2018 WORLD CUP WILL BE IN ENGLAND
I think someone got their dates wrong. TV keeps saying that the next World Cup we can bid for is 2030. FIFA says that countries from the same continent cannot bid for 2 consecutive competitions. My calculation is that England could bid again for the 2026 competition.

X Factor: The Live Shows (Week 7)
Louie's always the one to get the rule book out. Both he & Cheryl broke the rules last night. Imagine isn't a Beatles song. It was a John Lennon song written & recorded by JL in 1975 - 5 years after the Beatles split. I don't know where Louie thinks Hippy Hippy Shake was a Beatles song. It wasn't written by any of them - they never recorded it. It was a #2 hit in 1964 for Swinging Blue Jeans but the original was written & recorded by Chan Romero in 1959 and just making the US Hot 100. Here's the original sKJ_X89iRfU IMO Paije & Wagner bottom 2 again They are both consistantly bad. Top 4 Rebecca - Cher - Mary - Matt Most have had at least one off week - 3 weeks ago Cher - 2 weeks ago Matt - last week - Mary - this week Rebecca (nerves got the better of her and it wasn't the best song for her, Across The Universe would have been great). Rebecca's still my fave though and has been every week.

General Johnson dies aged 67
General Norman Johnson leader singer of early 1970s soul band Chairmen Of The Board and also R&B songwriter died on 13 October aged 67 He died due to complications of Lung Cancer Johnson made an early start in the music when he began singing in his church choir at the age of six. His recording debut came six years later on Atlantic Records, who waxed his group the Humdingers, although the tracks remain unreleased. In 1961, and following a change in name to The Showmen, Johnson and the group issued via Minit Records the single "It Will Stand." The track was a chart hit in both 1961 and 1964. Although The Showmen recorded other offerings for Minit and Swan, including such hits as "39-21-46", they split up in 1968.[2] Johnson attempted an abortive solo career before joining the then new Invictus label in Detroit, Michigan. Steered by Holland-Dozier-Holland, Johnson recruited Danny Woods (ex-The Showmen), Harrison Kennedy, and Eddie Curtis and created Chairmen of the Board. Their debut single, "Give Me Just a Little More Time", rose to #3 in the US Billboard R&B chart in 1970. Further hits included "(You've Got Me) Dangling on a String" and "Everything's Tuesday." R.I.P. The X Factor 2010: Live Shows (Week 6)
Hope it's wrong because Imagine is not a Beatles song - It is a John Lennon song. It wasn't recorded until 1975 - 5 years after The Beatles split. There sure are some very safe songs there. - Nothing really challenging except maybe Come Together

The X Factor 2010: Live Shows (Week 6)
NAAAAAAAAAHHH! - Glee are crap :puke2: I think Cher would be suited to Tomorrow Never Knows Rebecca - Across The Universe - (Siobahn Magnus style) Matt - And Your Bird Can Sing or Free As A Bird Mary - Something - (Shirley Bassey style) Wagner - I Am The Walrus / I'm A Loser (mashup) -- (it'll be another disaster anyway) Wand Erection - With A Little Help From My Friends Katie - Fixing A Hole or Revolution Paije - Hey Jude - (Wilson Pickett style)
-
X Factor, this years shock exit?
If Rebecca of Cher go out - i'll not bother watching the rest of the series. There's no one else out the now I like

The X Factor 2010: Live Shows (Week 6)
Sorry Aled - I disagree with you about Konnie - She not half as bad as Dermot O'Dreary

The X Factor 2010: Live Shows (Week 6)
Paige & Wan4er should have been bottom 2 this week. They are by far the worst 2 left. IMO the finalists should now be between Rebecca and either Cher or Matt. After the results show I would say Wand Erection are better than JLS and Pestlife but a million miles short of Take That's talent.

The X Factor 2010: Live Shows (Week 5)
They should stop this whole save/send home routine. They should just go off the viewers votes like they do on AI, it's the fairest way.

The X Factor 2010: Live Shows (Week 5)
It was Dermot O'Dreary that annouced it was Elton John week

The X Factor 2010: Live Shows (Week 5)
Cheryl didn't want to abstain - she said she wanted to be the last to save and she would have taken it to deadlock

The X Factor 2010: Live Shows (Week 5)
Both Louis & Simon got it wrong this week. Kim Wilde's Kids In America is not an American Anthem. But Louis got it wrong saying it wasn't a hit in the US. It was - it peaked at #25 I just can't see what people see in the dirty old tramp WAGNER. :puke2: Let's see how they ruin Elton John week I'd love to see Rebecca sing Rocket Man

The X Factor 2010: Live Shows (Week 5)
Wagner - deffo yes but Mary deffo not. Mary's a great singer and that's what it's all about I think along with Wagner (who's just a bloody joke) I think it should be either Paije or Wand Erection that should go. Both are very mediocre and have been all along.
-
"This is JLS"
Deffo won't be watching - can't stand 'em

Best Cranberries single?
I go for Dreams - Dolores voice is so haunting on this

The X Factor 2010: Live Shows (Week 4)
