  6. Michael Jackson visits Smithsonian Museums with his children Michael Jackson has been seen out and about in Washington D.C. taking his children on a tour of the Smithsonian's National Air and Space and American Indian museums yesterday.(18.07.2007) The King Of Pop, who was wearing his trademark hat and sunglasses and striped pants, his children who where very well behaved and his bodygaurds arrived at the museums before the buildings opened to the public. At Air and Space, the 45-minute tour was led by 84-year-old Deputy Director Don Lopez, a World War II ace who gave Jackson a similar tour 25 years ago. The singer lingered over the 1903 Wright Flyer, his kids loved R2-D2 and C-3PO. Michael Jackson's rep Raymone Bain confirmed he is in D.C. with his kids as a tourist doing the usual tourist things "He wanted to show them the sights," said rep Raymone Bain, who said MJ will be in the area for a few days; he's still looking for a summer home, and hasn't bought a place yet. 8. Cheney, Rumsfeld could get new neighbour: Michael Jackson WASHINGTON - FIRST came Donald Rumsfeld, then Dick Cheney - and now the coyly chic Maryland town of St. Michaels might get its first 'royalty": the King of Pop Michael Jackson. Local media reported that Jackson helicoptered last weekend into the 17th century Chesapeake Bay-front village on Maryland's Eastern Shore to cruise the real estate market for his own digs. This was where the US vice president and former defense secretary keep holiday getaways. According to the Washington's Examiner newspaper, Jackson checked into the luxurious colonial manor house Inn at Perry Cabin. The local WBAL television showed footage from the air of a mysterious person hiding behind white sheets as he got into a stretch limousine at the hotel. Jackson's Washington-based publicist Raymone Bain confirmed the visit to 'scout out some summer houses.' 'He's always admired the properties on the East Coast because they have a lot of land. Neverland (Jackson's shuttered California estate) has 1,200 hectares - he likes privacy. You can't find as many properties like that on the West Coast,' Mr Bain said. If Jackson does buy in St. Michaels - a romantic tourist town in an area of corn farmers, crab and oyster fishermen and duck hunters - he will be trading the flashy Hollywood elite he knows well for Washington's grey-suited powerful and privileged. But the Examiner reported that the idea of Jackson and his eccentric entourage settling in the area has locals aghast. 'God, I hope he doesn't move here,' one resident told the paper. -- AFP http://www.straitstimes.com/Latest%2BNews/...ory_135805.html

  20. Michael Jackson has put to rest the rumors currently doing the rounds saying they are "untrue, defamatory and malicious in nature" and says that his attorney's will be addressing people intent on destroying his image. Media reports in recent weeks have been speculating about everything from the state of Jackson's health to stories his brother has stolen from him. Raymone K. Bain, Jackson's representative, addressed the rumors all at once in the following statement: "There have been several news reports regarding Mr. Michael Jackson that are untrue, defamatory and malicious in nature. Mr. Jackson is not bedridden nor on any type of medication…including painkillers. In fact, Mr. Jackson is doing very well, and conducted a meeting with his advisors yesterday, which included Former Attorney General Benjamin R. Civiletti, and Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr., among others. There was no press release issued from Mr. Jackson’s organization regarding any European tour plans. Despite reports to the contrary, Mr. Jackson is currently in the studio putting finishing touches on his music. Mr. Jackson has not “left” Las Vegas nor is he being “evicted” from his residence in Las Vegas. He decided not to exercise the option to purchase the house. Period. Mr. Jackson does not believe that his brother, Randy Jackson, has stolen monies from him, nor does he believe that Randy, or any of his family members, would ever steal from him. Reports regarding the same were untrue and malicious. Contrary to published reports, Mr. Jackson is neither losing, nor is he selling his share of the ATV/Sony partnership. Reports regarding the same are ludicrous, without merit, and are being written without sufficient personal financial information to make such an unwarranted pronouncement. Mr. Jackson is concerned that his assistant, Grace Rwaramba, is constantly being attacked by Fox News’ Roger Friedman. There have been vicious and untrue reports concerning Ms. Rwaramba, who lives a very private life and has done nothing wrong, but is being attacked for her professional relationship and proximity to Mr. Jackson. While in his entire career, Mr. Jackson has never uttered a disparaging word to any reporter, nor has he ever used or instructed his security to use any force toward any reporter, there are those whose vehement hatred for Mr. Jackson has reached a level where all journalistic integrity has been lost, in order to write reports for which there is no substantiation, are untrue, written to create a frenzy, or used to try and destroy Mr. Jackson’s image. They know who they are; and, this is a sad commentary…a commentary which Mr. Jackson’s attorneys will address." http://thecelebritytruth.com/michael-jacks...rs-rumors/00131

  22. John is waiting for approval from Whitney and Jackson John Legend has revealed that he's written songs for Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson's comeback albums, which he has sent to them for approval. The soulful singer says that only time will tell if the stars can reclaim the success they once enjoyed. "I have written songs for both of their albums, but that doesn't mean it will be on their albums," he explains. "They can choose whether or not they want to use it. They haven't recorded yet so we'll see." John is sceptical about the fallen stars' future, saying: "Only time will tell. It's possible for either of them to come back but it really depends on the records they come out with. The public is very forgiving when somebody has a hit. "The people will be waiting. If they make music that people are excited about, then I think they can come back easily. But there's more to it than just making music. Once you get out of the groove, I think it's probably hard to put everything back in motion in the way it used to be." He adds: "It's not just about the record. You have to be willing to do all the things it takes to market it such as touring. But if they're up for it, then I think they're in a position where people want to see what they can do. They can do it." http://musicnews.virginmedia.com/news/?news_id=20651
