From what I've seen she's a bit of a two-faced witch. I never watched Benefits Street so couldn't form an opinion of her from that - I just don't like her behaviour in the house. Immediately someone doesn't have a big beaming smile on their face - she follows them around giving them a hug - whether its wanted or not! I don't like George either (another waste of space) but her reasons for choosing him were ridiculous and just made up on the spur of the moment. She voted for him because she honestly thinks she has a chance of staying in touch with some of the other (alleged) celebrities once this thing is over and as he's the only other true no-mark in there - he's dispensable in her eyes - even if he's the only person she'd have anything in common with in the real world. And I really do wish she'd have paid a visit to Debenhams and got measured for a proper bloody bra (or crane in her case) before she went in.

    I can't understand Dee's popularity.
  3. This is why I stopped watching BB (regularly) ages ago. I miss the days when the likes of Jack Dee, Les Dennis and Mark Owen took part. Heavens! I even miss Anthea Turner and Vanessa Feltz (and I DETEST Anthea Turner and Vanessa Feltz!!!!)

I never, ever got the clues for the prizes on 3-2-1/Dusty Bin! I think even a University Challenge winner would have been hard-pressed to get them!
  5. I've not been watching too much (can't stand the poison-dwarf that is Leslie) but from what I have seen I think Claire will go. Mind you - she didn't seem too bothered by Leslie's choice (why should she be worried by a shrivelled up little twonk?) Mind you - I don't buy for one moment Leslie's reasons for picking her (how arrogant to think that she's actually bothered by his choice that he should think up a piss-poor reason for picking her). He's noticed that Claire has probably been one of the few to actually listen, take notice and actually be kind to Gary - he wants to have a chance of getting rid of any friend Gary may have in there. As I say - Leslie is poison. The best bit of the show so far has been Gary getting out of the shower - that grin!!!! Frenchy and Gary are the ones (at this moment) that I'd like to win. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSB9mIPyEvE

Of Eccles 'She brought my mother a great deal of pleasure. I never did ... but Eccles did'.
  7. Its 'Little Man Complex'. He's a total shit! Having a go at Gary, making mountains out of molehills, 'this is MY pool' (Gary should have pissed in it), then apologising to Gary - hugging and making up - then stabbing him in the back as he walked away. Sleep deprivation isn't to blame - they're all getting lack of sleep due to someone's antics - he's just a nasty little shit!
  8. And Dee sounds like Rusty Lee!
  9. Leslie is an annoying little prick! What a drama queen and what a fuss over nothing!

Kat's got to be about 20 years older than him. She may have 'feelings' for him but I can't see him fancying a howling old harpy like Kat when there are so many other nice looking people on the square.

Smutty CS writers - the pause between Ken's 'you should have seen the size of its ...' and '... neck'

Regardless of what I think of Anne Kirkbride's acting abilities - she definitely makes a positive contribution to Corrie - and the character of Deirdre is brilliant.

Donna's exit from Emmerdale was one of the best soap exits of all time. Brilliantly done and more than a bit unexpected. If only Emmerdale did the ordinary, mundane stories of life half as good as it does the BIG storylines/endings then it would knock CS and EE off the face of the earth as far as soaps are concerned.

Yes - she does throw a mean pot!

In all honesty - no. I really love the actress Anne Kirkbride but I don't think she's ever really stood out as a good actress. She has had fantastic comedy moments and a great wit (even in the early days when she was the sex-pot of the street) but I've never noticed her stand out in serious moments. Of her romantic relationships - her acting with Neville Buswell (as her first husband Ray Langton) was, for me, the most believable (much more convincing than her relationships with Ken, Mike, Samir (or even Dev - but at least that was a laugh). The character of Deirdre, for me, really came to life when Blanche came on the scene (second time around) and now that the wonderful Maggie Jones is no longer with us - the writers are doing a great job with the Deirdre character in almost turning her into a Blanche for our times! I can't stand seeing (or hearing) Deirdre cry - its the most unconvincing cry ever. I much prefer her bragging about her signature dish - the stuffed marrow!

I've learnt to overlook Kate Ford's acting because I think Tracy is one of the most entertaining characters! She does have her moments and comes out with some of the funniest lines.

It has been happening very gradually but only really obvious last night. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree does it? The kid who plays Max has to be the worst child actor I've seen for a long time. Surely Corrie could have managed better than this!

Can't really be bothered by Ken's return. Am starting to be quite impressed with the character of Maddie - the actress is quite an addition. I really do think they've made a mistake in making Rob Tina's killer. If they had to do it I wish they'd make him more despicable - but everything he does makes him even more sympathetic.

I just thought CS was dreadfully boring tonight. No funny bits at all.

Not sure I can muster up much enthusiasm for series 5 now. I've been left a little disappointed as things have gone on and to be honest - I think it was a mistake killing Andrea off. She was as annoying as hell for a time - but I really miss her. Rick really is a useless leader (they'd have survived in more numbers had Shane still been around). Rick is like TWD's equivalent to Anna from Coronation Street. I also think any burgeoning relationship between Daryl and Beth is gross! Hurry Carol - come back soon!

No Michael - I'm afraid I don't watch EE (I accidentally catch bits of it now and again and it just annoys me - well certain characters do - I've also found the humour in it too heavy-handed and forced). I don't post much at all anymore - just in here now and again to comment on CS and occasionally when a thread in the Lounge gets my attention. I think I'm the oldest poster now on BJ and I have no friends of my own age to play with anymore! We're a dying breed - thankfully!

I'm loving Nick at the moment. Ben Price must be relishing the lines he's being given right now - after playing boring Nick for years!

    I agree.

But Silly-Bint Anna knew what a loose cannon Gary is and yet she still told Izzy 'in confidence' (don't they know NOTHING is in confidence) about Phelan making a pass at her. And to be honest - Anna made very much a mountain out of a molehill. There was one simple way to deal with Phelan and that was to never be in his company. Anyway - as I said before - this dilemma they're in now is a little bit of Karma for their treatment of Tim.
