Yes I think so. They are mirroring the formula they used for Leona's Spirit deluxe album as far as single release strategies go: Forgive Me/Start Without You before the re-release, followed by an x factor performance and new single premiere to promote the album release. On a side note, for this entire time I thought the track Perfect Mistake (nice enough but bland) which also leaked was infact the song Perfect :blush: Hence why I have been a bit baffled by all the single rumours surrounding Perfect :lol: Having now heard the track, i think it is beautiful and powerful and am very much looking forward to hearing the album version, particularly if it is infact a duet :)

Pushed back to Oct 18th......i bet she has got an X Factor slot and that is why! Good decision as it was going to flop HARD if it had been released in September

:lol: The Sugababes lost their credibility a loooooong time ago sweetpea. They have been on the decline since Change....why would they be invited onto the biggest TV show in the UK when even a large majority of their fans have turned their backs on them?? Well Miley Cyrus is a MUCH bigger name worldwide than the Saturdays.....she has sold millions of albums remember! Not quite sure about Pixie now...i think Simon must just like her, why else ask her to be a guest judge and have her perform on BGT?? Shes hardly massive in the UK (yes she has been successful, but hardly Lady GaGa or Beyonce style proportions!)

Neither are Take That or Westlife and they are X Factor regulars. They are still massive in the UK, as is (was?) Girls Aloud (even more so now that Cheryl is on the panel!)

lol they don't have a hope in hell of getting on the X factor. Simon is always pushing to get MASSIVE worldwide names (Mariah, Whitney, George Michael, Paul McCartney, Celine etc.) or other x factor related acts (Cheryl, Leona, JLS, Alex etc). The Sats are sadly neither of these!

Oh this thread is SO ridiculous! Why compare the 2 groups?? As many members have already stated, the differences in sales are largely due to different sales periods (physical vs download eras). You therefore CANNOT compare early GA singles with the first Saturdays singles to draw up a fair comparison. Jesus, its not rocket science people!!!!! I just do not understand this incessant need to compare groups/artists....saying stuff like "oh GA 1st single has sold more than the Sats 1st single, which obviously shows that Cheryl is gorgeous and Vanessa is ugly!" (ok yes i was taking the p*** there, but you get what i mean ^_^ ) Grow the hell up people! Both are completely different groups, and have enjoyed immense success!

Im aware of this fact, but even so, i guarantee that all these songs have sold a lot more with every subsequent album release of hers, especially now with the dominance of downloads :)

Id love to see more up-to-date figures for the singles in the UK for this era, as they look REALLY off here :huh:

Agreed 100%. My comment b4 was in no way disrespecting GaGa at all, but people just cannot sell the same amount of albums these days cos of all the illegal downloading! ITs just a sign of the times...
