  1. The Hateful Eight for me
  2. My brother-in-law is retired but he voted remain for the sake of his grown up children and his grandchildren. Whilst I'm not retired yet (and it looks like unless I die I'll have to work into my 90's to survive) I voted remain as did my OH who was retired at the time. A lot of those older retirees - will have had children and grandchildren - but it will still have been a case of 'I'm alright Jack'!. Having said that - I don't think the public (on both sides of the divide) were fully informed. I think those of us who voted remain did so out of a sort of sixth-sense for want of a better expression - that to leave would be disastrous! David Cameron should eternally be looked upon as an absolute traitor for bringing the country to the place its in right now - but what does he care? As Danny Dyer said - he's off sunning his trotters 'Tw*t!' The press as well are largely to blame by over the years whittling on about the monster of the EU - and how its taken away our liberties - instead of focusing on (even occasionally) on the good that the EU does. I despair I really do - and I feel so sorry for the young of this country.
  3. Gormless Gove will be prattling out whatever Boris has told him to say. Just as the Brexiters blamed the EU for austerity - now they'll be blamed for the 'no deal' that awaits us. I wish I had an exit plan that involved breathing! At 60 though my only exit plan is death which to be perfectly honest is preferable to being surrounded by a bunch of no-marks shouting 'Leave means Leave'. I hear that just as The Donald still has plans for his wall - Mini-Donald has plans to build a 300 foot fan to rest on the white cliffs of Dover for when the shit hits! We're doomed! Doomed I tell ya!

    Frigging hell! We're doomed!
  5. Oh just go and boil your head you annoying w*n**r!
  6. Thanks Silas. In December 2017 he'd been diagnosed with cancer of the stomach but it had spread to the spine and bones. He was told in the January 2018 that without treatment he'd be dead in three months and with chemotherapy he could perhaps get a further six months. Then - they suggested clinical trials - which we took and wished we hadn't. In short - when he was discharged from hospital (The Christie) after a particularly bad period (he hadn't eaten anything solid since November '17) he was given a 'non-urgent' discharge and the only pain relief - paracetamol! He was in agony for five days and on oxygen 24/7 as he also had COPD. Despite all the agencies being aware of him (MacMillan can go and stuff their cake days up their arse!!!) he died five days after discharge. Our last five days together were totally wasted - in addition to the paracetamol - they'd discharged him with a load of other medication which was the equivalent of sticking a band-aid on someone whose arm had been chopped off! Sorry for the rant - but Chris's posts truly piss me off! I truly believe that anyone over 60 should NOT have been allowed to vote in the Brexit fiasco (even though I know there were some sensible oldies - like my mum (who sadly passed away this year) even in her late 80's she knew that voting to remain was the best thing to do for future generations (unlike some selfish bast*rds!). Again - sorry for the rant. I'll tell you what though - if the union breaks up - I'm going to send a begging letter to Nicola Sturgeon to ask if I can be granted asylum in Scotland!
  7. Where have you emigrated to? Sorry - I've been away from BJ for a long time and have only come back sporadically - so if you have posted it already - I'd have missed it!
  8. Fantastic post! Totally wasted on Chris of course - but I really enjoyed it!
  9. Maybe you should show a bit more empathy towards people in the same boat as you then - instead of glorifying and singing the praises of the likes of Johnson, Patel, Raab and all the other Conservative Shitgibbons who are going to be running the country then!
  10. He's not thick - he just enjoys trolling. Its not like he has anything better to do with his time - like get a job perhaps like the rest of us!
  11. You see Chris - this is where we differ! I'm willing to go out and do my bit instead of just sitting on a fat arse and putting an 'x' next to the box that says 'take control and we can have bendy bananas and eat our fish and chips out of a filthy newspaper! Can I ask you Chris - how many 'pro-Brexit' marches have you ever been bothered to go on?
  12. So hoping to be able to go on this one. https://www.london4europe.co.uk/let_us_be_h...le_s_vote_march I'm on Jury duty the two weeks leading up to it though - so hoping that whatever trial I get to be on (if I get to be on one - someone told me even if you are called for Jury duty - you may end up just waiting around to eventually not be needed!) will be over! May go down with the Liverpool group (or even the Lancashire/Yorkshire group - just think - nothing could unite the red rose and the white rose until Brexit came along!!!)

It was a rhetorical question Chris - because once Brexit arrives deal or no deal - the NHS will be gone. Not only will it be on the table in any deal with the US - it'll be the bloody centre-piece!

On a side note Chris - when you've got a moment can you let me know the name of the Private Health insurer you are with (do you think it is good value for money, would you recommend them?) Cheers!
  15. Did anyone on BJ go to the Pro-Europea march in London last Saturday? I did (with the Liverpool for Europe group) and had a fantastic time. Would be good to know that some others from BJ were there. Met with some great people including a brilliant bloke from the Banbury for Europe group. The Dorset bunch were particularly vocal. Billy Bragg was an unexpected bonus as well.

Chris I suffer from depression. My OH died in April 2018 (horribly) but I was back at work full-time in July the same year! I find a way to work whilst on medication (medication which I hope to come off in time). Boris is a great advocate of work being good for ones mental health - he may introduce measures that make even you find yourself back in the work-place. Who knows - You may find it helps and you may even enjoy it! But ... as I said earlier - I know you're just trolling! You are funny at times - wearing but funny nonetheless!

As far as this government is concerned - you're unemployed - no ifs, no buts, no excuses. And its about to get a lot worse for unemployed people (for all of us for that matter - unless we've got a few million quid squirreled away!)

You do realise that Smogg calls people like you 'plant pots' don't you? He is clever though - he'll think of ways to get people like you off the dole and into the work-place! You should be pleased - oh wait - you are! I don't know why people answer your trolling posts - but then again - I just have!

Just watched the trailer - can't wait for this it looks like a real tongue-in-cheek horror! Plus it has Conrad from Revenge in it!
  23. It isn't - he's a troll! Don't feed him!
  24. Gove can't possibly win as he looks like Mr Bean's younger, less intelligent brother! Boris is a serial liar and cheat - he'll go far!

I disagree - I've found the Carla SL a bit boring - and I hate that its turned one of my favourite characters (Peter) into a simpering wimp! I do admit - Alison King is doing a good job - I just find the SL boring. The only constant in the whole series for me is David - Jack is the best actor in soapland. And I loved the way he (I'll put this in spoilers)
