  1. How's Simon (and maybe Cheryl) going to mentor both in the UK & US at the same time <_<
  2. No - I emailed them and told me that as from 2011 the Billboard Eurocharts will include airplay or be ended. This is the new Pan-European chart compiled by Pan-Europe Express which is for sales & download only. It also incorporates more countries such as Estonia, Ukraine, Hungary, Macedonia and Slovakia. They were hoping that Russia, Lithuania, Croatia & Slovenia would be included as well but they only produce Airplay charts so don't qualify.
  3. European Singles Sales/Download only chart (NO AIRPLAY) has now been extended to Top 200 It is compiled from the singles sales & downloads from the following countries: Austria, Belgium (Flanders), Belgium (Walloon), Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, France, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Ireland, Norway, Holland, Portugal, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Ukraine. The chart is HERE

  10. Only 63 - He died with liver disease due to excessive drinking. Baker Street - love the haunting sax. It's from the brilliant album City To City which I have. Not many people know this but before Stealers Wheel he used to be part of a duo with Billy Connolly called the Humblebums. Stealers Wheel had 3 hits Stuck In The Middle With You (later covered by Louise Redknapp) Everything Will Turn Out Fine Star He had a few solo hits including: Baker Street Get It Right Next Time Right Down The Line Night Owl Here's a couple of Gerry's hits Baker Street OPxs212oAyU Stealers Wheel - Everything Will Turn Out Fine bOkSEIJ3v5k

Does anyone know that Nicole Scherzinger started out the same way as Cheryl Cole. She started out in the American version of Popstars in 2001 after winning a place as a member of the formed group Eden's Crush The band hit #1 in the US with Get Over Yourself. They toured in support of both *NSync and Jessica Simpson. Later however, their record company, London-Sire Records, folded and the group eventually disbanded. In November 2007, Scherzinger spoke of her time in Eden's Crush: It was hell. I was in a band with five other girls and every day was torture for me. We were on TV all the time and the atmosphere was awful. Every day I was in that band I cried my eyes out. The band was meant to be fun and frivolous but the reality was that it was miserable. I was too sensitive back then, but I got toughened up. I couldn't have gone into the Dolls without my experience in Crush. After they group disbanded she made a few appearances as Nicole Kea and the rest is history. Here's that Eden's Crush hit pw3mnPidMjg

Roberto "Bobby" Alfonso Farrell died in the morning of 30 December in a hotel in Saint Petersburg, Russia, after performing with his band the evening before. He was 61. He was a dancer and performer, best known as the the deep voiced male member of the successful 1970s pop and disco group Boney M. Farrell left Aruba at age 15 to become a sailor. He lived in Norway and the Netherlands before moving to Germany. There, he worked mostly as a DJ until producer Frank Farian spotted him for his new Boney M. group. He became the sole male singer in the group, although Farian later revealed that Bobby made almost no vocal contributions to the group's records, with Farian himself performing the male parts on the songs in the studio. Liz Mitchell claimed that only she and Farian had sung on the hit recordings. Farrell did, however, perform live in some of the various incarnations of 'Boney M'. He appeared as a dancer in late 2005 in the Roger Sanchez videoclip of Turn on the Music. Farrell lived in Amsterdam Zuidoost, in the neighbourhood Gaasperdam. The cause of death is still unknown. The band achieved 14 UK hits between 1977 & 1981 plus 2 megamixes but had even more hits in mainland Europe. Their biggest hit was historic chartwise. Rivers Of Babylon peaked at #1 and when it finally dropped to #21 the single was flipped and Brown Girl In The Ring started to climb again peaking at #2. It was also the UKs 5th biggest selling single in history selling 1.9 million. RIP Bobby http://www.worldcharts.co.uk/images/boney.jpg

Love those in BOLD - the rest are crap
  14. Definatley a wrong choice of winner. Mark Cavendish, Jess Ennis or Amy Williams should have won it - not a stupid jockey. But thank goodness for small mercies - at least a boring golfer didn't win. I think this years show was the worst for years. It was mainly about boring golf. A sport that's as exciting as watching paint dry. Great to see Frank Williams getting the honour he deserved years ago.

Leona by miles with Alex second - don't like any of the others one little bit. I love Leona's voice and her music - Alex is OK but she's to R&B for my taste. Most of her output has been collaborations.

I agree with you - It's Rebecca that could have a great career and do as well as Leona and better than Alex (as she has not got international recognition). If someone takes Rebecca over to the US to be produced by Mr. Davis then she could have a great international career. I sincerely hope it happens because she's not just a great singer, she's so down to earth and she will never forget her humble roots.

Glad One Direction went (although it was a shock) with all the little kids voting for them. If they had won, Simon would have tried to turn them into some kind of boring Pestlife clones. Matt's winning single When We Collide - never heard it - I didn't like it so i'm not surprised. Rebecca's winning song was brilliant. My favourite Duffy song although shortened - Rebecca's was 3.35 and Duffy's original was 5.06 I'll definately buy her album - She was brilliant throughout. I love her. Here's the original of Distant Dreamer k3P60W2kpiM

Anyone watching the tram closely would notice the tram used for the crash was a mixture of a real tram and a mock-up (I would imagine the bit where it comes off the viaduct is the mock-up!). The actual tram used was one of Manchester's Metrolink trams and it was fleet number 1015 one of the first phase vehicles and it was specially put in the new yellow and silver livery in a vinyl wrap for the filming - this vinyl wrap was rapidly removed after filming had concluded (interestingly the tram was renumbered 1030 of which this fleet number does not exist, and the Metrolink name was replaced by PolitanLink). The viaduct as such doesn't exist. It's just a facade This was the actual tram used http://www.worldcharts.co.uk/images/1015.jpg
  21. They'd have to pay me to go and watch them   - they're diabolical :puke2: :puke2:
  22. Acts on results show. Alexandra Burke - really good Black Eyed Pease - Brilliant Glee - Absolute crap :puke2: :puke2:
  23. Good - I hate Eminem :puke2:
  24. Rebecca - both songs brilliantly performed - Show Me Love (not my fave club song) - Amazing Grace was amazing brilliance (most acapella and mesmerising) Matt - Pretty good on first song but this song was so repetative - Hated the second song which seemed all over the place. Only Billy Joel give this song it's emotion. One Direction - Childish rubbish on both songs - although a great song by Snow Patrol they did it a great injustice. Mary - Belted out her first song by Gloria Gaynor (thankfully is wasn't the rubbish I Will Survive). Much prefered her second song originally by Gladys Knight. Cher - Did a great job with both songs. Problem was they were too recent to be classics. My ranking: 1. Rebecca (by a mile) 2. Cher 3 Matt 4 Mary 5 Wand Erection :puke2: IMO Rebecca's one of the 2 best acts ever on X Factor along with Leona.
  25. I would have loved seeing them sing: Rebecca - U96 - Love Religion il9nlRFXcR0 Mary - Black Box - Right On Time D1X6qXkLjYE Matt - Haddaway - What Is Love 0YXuq25BMVI Wand Erecton - Eiffel 65 - Blue 68ugkg9RePc Cher - Culture Beat - Mr. Vain TbGXKfXAHlo
