Hey guys, I have a question about the North American version of Spirit. Do the songs that appear on both the UK version and the North American version differ in anyway, for example...on the American version did the single edits of Better in time (with the 'tinkly' piano bits and added percussion) and Footprints in the sand (with the acapella intro like in the video) replace the original album versions that the UK got? Also, if they were added (i hope they were....especially for Better in Time as the single edit is much better than the UK album version) are there any other changes between the different versions? Thanks :)

I agree with you on everything you just said!!! Take a Bow would be perfect for the summer which means Forgive Me could be released in the autumn time along with a re-release of the album with the 2 new songs...and maybe the bsides Forgiveness and You Bring Me Down or other extras such a dvd of all the videos??? :w00t:

I have a question....how come Leona's Better in Time/Footprints in the Sand is already being counted as a double A-side? i thought they weren't released together till the 10th of March or can u download them together already? I'm asking as i thought they would chart separately until they r released together digitally/on cd

Am i just blind or is Rehab by Amy Winehouse not in the chart?? What is up with that considering it is in the top ten of the hot digital tracks? You Know Im No Good re-entered and it is only top 50 of the hot digital tracks...why hasn't rehab re-entered?

Especially if the other song is Footprints in the Sand as it seems to be a bit of a fan favourite (and was one of the album songs to chart through downloads alone because of its popularity when the album was released)......but better in time?? wtf? So not impressed. Whatever it takes and Take a bow are SCREAMING for release....

I have never been a fan of Mika...Grace Kelly irritated me (however i could see its appeal)...Love Today and Big Girls (You Are Beautiful were ATROCIOUS single choices....but then came along Happy Ending which is one of my favourite songs of the year (and i find him annoying lol). As for these 2 songs....they are really REALLY good and i am just totally shocked that they weren't released (or re-released) as the 2nd and 3rd singles. What the hell were the label thinking??? Shania has confirmed that her new album will be out next year (2008) and that she is working on songs as we speak!!!!! I hope it ain't another November release like she has done for the last 2 albums cos that's too far away!! A late summer release would be perfect with another single out in time for the Christmas rush!! Bout bloody time she's putting another album out though :P Her last studio album, Up! was out in 2002!!!!!! Friggin AGES ago lol!!! But her albums are always worth the wait!! I agree completely with what you said myfunkodyssey. shania always makes me smile because her music is so catchy and "feel good"!! As for the Greatest Hits, it sold 545,000 in 2004 and 108,000 in 2005 (both figures from Music Week) making a grand total of 653,000 up to the end of 2005 so i would estimate by now it had topped 700,000 in the UK
