  1. I'm so glad I decided to watch this definitely understated and yet immensely engrossing drama. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3429354/ Surprised there wasn't a thread on here already. The appearance of Steve Coogan at the end was an absolute delight - and yet it didn't detract from the drama itself - or from the brilliant performance from Jason Watkins.

I liked the third Jurassic Park film I thought it was a huge improvement on the (to me) hugely disappointing second film. I think I liked the fact that all of the guys in it were just ordinary people with ordinary jobs finding themselves in extraordinary circumstances. I must have a thing for 'third' films as Alien 3 was my favourite of that franchise! :) Back on topic - I am SO looking forward to Jurassic World!

I just don't find it funny.
  4. I found her totally vacuous and more than a bit boring. I just don't get the hype about her I suppose. I think Craig was a loss and I would have been behind him all the way to win had he still been in it. Gemma though - no - she's been the very, very worst of any of the Towie/Chelsea lot who have been in (I actually thoroughly enjoyed Joey, Mark and Hugo from previous series). I think Edwina (despite what I think of her personally) was a real bonus to replace her with.
  5. If I'm honest - I wouldn't have minded either of those two - I think the right two made it to the final. Note! The three finalists were all northerners. Nay! The final four were all northerners!
  6. You know what though - a lot of people said this was the worst of the series - but I really liked it. It was 100% better than last year's. I actually enjoyed it - and thought, on the whole, (apart from the awful Gemma Collins) that they were all nice people. Even Edwina was entertaining in there (and I truly dislike the woman otherwise). They all did well. The trials though WERE much easier than previous years.
  7. And how do you account for the 80% of airtime that was devoted to Jake all the way through? The right person won. This guy should have won Sports Personality of the Year several times but was passed over for some over-paid, more highly noted (piss-easy) sport!
  8. Good! Fairly happy with that result. I don't think Mel will have been as bad as the edit throughout made her look (else - I don't think Tinchy - who's opinion I respect - would have said he wanted her to win) but going on that last trial - she definitely had the easy pick of the trials. As much as I'm not fond of Jake (I find him boring and a bit of a fake) I'm not too displeased with Foggy being just the runner-up. He had the worst trial so he's a winner with me anyway.
  9. Well it makes up for all the airtime that Jake has had (and I'm not talking about during any trials - but with his inane, boring, childish chatter). I don't think Carl will win - but he definitely deserves to. If there is any justice though - he will be runner-up and Mel will be out next - her last trial was easy-peasy lemon-squeezy!
  10. Well high fives Mel for having the easiest trial of the whole series!
  11. There is no way on god's green earth I'd go anywhere near that. I'd have had the pizza and said 'sod it - I'm out of here tonight anyway'!
  12. I knew Carl would get the frigging eating task - the most horrible of the lot! This is why I admired Kendra so much - I didn't think she'd do it but she did. If I was in there - this is the only trial that I'd wimp out on - no way would I eat any of that shit!
  13. I don't know how people can say Carl Fogarty is arrogant. I find Jake the most arrogant of the lot - every time he talks there seems to be a smirk - it reeks of false modesty. AND he hasn't been given an eating task - I was sure he should have got one tonight as Foggy and Mel have already done them.
  14. Now you see this is why I prefer someone like Kendra over someone as horrid as Edwina. Although I can appreciate that she has been funny at times in there - she knows reality shows having been on a few herself already - she is anything BUT being herself. I can't separate the awful things she's said and done from how she is in the jungle right now. This is the woman who said about businessmen going abroad 'if you want to avoid AIDS - take your wife'. Great Edwina - a real champion of women's rights. She also thinks food-banks are unnecessary as they put do damage to businesses - because people don't really need them. Kudos to her for not being afraid of anything - but having been in the company of Thatcher for years - who would honestly be afraid of a few rats and cockroaches. I'm not too fond of Mel in there but I wish she'd have clocked the insidious Edna (as Foggy thinks she's called) ages ago!
  15. Well as the program makers seem to be pimping him on this year's IAC - I'm guessing there is already a series on ITV2 with his name written all over it Sammy.
  16. I can't believe people are falling for it! I'll admit - on the surface of it she has provided some chuckle moments (the fart was rather splendid) but I find her very, very two-faced. In the outside world I doubt she'd piss on her camp-mates if they were on fire ... unless she got paid for it.
  17. ... in fact - I'd rather Mel and Jake/Edwina had gone tonight instead of Tinchy and Kendra (who I also quite liked).
  18. I'd rather Tinchy had stayed for another day. He added something to IAC that hasn't been added for a long time - someone sensible, quietly funny (he was brilliant in the Vile Vineyard trial) not one bit two-faced at all. In fact - a really nice fella! Sometimes they are welcome you know!
  19. Yay! Foggy makes it through to that watery/slidey/chutey thingy! That's what I'd hoped for!
  20. Jake getting lots of airtime tonight. I wonder what little program ITV have lined up for him in the coming months after he's won this one!

The stand-out stars at the moment (and have been for a long time now) are Tim and Sally! I think I've said it before - but Tim brings out the best in Kev too! Kev was never this interesting first time around!
  22. That was hilarious! I've loved that Dingo Dollars challenge he did tonight with Jake too (I think Jake and Foggy make a good team). I think I prefer the Dingo Dollars challenges more than the trials.

Tim and Sally are magic! I also find that Kevin is more interesting now with Tim on the scene. I think I'm actually a little bit in love with Tim!
  24. I'm glad that I was one of those people who NEVER liked or trusted or believed a word that was said by Vince Cable.
  25. Agree with this totally. A really lovely girl but just a bit boring. I DO think she was given enough air-time but she just didn't make the most of it.
