R.I.P. Shadrach You'll be sadly missed -- he provided the only real comedy to the show. Andy Devine played the part brilliantly.

  6. There was one in the early 90s and it was on R1 on Wednesday evenings from 8.00pm to 10pm. They only played Top 20 though. I forget who presented it. They wouldn't put a European chart show on now because the BBC are bias against European music in favour of the largely rubbish US stuff.
  7. I will definately NOT be watching this. Can't stand them :puke2:
  8. Another single that was banned by BBC. Je T'aime...Moi Non Plus by Jane Birkin & Serge Gainsbourg The controversy was such that Philips withdrew it from the Fontana catalogue and was then taken up by Major Minor. As there were still Fontana singles in the shops along with the Major Minor stock it made it so that for 2 weeks in October 1969 it was at 2 positions on the Top 50. 50-45-32-17-17-8-6-4-2-3 & 16-1 & 33-2-4-9-14-20-31-38-43-42-46-49-49 > 23 weeks Also at the same time another banned single was Wet Dream by Max Romeo This reggae single also had a weird chart run 46-41-45-32-32-34-33-21-36-15-30-10-13-18-20-18-26-26-33-30-32-35-34-43-ReEntry 3 weeks later at 50>25 weeks
  9. Maybe also because there was a BBC ban on it at the time

Brilliant album - one of the best albums ever made with sales of over 25 million Though this is the only album of Fleetwood Mac I after the early Peter Green days Also on the album is the track called THE CHAIN of which the instrumental break near the end is the BBC theme to Formula One. v1iuSmZHcwY

Melanie C - First Day Of My Life -- (released all over mainland Europe and a massive hit there but not released in the UK) It's also one of her best W9n5AkJU-so Fleetwood Mac - The Chain -- this is the best track on the Rumours album Pink - Dear Mr. President -- another one that was massive in mainland Europe
  13. 70 years ago this week back in 1940 saw the publication of the first ever USA singles chart It was just a Top 10 then and restricted to just a few artists due to the war years. You can check it out (and listen to the first US #1) along with other chart archives HERE

Anyone else been having the same problem as I have been this last 2 days. It works fine until you want to watch a video and then I get an ERROR 502 message. Last time this happened earlier this year they said it was due to system upgrades I wonder what their excuse will be this time.
  15. Hope it's a giant flop I cannot stand the talentless ugly whore
  16. Diana Vickers - The Boy Who Murdered Love Climbing this week from #127 to #79 on its 4th chart week - What's you prediction? If JLS can get to #1 - I think Diana deserves it by miles. E1wKCXbrK74

  18. I watched it on a visit to Holland recently and I have to say IMO it's miles better than VH-1 UK - the type of music is so diverse and international. All we get in the UK is UK & US stuff that they play on any other music channel.

  24. In 2000 there was Alizee - Moi...Lolita There were quite a few in the mid 90s A couple of the biggest were Wes - Alane -- Sash! - Encore Un Fois and even Celine Dion with Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore The first ever (I think one of only two) complete foreign language single to reach #1 was actually banned at the time. The single in question was Je T'aime...Moi Non Plus by Jane Birkin & Serge Gainsboro back in 1969 -- (naughty buy nice) sHiMDB19Dyc Also peaking at #21 in August that same year was Si Tu Dois Partir by Fairport Convention Originally written by Bob Dylan and the English version originally a 1965 #2 hit for Manfred Mann AmmCSOpPzZc Apart from Je T'aime and Fairport the oldest one I have is Tour De France by Kraftwerk It was a #21 hit back in 1983. QLiai4gg_0Q I also have the original German version of the Kraftwerk #1 from 1981 The Model QUwHwXBBJTM
  25. I don't think there was a European country where it didn't chart - Mostly getting Top 5 also.
