Finding Neverland musical
Don't know what you're all getting your knickers in a twist over! Its done brilliantly in advance sales - and I'm sure Gary (and Harvey) are more impressed with the greenbacks than bothered by what the critics say. http://www.thespec.com/whatson-story/55651...-advance-sales/

Finding Neverland musical
I did find the comment from vinceprince quite amusing though. 'I'm writing a musical about Noah and the Ark. Never Findingland' Whoever said that bad reviews make good box-office was right though. The Wiz was panned and ran for several years.

Newzoids
Must admit - I found this a bit disconcerting! I do think its coming in for some unfair comparisons with Spitting Image (which itself was panned on its first series). Its horses for courses and this is the Spitting Image of our times - and its at least as good/bad as that was seen.

Newzoids
I thought that was mildly diverting. More enjoyable than I thought it would be. Needless to say I liked the Barlow one the best!

'The Walking Dead' | Season 5
What did you reckon to the expressions on the faces of Rick and Morgan when they saw each other? I read it as Morgan was horrified at what Rick had done and Rick didn't look as pleased to see Morgan as he would have been (say) two series ago?

'The Walking Dead' | Season 5
I think either Daryl or Glen will go very, very soon. Norman Reedus has SO much going on at the moment - I don't know how he can reasonably fit it all in. Even though the actor genuinely LOVES being in TWD - anyone is at the mercy of the writers.

'The Walking Dead' | Season 5
Not sure what to think of Rick now. He's morphed into Shane without even realising it. I mean - Jesse's husband 'has to be killed' - WTF! This is the guy who moved heaven and earth to keep Randal alive! I've an awful feeling about Daryl going out there alone with the 'Go-Outdoors' chap! I don't trust him.

Coronation Street
I'm usually Corrie's biggest supporter but I'm totally over it at the moment. Its tried my patience for far too long! Its rubbish! Physically good casting for Bethany - she really does look like Sara-Lou!

Jeremy Clarkson sacked by the BBC
I think we are all forgetting that Clarkson is a very privileged, ex-public schoolboy who is used to people running around for him. I wouldn't be surprised if at home he has some little minion who wipes his arse for him every time he goes to the john. He believes his privilege puts him above everyone else and according to that petition - over a million people and the prime minister (well being an ex-public schoolboy he believes in fagging as well) agree! I don't know whether its merely disappointing or as a pointer to what the world is becoming - very frightening. Kudos to Jonathon Ross (who I normally have no time for at all) who appears to be the only celebrity who has publicly spoken out that what Clarkson did was totally unacceptable. Every other celebrity seems to be at his beck and call. Maybe I missed something - but did Clarkson become God overnight? I just feel so sorry for this young producer who will probably be the only one in this matter who WON'T find a future job in the profession he loves.

Emmerdale
And again - another excellent episode of Emmerdale. All concerned in this Alicia / Lachlan SL have done brilliantly. I think the young lad that plays Lachlan is a real talent.

The arrogance of the man knows no bounds. Mind you - I don't know who is worse - Clarkson or the two little jelly-fish weasels who present the show with him.

Jeremy Clarkson sacked by the BBC
Clarkson's a dick. He's using this to his advantage. The comments weren't comparing him to Savile - but comparing the apparent support Clarkson seems to be getting (even from the Prime Minister no less) to the support Savile got (and the unwillingness of ANYONE in any position of power to speak out about Savile). This has turned out nicely for Clarkson though - it has turned HIM into the victim in this instead of the poor bast*rd he hit. Not only does Clarkson not get reprimanded or punished - he actually gets REWARDED for bullying and physically assaulting a person in the workplace. I think I'll go into work tomorrow and lamp one of my colleagues merely because they used the microwave when I wanted to use it for my hot meal. Its a funny old world.

'The Walking Dead' | Season 5
I could have done without the explicit gore - after all - you can pretty much imagine what it would be like to be eaten alive by rotten corpses (or maybe not). It was the intrigue I was enjoying. Gabriel should be shot in the ankles then thrown to a couple of church-going zombies! Abraham was fab and even Eugene did his bit (I have a soft spot for Eugene actually - he's cute in a weird sort of way).

New Album 'III', lead single 'These Days'
I wasn't particularly offended Milly (I've had comments thrown at me here from some far wittier posters than yourself and just take them in my stride - as do the people I throw them back at) and I regret using the 'angry face' icon - I wasn't particularly angry - more a trifle 'amused' that you honestly appear to believe that anyone who doesn't like Barlow must be 'weird'. As Cat said in their post - it must have been an attempt on your part as a 'joke' I hope it was - as I worry for you if you truly meant it! And you see - you've called me weird again in this post! Am I offended? No! I've been heckled by geniuses so silly people are no problem at all. I hope you don't mind me calling you silly - as you keep calling me weird!

