  5. I hope the following DON'T perform as they're all rubbish JLS Westlife Boyzone Joe McEldrey Britney Spears (who can't sing live) I'd LOVE any of the following to perform Lady GaGa Katy Perry Eliza Doolittle David Guetta Plan B Lady Antebellum Diana Vickers Taylor Swift Enrique Iglesias Maroon 5 Train Ke$ha Carrie Underwood I also hope they have a ROCK night again. To really challenge them I'd love to see a Country night
  6. The charts as you refer as of 2002 ( charts entering at their peak) were actually this way for 10 years, from mid 1995 to April 2005. Singles during this time would enter at their peak only to drop like a stone with the average chart longevity was around 4 to 6 weeks. April 2005 was when downloads were integrated into the main chart. So after 10 years of boring, uninteresting charts, they had become interesting again as you didn't know if a single would climb or fall. It was at this time the OCC increased the official chart from Top 75 to Top 100. The chart had a spell as a Top 100 from 1983 to 1991 when it was then reduced back to Top 75 due to falling sales.
  7. Congratulations to Stromae on charting with Alors On Danse Deserves to go a lot higher. It's been massive all over mainland Europe. Got this on German Import about 6 months ago 2 Foreign language singles in the chart - just goes to show that they DO sell. Record companies take note! Stromae was born in Brussels in March 1985 - real name Paul van Haver. For those who haven't yet heard it -U-Af50wO7g

Apparently it's been a bad day down SE and London. Heaven rain, thunderstorms temp around 20C (68F) This is just how it's been in NW England since those 2 weeks in June. Your temp today is the max it's been here since then. In fact today we are having heavy showers, strong wind, and temp is only 13C (55F). Hardly summer

You're really lucky then. In NW England (apart from 2 weeks in June) it's been cold wet and windy. In fact since the end of June we've not had 2 days together where it hasn't rained and it's never been above 19C - 66F So much so that our lawn is like jungle with not being able to mow it. Some days it's blown a gale Temperatures in the low 60s - right now noon on Wednesday it's 15C 59F degrees and raining. So hardly a summer.

He had such a lot of tragedy in his life. His first wife died in a Motorcycle accident then his second wife and children died in a fire. I loved his 60s songs but don't like his 80s offerings My faves are In Dreams, Crying (in 1980 a #1 for Don McLean), It's Over, It's Too Soon To Know and So Good (the last one never seems to be available on any compilations).

Not a flop but a disappointing followup Freda Payne - Band Of Gold -- #1 in 1970 was followed up with Deeper & Deeper which peaked at #33 although I think it was a good song and worthy of being Top 10. Also it was another produced by the legendary Holland-Dozier-Holland team of Motown fame. Here it is (after the intro). pLTQdGchh6s

Just when will our weather forecasters get the weather correct or keep their mouths shut. This is the second year that they said we will have a barbeque summer - but where are they. We haven't had a really good summer since 2006 Last year was a complete washout as is this year apart from 2 weeks in June. I don't see how 2 weeks makes a summer. We really deserve a brilliant summer especially after the winter we just had. With global warming they said we'd have hotter drier summers (where are they) and milder wetter winters. Well last winter was freezing with snow lasting over a month. If the forecasters can't get it right they should shut up instead of building up people's hopes. Some people even decide to spend their holidays in the UK instead of going abroad. What do they get for their holidays a complete cold washout.

R.I.P. Shadrach You'll be sadly missed -- he provided the only real comedy to the show. Andy Devine played the part brilliantly.

  25. There was one in the early 90s and it was on R1 on Wednesday evenings from 8.00pm to 10pm. They only played Top 20 though. I forget who presented it. They wouldn't put a European chart show on now because the BBC are bias against European music in favour of the largely rubbish US stuff.
