Glad One Direction went (although it was a shock) with all the little kids voting for them. If they had won, Simon would have tried to turn them into some kind of boring Pestlife clones. Matt's winning single When We Collide - never heard it - I didn't like it so i'm not surprised. Rebecca's winning song was brilliant. My favourite Duffy song although shortened - Rebecca's was 3.35 and Duffy's original was 5.06 I'll definately buy her album - She was brilliant throughout. I love her. Here's the original of Distant Dreamer k3P60W2kpiM

Anyone watching the tram closely would notice the tram used for the crash was a mixture of a real tram and a mock-up (I would imagine the bit where it comes off the viaduct is the mock-up!). The actual tram used was one of Manchester's Metrolink trams and it was fleet number 1015 one of the first phase vehicles and it was specially put in the new yellow and silver livery in a vinyl wrap for the filming - this vinyl wrap was rapidly removed after filming had concluded (interestingly the tram was renumbered 1030 of which this fleet number does not exist, and the Metrolink name was replaced by PolitanLink). The viaduct as such doesn't exist. It's just a facade This was the actual tram used http://www.worldcharts.co.uk/images/1015.jpg
  4. They'd have to pay me to go and watch them   - they're diabolical :puke2: :puke2:
  5. Acts on results show. Alexandra Burke - really good Black Eyed Pease - Brilliant Glee - Absolute crap :puke2: :puke2:
  6. Good - I hate Eminem :puke2:
  7. Rebecca - both songs brilliantly performed - Show Me Love (not my fave club song) - Amazing Grace was amazing brilliance (most acapella and mesmerising) Matt - Pretty good on first song but this song was so repetative - Hated the second song which seemed all over the place. Only Billy Joel give this song it's emotion. One Direction - Childish rubbish on both songs - although a great song by Snow Patrol they did it a great injustice. Mary - Belted out her first song by Gloria Gaynor (thankfully is wasn't the rubbish I Will Survive). Much prefered her second song originally by Gladys Knight. Cher - Did a great job with both songs. Problem was they were too recent to be classics. My ranking: 1. Rebecca (by a mile) 2. Cher 3 Matt 4 Mary 5 Wand Erection :puke2: IMO Rebecca's one of the 2 best acts ever on X Factor along with Leona.
  8. I would have loved seeing them sing: Rebecca - U96 - Love Religion il9nlRFXcR0 Mary - Black Box - Right On Time D1X6qXkLjYE Matt - Haddaway - What Is Love 0YXuq25BMVI Wand Erecton - Eiffel 65 - Blue 68ugkg9RePc Cher - Culture Beat - Mr. Vain TbGXKfXAHlo
  9. I think someone got their dates wrong. TV keeps saying that the next World Cup we can bid for is 2030. FIFA says that countries from the same continent cannot bid for 2 consecutive competitions. My calculation is that England could bid again for the 2026 competition.

    1. Rebecca 2. Cher 3. Matt 4. Mary 5. Wand Erection
  11. For me it's got to be Mary & Wand Erection Rebecca is the new Leona
  12. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Switch off time :puke2: This is the fourth time this season that the sound will mute. The others were for Shayne Ward, JLS & Pestlife
  13. Bieber's just like Wand Erection - appealing to 14 year old girls with rising hormone levels. None of them can sing
  14. Everything by JLS, Joe McElderry, Jedward, Shayne Ward, Dizzee Rascal, Iyaz, Eminem and Glee Cast
  15. 48 R 1 The Beatles Twist And Shout 64 R 1 The Beatles Here Comes The Sun These 2 are incorrect Mikey - They are New Entries NOT Re-Entries - they were never released as singles before only album tracks. Shows just how brilliant they were - over 40 years later and The Beatles have 10 singles in the Top 100 this week I don't think that any acts of today will be doing the same thing 40+ years on!!!

What has happened to that soft drink Sarsaparilla? Where the hell can you get it from these days? Anyone still remember it? I used to love it.
  17. Louie's always the one to get the rule book out. Both he & Cheryl broke the rules last night. Imagine isn't a Beatles song. It was a John Lennon song written & recorded by JL in 1975 - 5 years after the Beatles split. I don't know where Louie thinks Hippy Hippy Shake was a Beatles song. It wasn't written by any of them - they never recorded it. It was a #2 hit in 1964 for Swinging Blue Jeans but the original was written & recorded by Chan Romero in 1959 and just making the US Hot 100. Here's the original sKJ_X89iRfU IMO Paije & Wagner bottom 2 again They are both consistantly bad. Top 4 Rebecca - Cher - Mary - Matt Most have had at least one off week - 3 weeks ago Cher - 2 weeks ago Matt - last week - Mary - this week Rebecca (nerves got the better of her and it wasn't the best song for her, Across The Universe would have been great). Rebecca's still my fave though and has been every week.
  18. General Norman Johnson leader singer of early 1970s soul band Chairmen Of The Board and also R&B songwriter died on 13 October aged 67 He died due to complications of Lung Cancer Johnson made an early start in the music when he began singing in his church choir at the age of six. His recording debut came six years later on Atlantic Records, who waxed his group the Humdingers, although the tracks remain unreleased. In 1961, and following a change in name to The Showmen, Johnson and the group issued via Minit Records the single "It Will Stand." The track was a chart hit in both 1961 and 1964. Although The Showmen recorded other offerings for Minit and Swan, including such hits as "39-21-46", they split up in 1968.[2] Johnson attempted an abortive solo career before joining the then new Invictus label in Detroit, Michigan. Steered by Holland-Dozier-Holland, Johnson recruited Danny Woods (ex-The Showmen), Harrison Kennedy, and Eddie Curtis and created Chairmen of the Board. Their debut single, "Give Me Just a Little More Time", rose to #3 in the US Billboard R&B chart in 1970. Further hits included "(You've Got Me) Dangling on a String" and "Everything's Tuesday." Liz is my number 1 Laura my number 2 I will miss Sandeesh All the guys this year seem far to cocky
  20. Hope it's wrong because Imagine is not a Beatles song - It is a John Lennon song. It wasn't recorded until 1975 - 5 years after The Beatles split. There sure are some very safe songs there. - Nothing really challenging except maybe Come Together
  21. NAAAAAAAAAHHH! - Glee are crap :puke2: I think Cher would be suited to Tomorrow Never Knows Rebecca - Across The Universe - (Siobahn Magnus style) Matt - And Your Bird Can Sing or Free As A Bird Mary - Something - (Shirley Bassey style) Wagner - I Am The Walrus / I'm A Loser (mashup) -- (it'll be another disaster anyway) Wand Erection - With A Little Help From My Friends Katie - Fixing A Hole or Revolution Paije - Hey Jude - (Wilson Pickett style)
  22. If Rebecca of Cher go out - i'll not bother watching the rest of the series. There's no one else out the now I like
