That's probably true however he must have loads of money of the back of his career. I can't think he needs the money ! But yes Crowded House are more well-known than Neil Finn. Together Alone is a truly excellent album , think i might go listen to it now................. :)

Great band - however Finn was the driving force behind the music anyway wonder why he ressurected the band name? I got the album he released with his brother , i think it was called "Everyone is here". You should check it out, it is superb!

Films have no influence over your awareness of what is right and wrong. Mentally fit people (even strange people or stupid people) all know the difference between right and wrong.

I really love the song 'Marlene on the wall'. Had a 12" of it on an old cassette , never realised there was a video! Dontcha just love UTube for searching out bands and artists :naughty:

Talented man! I like the hits mentioned but also 'hometown' really strikes a chord with me for some reason.

They wrote some cracking tunes. A Little Time and Old Red Eyes but I also love the likes of 36D, My Book and Let Love Speak Up Itself. Not sure if any of those last ones were released as singles tho :unsure:

Great band - Hotel California is a great album. I also liked Henleys solo album 'The End Of Innocence' which contains the song 'New York Minute'.

so..... if 12 year olds started listening to one of your so-called metal underground bands - that band would be moved to the pop forum ?? The popularity of a band surely can't influence its classification??? I'd never even heard of the term 'emo' when I first listened to Black Parade and it sounded like heavy rock to me :unsure:

HEART - ALONE - what a fkin great song !

I thought their first album was really great, especially Gay Bar and Danger oh and the superb Naked Pictures Of Your Mother. However I think the bloke is a bit obsessed with Freddie Mercury plus I didn't like the way they copied Van Halens (well Dave Lee Roths') speech bit from 'Panama'. Inspiration not immitation dudes !

It's the cartoons of the 1980's that were best ! Transformers (Spielberg is making this into a film as we speak!) He-Man M.A.S.K that kinda thing !

Rock/Metal ballads have produced some great songs down the years and was of course a great way for some of those bands to 'cross over' into the mainstream. Whitesnake did it with 'Is This Love', Foreigner with 'Waiting For A Girl Like You, Alice Cooper with 'Poison, Billy Idol with 'White Wedding' to name but a few. These days of course 'aor ballads' are usually performed by boybands such as Backstreet Boys

I like the attitude of Be Here Now also - especially when Liam sings "been kicking up a storm since the day I was born" and Don't Go Away is a cracking ballad. I was very impressed by Heathen Chemistry which I think is marginally better than Def Maybe. Def Maybe is very good but What's the Story was the saviour of Rock n' roll in the nineties !!!
