I enjoyed that. It was nice to see Roy Cropper's future girlfriend with a smile on her face.

So soon? :o Is he really Jeff from Dubai?

I thought the whole Gandy reveal was brilliant. I love David though 'Haven't you told him yet?' (re Gavin popping his clogs). I've hated this storyline because its been so dragged out and tedious - but the reveal was well worth waiting for - I don't know how all concerned did it with a straight face!

I thought tonight's episode was really good. Leanne gets on my nerves though! I know the actress is really good - and her tears are really convincing - but the character is so annoying! What did she mean when she said Carla was to blame for her losing someone else she loved? I know Carla was driving the car that ran over Stella - but she didn't die? Unless she means Carla's affair with Peter? But to be honest - Leanne is hardly a saint! I really liked Zedan tonight too!

I have to agree! It was a shame as the action/fire scenes were handled really well - but all that hard work and effort was let down by atrocious scripting and (from some) AWFUL acting. I liked the scene with David and Max and I liked the scenes with Jenny.

29th May - the 30th Anniversary of what appears to be a forgotten tragedy in the history of football. Please take the time to read the whole article and have a thought for the 39 innocents who lost their lives. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/...longs-hurt.html

She's one of the best characters in it (well she's one of my faves anyway).

Carla's smoke detector took long enough to beep didn't it? How scary did Jenny look in that wig?

'You look so .... Bruce Willis' ... 'I've got my vest on under here'. I love Sally and Tim - truly robbed of the Soap Award for best screen partnership.

I think Sally & Tim should have got the best soap partnership award as well. But apart from that I agree - Corrie didn't deserve anything else. I do think Natalie Anderson should have got best actress award and Emmerdale best soap. Glad the little girl from Emmerdale won (but thought the lad that plays Lachlan was excellent too).

I wish I'd watched this instead of wasting my time watching the final episode of The Enfield Haunting (which started off great and then just went awful!)
  12. This'll put a smile on your face! http://www.broadway.com/buzz/180788/findin...-choice-awards/
  13. His reasons are very commendable and I'm sure honest. I can't help but feel though, that like UK entrants in the Eurovision Song Contest - the leadership of the Labour Party is a bit of a poisoned chalice! Besides anything else - I honestly can't see Labour getting into power until at least 2025 (if at all!) The Tories are going to push through changes with impunity now that the Liberals aren't there to temper them ... the biggest thing for me is the constituency boundary changes that are ahead. I think we have to face the fact that the we are now a one-party state - so we'd best just make the most of it.

I have to admit that the second episode of this wasn't a patch on the first. Still interesting (and the last few minutes were very good) but a bit of a let-down from last week.

I don't even like Sarah Lancashire that much but she was phenomenal in Happy Valley. Still - at least the drama itself won - which is a tribute to all involved.
  16. So happy for you Pete! I know you've been wanting to see them live ever since we first started chatting here! They do put on a good show - even I have to admit that - despite what I think of their leader.

Pleased for Jason Watkins in The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies and for the drama Happy Valley. Not bothered by Corrie winning in its category - for all the weeping and a-wailing that Eastenders should have won - Emmerdale wasn't even nominated and has been miles better than both the 'biggies' anyway.

Timothy Spall is always excellent value for money. Who would have believed that of the original cast of Auf Wiedersehen Pet it would be Barry from Birmingham who would have the biggest career of them all!

This week's one should be really good. Some new faces I should imagine. Mind you - what can the do with Michael Gove when his face is just too unbelievably funny/strange looking to begin with!

After watching some of this Election thing tonight - I'd love Jeremy Paxman to front Top Gear!

I may start smoking. I've finished my bottle of wine so I'm going to look for the cooking sherry now! To be honest - it makes no difference to me who gets in. My house is paid for so all my salary (which is fairly good) only goes on energy bills, the car and food - I just feel sorry for those poor bast*rds who are on £6.50 an hour (and will be for the next five years at least) with rent to pay and kids to bring up. Still - at least IDS has the opportunity to 'SAVE' a further 2 million people from the dole in the next five years (he'll kill most of them on the way mind but hey-ho!)

I have to get up at about 6.30 for work tomorrow so there's no way I'm staying up even to watch the early results. Just hoping that I wake up tomorrow to the news that UKIP has disappeared up Farage's badge and hopefully the Tories don't have a majority.
  23. I think you'll find that my 'Gary Barlow is a gobshite' comment was incidental to a rather complimentary post. I've checked through ALL my comments in this particular thread and there is only that one post that says what a gobshite he is! All the others are comments on what good live shows take that do (or did). Besides - how come it has taken you this long to join in the TT page on BJ? At one point there was only me and Pete in here! My chats with Pete go on LONG LONG before you joined - so don't tell me not to come in here! I do have sympathy for you too Milly - for totally different reasons! :)
  24. Why have you brought my name into your snoozefest Milly? My last post in here was a pleasant post to congratulate Pete (to whom I've been chatting to on here for almost TEN YEARS - way, way before you came along - and when I was a fan!) because he's going to be watching them for the first time (admittedly he's missing out on Jason). I don't know what you've got your knickers in a twist for really!

I'm loving Newzoids the more I see it. Loved Mrs Crown's 'Hello Sponger' to baby Charlene! (sorry lotte)
