I suppose Dido's massive flop is not that much of a surprise. She disappeared for 5 years, returned with rubbish and didn't even bother to promote it. She may as well not have bothered. I loved her first two albums but this project has been terribly disappointing and not worth the massive delay.

The same countires qualify every year. Hell will freeze over before the likes of Greece, Turkey, Russia, Armenia etc fail to qualify. Ireland will stay in the semis with the likes of Belgium, Netherlands and Andorra for at least 20 years.

There are 43 countries participating. No need for the UK to get angry because they have not won for 10 years. It took Finland about 40 years to win and it is taking Portugal even longer. They don't seem to complain. It could take about another 35 years for the UK not to win and there being statistically nothing unusual about it.

They should have just invited Cyndi back and asked her to sing all 6 songs and let the public decide which was the best.