New Album 'III', lead single 'These Days'
I doubt it. When asked at the time 'are you backing Mr Cameron' I believe Gary said 'absolutely'. The only time he had any time for anything Labour was when Gordon Brown matched the amount made by the Kilimanjaro Jolly they did (this is the one that Gary spent £50K to bring his pals back on a private jet for the last leg home - despite the fact that that money could have bought another 10,000 mosquito nets (I'd have been far more impressed with that) of course Barlow chose to 'flash the cash' and impress his 'friends' (who up until 2006 and the 'comeback' wouldn't have been seen dead in the same room as him.) He's an egotistical self-serving big-head and I'm just sorry I didn't see it sooner. And about that music venture (at a school that was there thanks to the Labour led 'Building For Schools' initiative (which the Tories then abolished - as they will with the NHS) - whatever became of it? I agree! I object to me and my husband being labelled 'weird' because we don't fall at the feet of the God Barlow! :P

New Album 'III', lead single 'These Days'
Well my husband is a man - he's always disliked Take That (in fact - he hates ALL celebrities) he particularly took a further dislike to him regarding his mean money affairs! I'm a woman, I used to like him (or rather I felt sorry for him in the 'wilderness years') then was happy for him (all of them) with their triumphant return - also the music (with BW and TC at least) was pretty impressive. I went totally off Barlow when he was the Tory poster boy (yes - given his back ground from Frodsham - I assumed he was a tory - and that's great - I have loads of friends who vote for varying political parties) but to go out on the campaign trail with someone who wants to dismantle the health service and take away from the most vulnerable people in society - and THEN to go on some sort of self-promoting God-status with hypocritical charity work (he'd actually started before though - which raised suspicions). Frankly - I think all YOU people who think the sun shines out of Gary Barlow's arse are the truly weird ones!

'The Walking Dead' | Season 5
I'm really starting to enjoy TWD again! About bloody time. I really like it when there is some semblance of 'normalcy' (as weird as it seems to be with Alexandria). Poor horse though!

New Album 'III', lead single 'These Days'
I think it may have vague echoes of that first split - but the difference now is Gary appreciates Take That - or at least knows that he needs to be seen to appreciate Take That. This is unlike 1998/9 - when in a later interview (I think with either GQ or Q) he believed that Take That was just a sort of stepping stone and when he left he was going on to 'greater things'. He was rapidly brought down several pegs by his total failure in the States (or for that matter as a solo artist anywhere) and that's why I think he needs to hold on to Take That as a sort of insurance policy. In reality though - now that he has been omnipresent over the last few years and the press keep insisting he is a 'national treasure' he probably DOESN'T need the others now.

New Album 'III', lead single 'These Days'
Don't underestimate the public - we all know that most of them in celebrity-land are on one tax dodge or another. We know that Gary Barlow isn't the only one who avoids paying his taxes.

Jeremy Clarkson sacked by the BBC
This is fantastic publicity for Top Gear! When they do eventually show the shows - watch the audience leap by perhaps another million. Everything on TV these days is done for a purpose. As for Clarkson - he thrives on people talking about him - he's a bit like Katie Hopkins really - just not (quite) as scary to look at (and obviously a lot richer). My son used to love Top Gear - he's only interested in the cars, old and new, he doesn't really care who presents the show - and he thinks Clarkson is an arsehole!

New Album 'III', lead single 'These Days'
I think that's correct, it wasn't an official single release. It also didn't have huge platform like The Brits. I'm surprised the latest single hasn't charted somewhere - I imagined merely on the strength of it being Take That alone it would be somewhere within the 75 by now! Its not a great song but its million times better than I'd Wait For Life - which got an undeservedly high placing of 17 for such a drab (and vain) effort. BTW - HUAL is one of my favourite songs from The Circus (it, like Shine, was a grower with me - and only really caught me when I saw and heard them sing it live) Mark had such passion in his voice for such an 'ickle fella!
-
New Album 'III', lead single 'These Days'
When people first heard Shine they thought it was awful (I did when they performed it on 'An Audience With' but it was a grower and it brought Take That a lot of new fans - people I know who didn't even know it was Take That - one of the reasons was because they didn't think it was Take That - they wouldn't have been seen dead listening to anything that a boyband had anything to do with previously). Your line 'pleasing a few hundreds of Mark's fans' just proves that there are two types of fans of the group - Gary fans and Take That fans - I assume Milly that you are just a Gary fan and put up with the others out of sufferance.

Coronation Street
Sally to the rescue there as well! Googling Anna Karenina while she went to the bog! Sally was the best bit of the show tonight (to be fair - all the scenes involving the hen party were great). I don't think Gail is a terribly convincing drunk - but it was funny the way she revealed Callum's 'job' to Owen and the rest. And on the point of Callum - the guy really does have a believably threatening (whilst attractive at the same time) face! The Roy SL is ridiculous!

Emmerdale
I've missed several episodes and am catching a load up all at once. Emmerdale is bloody brilliant at the moment - especially this Alicia / Lachlan SL. Its just so sad that Emmerdale gets overlooked when it comes to awards when up against the two big (but as far as I'm concerned - far inferior) soaps.
