China-Tibet-Olympic Games
I agree mostly, it is most probable that this person believes everything that is printed in the official newspapers... which you could probably imagine isn't the most balanced source of information  (Although it has improved, slightly). I don't see how you can say that British people "challenge authority" though, infact I think we could be well one of the most politically apathetic nations on earth. There has been no threat of any revolution... not even in the 1930's when things were really $h!t... like there was in Germany. Or anything on the scale of when there was near revolution in 1968 in France. Ok, there has been a few riots, a few big strikes (what use did most of them do though?) and none threatened a revolution of any kind. Just look at the voting turnout figures!

Cricket
I see no mention of this fine sport. I play for a proper team, not very well but still... tend to not watch so much cricket because it bores me on the TV. But enjoy watching it "live" or playing it is even better. Anyone else play/played/watched cricket with any interest :o

teachers strike...
The teachers are striking because this "payrise" they are getting is actually a PAYCUT, as it doesn't keep up with inflation. Also, they are striking about the way the teachers have to "teach", it is all geared towards business, and churning out workers for the future. Call Centre Operators, Office Workers etc etc, it's not about learning anymore, and the original British "Liberal" education is being lost. For example, a few years ago it was almost impossible to exclude a pupil, now it is a fairly simple move. College's can chuck people out of courses for getting D's and E's, even if they putting the effort in.

Gas Prices In The US...
After a quick bit of research I have found that Americans on average pay $3.51(ish) for a gallon of gas. So that is about £1.70ish? We may have to pay that for a LITRE. About £1.10 for a litre of petrol where I live. Don't see how you can complain, especially when that means that for a gallon of petrol we may have to pay £4.95 or almost $10 for it in the U.K. You have it lucky!

Cajun Dance Party ›› 'The Colourful Life'
This is pretty poor, not a song stands out apart from The Race and Amylase... oh wait they've already been released. I'll still give it another listen, but is very disappointing to be honest. They should stick to revising...

Indy Racing
I've watched a few races although none for a while. I aren't surprised she has won eventually, infact she should have won a few races before but bad luck struck her at key moments or she made a mistake.

Cajun Dance Party- The Race
me36nLUnuSE Newest single from these sixth-formers  I really like it, not too keen on their other stuff but this seems to be different for me. I amy even go and see them, but I'll have to check the pennies first... Find it funny too they aren't doing much stuff musicially at the moment... because they are too busy revising!

Hot Club de Paris- Hey Housebrick
New single from Liverpool based Hot Club de Paris. http://www.myspace.com/hotclubdeparis Not my favourite song from these (considering I love their first album) but I expect the new album to be class. The other few songs on their myspace that they are releasing on the new album (Live at Dead Lake) sound good too. ^_^

China-Tibet-Olympic Games
I'm surprised to see no real mention of this issue on here... In short, I don't see why no countries are threatening to boycott the games this summer, surely the only reason they dare not do it is that China has become such an economic powerhouse that its basicially "untouchable". Although the British and American humanitarian records are hardly great... surely the world could do something against the Chinese government? Even if it had little effect, it would still give them something to think about. Even most European states want "nothing" to do with China and Tibet, some claiming "it's none of their business of Chinese internal affairs". Which in my opinion is just a political smokescreen as they realise the importance of China. No-one seems to be stood against it, for example the Greek police where the torch was first lit treated protestors awfully, beating them in front of the worlds media. Did we condemn them? No. The treatment of the Dalai Lama and the blaming of him for the unrest seems somewhat strange too. Would you be fully supportive of a boycott of the Olympic games in Beijing due to China's handling of unrest and general treatment of the Tibetan people?
