - Runaway by Galantis - Are You With Me by Lost Frequencies - When The Beat Drops Out by Marlon Roudette all released 6 months late in the UK - Geronimo by Sheppard nearly a year later. That's why I go to legal European sites rather than wait for the UK. And also listen to European Radio Stations.
  2. In some countries they even play their full charts on their chart shows such as Germany & Holland playing the full Top 100s unlike here in the UK where the BBC only use the Top 40 when the full chart is Top 100.
  3. First change of day for chart show since Alan Freeman began Pick Of The Pops in 1962. Mind you the length of the singles chart has been expanding since those days. January 1940 to November 1952 - Top 30 (78s only) 14 November 1952 to September 1954 - Top 12 01 October 1954 chart becomes Top 20 13 April 1956 chart becomes Top 30 10 March 1960 chart becomes Top 50 06 May 1978 chart becomes Top 75 02 Jan 1983 chart becomes Top 100 Quite a few countries already have the chart date on Fridays including, Germany, Holland, Ireland, Canada, Sweden, Denmark & European chart

I think it's about time UK got out of ESC instead of spending all the licence payers money on it. It was once a good night's entertainment but since all the Eastern European countries joined it has become just a political stunt. The acts aren't even entertaining anymore. Even the UK acts over the last 10 years or so have been rubbish. It's well past its sell by date. With the UK is the same old rubbish every year. Either send acts never heard of before (or even after) or they send old has beens (e.g. Bonnie Tyler, Engelbert Humperdinck, Nicki French etc) What we need is acts like Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, Ellie Goulding, Jessie J, Clean Bandit, Mumford & Sons who are all big stars in mainland Europe. It's 40 years since we had top acts of the time representing the UK and only 3 times in the last 18 years have UK been even in Top 10.

For me the unluckiest #2 has to be Question by Moody Blues from 1970 next also from 1970 is All Right Now by Free and Black Night by Deep Purple They certainly don't make great music like this anymore. It's not fair rubbish like Madonna gets into the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame yet not great acts like the Moody's. 11. Ring Ring was also released as a single release in 1973 as their entry into that year's Eurovision entry but it wasn't chosen. It was also their first release in the UK but flopped. After the success of Waterloo it was re-released and peaked at UK #32. The following single was So Long which also flopped in the UK. Then came I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do. This peaked at UK #38. Next came SOS and we all know the chart explosion from then on.

Soul legend Percy Sledge dies aged 73 He was an American R&B and soul performer who most notably recorded the single "When a Man Loves a Woman" in 1966, an international top 40 hit that the RIAA has certified as gold. Having previously worked as a hospital nurse in the early 60s, he achieved his best success in the mid to late 60s and early 70s with a series of emotional soul songs, in his later years receiving the Rhythm and Blues Foundation's Career Achievement Award. He had 15 US Top 100 hits in the late 60s although he only had 2 in the UK with one of them charting twice. Here's a few: When A Man Loves A Woman - US #1 in 1966 -- UK #4 in 1966 & #2 in 1987 7lp7FtJXp7k Warm & Tender Love - US #17 in 1966 -- UK #34 in 1966 EfG7A5JLSg8 Take Time To Know Her - US #11 in 1968 tUOkBvxSoHw Come Softly To Me -- one of his last US hits. 5VAfcIqoseA Baby Help Me -- big on the Northern Soul Scene b9ISfzqX92o Your music will always be remembered R.I.P. New Order - Blue Monday was the biggest selling 12" single. There was no 7" release.

The 2 biggest UK male solo artists who are also having international stardom. Who's the best I much prefer Sam Smith.

Don't think Stevie will have much of a career like the winners before him. He like to shout too much and if their is a hint of a high note he cannot reach it. Well at least boring Emmanuelle didn't win. The final should have been Sasha & Lucy. I don't really like opera as most of it is in Italian anyway but Lucy got me hooked.
  20. David Cameron has had 100 letters of support from head of businesses. Who are they - well all his rich friends who are scared of losing their tax cut and also having to pay mansion tax if labour gets in - then they'll say they cannot manage to live. Most of them are only glorified pen pushers anyway. Cameron says they have to pay for the best. We were supposed to have the best bankers money can buy and what did they do, create the deficit in the first place that we have all to pay for and they still get their outrageous bonuses.
  21. If there was any justice it would be Iain Duncan Smith - he's such an arrogant bas***d. Just laughs at the poor. I'd love to slap him with a wet fish.

Should have been Karis that got through instead of the boring Emmanuelle Emmanuelle will probably win as it is usual for the boring ones to win The Voice. Apart from Leah McFall there hasn't been anyone decent in the final 3 of any previous series. At least Vikesh went. Just what has Sasha done with her hair. It looked great - much better than the birds nest that she had before. She also looks great without those horns under her nose.

OMG Vikesh - Absolute pitiful - are those that voted for him having a laugh :puke2: :puke2: The ones I want out tonight were Vikesh, Clark & Lara - suppose 2 out of 3 ain't bad. Also I don't like the new voting format. My final 4 would be: Steve, Karis, Sheena, Lucy
  25. Bassist Andy Fraser of 70s rock band Free has died ages 62. He had been battling Aids & Cancer for some time. Free we massive between 1970 & 1973 and their biggest hit All Right Now was a hit 3 times on the UK Chart. #2 in 1970 - #15 in 1973 and #11 in 1978 as part of an EP. They also had another 3 hit singles before they disbanded: My Brother Jake - #4 in 1971 A Little Bit Of Love - #13 in 1972 Wishing Well - #7 in 1973 Andy is second from left: http://worldcharts.co.uk/images/other/fraser.jpg This was their biggest hit - All Right Now mg2Nc178JIo R.I.P.
