I think Shania is only predicted to be number 10 in the US chart, so maybe that is why she is concentrating her efforts here. Odd for a country artist to be doing better in the UK than in the US.

I think they need to rework the formula for what counts as an album "sale". I think it currently far too high- don't think I have ever come remotely close to streaming any album enough to count as one.

Nikki and Paulo were kinda meh. I prefer it when writers sucessfully redeem hated characters rather than just swiftly kill them off though I wasn't sorry to see the back of them. Illana had the same fate as pretty much all the female characters had on Lost. No plot relevance, little screentime, hints she could be interesting but then swiftly killed off without exploring it.

RUTH has finally been added to big playlists on Spotify so that should also give it a boost.

Yes, though the permanent ACR rule for 3 year old songs needs a rethink so it can be applied consistently. Just reset songs if they would have reached a new peak without ACR- problem solved.

I think they should just say that any song on permanent ACR that would reach a new peak without it is automatically reset- even Christmas songs as ACR doesn't stop them clogging up the chart every year anyway. Songs like Don't Blame me by Taylor Swift being on permanent ACR at the moment despite never having charted previously is equally ridiculous to Kate being blocked from number 1.

Running Up That Hill climbs to number 4 in USA, becoming the first song written and produced by a solo female to crack the top 5 in 18 years. :cheer: Has it been that long here?

I wouldn't be suprised if they were cancelled. She cancelled the final two dates in London of her last tour at the last moment, cancelled the Vegas dates at the last moment, may as well make it a hatrick. She will probably release a tearful apology video and then disappear for 6-7 years before the next celebrity love in on the BBC.

Hope the press pick up on the absurd situation of one of the most crticially acclaimed acts of all time being blocked from getting only her second number 1 by a song spending it's tenth week at number 1 by an idiotic chart rule that exists to supposedly keep the chart "fresh"and "exciting".
