  1. I will definately NOT be watching this. Can't stand them :puke2:
  2. Another single that was banned by BBC. Je T'aime...Moi Non Plus by Jane Birkin & Serge Gainsbourg The controversy was such that Philips withdrew it from the Fontana catalogue and was then taken up by Major Minor. As there were still Fontana singles in the shops along with the Major Minor stock it made it so that for 2 weeks in October 1969 it was at 2 positions on the Top 50. 50-45-32-17-17-8-6-4-2-3 & 16-1 & 33-2-4-9-14-20-31-38-43-42-46-49-49 > 23 weeks Also at the same time another banned single was Wet Dream by Max Romeo This reggae single also had a weird chart run 46-41-45-32-32-34-33-21-36-15-30-10-13-18-20-18-26-26-33-30-32-35-34-43-ReEntry 3 weeks later at 50>25 weeks
  3. Maybe also because there was a BBC ban on it at the time

Brilliant album - one of the best albums ever made with sales of over 25 million Though this is the only album of Fleetwood Mac I after the early Peter Green days Also on the album is the track called THE CHAIN of which the instrumental break near the end is the BBC theme to Formula One. v1iuSmZHcwY

  7. 70 years ago this week back in 1940 saw the publication of the first ever USA singles chart It was just a Top 10 then and restricted to just a few artists due to the war years. You can check it out (and listen to the first US #1) along with other chart archives HERE

Anyone else been having the same problem as I have been this last 2 days. It works fine until you want to watch a video and then I get an ERROR 502 message. Last time this happened earlier this year they said it was due to system upgrades I wonder what their excuse will be this time.
  9. Hope it's a giant flop I cannot stand the talentless ugly whore
  10. Diana Vickers - The Boy Who Murdered Love Climbing this week from #127 to #79 on its 4th chart week - What's you prediction? If JLS can get to #1 - I think Diana deserves it by miles. E1wKCXbrK74

  13. I watched it on a visit to Holland recently and I have to say IMO it's miles better than VH-1 UK - the type of music is so diverse and international. All we get in the UK is UK & US stuff that they play on any other music channel.

  19. I fully agree with you about about the diversity of nationalities but just why has the chart domination got to be by US Rap/R&B rubbish which it has now for the last decade.

  22. In 2000 there was Alizee - Moi...Lolita There were quite a few in the mid 90s A couple of the biggest were Wes - Alane -- Sash! - Encore Un Fois and even Celine Dion with Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore The first ever (I think one of only two) complete foreign language single to reach #1 was actually banned at the time. The single in question was Je T'aime...Moi Non Plus by Jane Birkin & Serge Gainsboro back in 1969 -- (naughty buy nice) sHiMDB19Dyc Also peaking at #21 in August that same year was Si Tu Dois Partir by Fairport Convention Originally written by Bob Dylan and the English version originally a 1965 #2 hit for Manfred Mann AmmCSOpPzZc Apart from Je T'aime and Fairport the oldest one I have is Tour De France by Kraftwerk It was a #21 hit back in 1983. QLiai4gg_0Q I also have the original German version of the Kraftwerk #1 from 1981 The Model QUwHwXBBJTM
  23. I don't think there was a European country where it didn't chart - Mostly getting Top 5 also.
  24. The only ones I used to like were Beavis & Butthead and the spin-off Daria. http://www.worldcharts.co.uk/images/beavis.jpg The Simpsons are now well past their sell-by date. After 21 years IMO they're just not funny anymore. As for the others -- Nuff Said :puke2:

Benidorm star Geoffrey Hutchings has died suddenly aged 71. The Rada-trained actor, who played thong-wearing sunbed tycoon Mel Harvey in the ITV comedy, is thought to have fallen victim to a 24-hour virus. His agent Roger Charteris said: "He was fine at lunchtime on Wednesday but had died by Thursday morning." Dorchester-born Hutchings is a familiar face from stage, TV and British film over 40 years. He will be best remembered for his diverse TV roles, including Our Friends In The North, Bad Girls and BBC1's EastEnders. Movies included John Cleese's Clockwise and Mike Leigh's Topsy-Turvy. He was due to begin filming the next series of ITV1's Benidorm soon and his BBC2 sitcom Grandma's House is due out this summer. Mr Charteris said: "He never stopped working." Geoffrey is survived by second wife Andi and his three children. R.I.P. Geoffrey http://www.worldcharts.co.uk/images/benidorm.jpg Source: Daily Mirror
