Whilst I do admire Debbie Rush's acting I intensely dislike the character of Anna. She's been made into this 'mother earth' figure who is responsible for holding 'the family' together - when in fact - it was her crass stupidity that has brought them to the pitiful stage they're at now. I also disliked her for her (and Owen's) treatment of Tim when he first arrived when his only crime was to want to see his own daughter. I feel sorry for Faye living with them.

I'm just so annoyed that with the death of Tina - they had the excellent chance of getting rid of a crap actor like Craig Charles (surely they could have made some reason for him to kill Tina) and instead they're getting rid of a good actor (Baylis) and reasonably likeable character (Rob) instead.

You're right about Andrea - mind you - she's a match for Lloyd - Craig Charles is one of the worst actors in soapland! I didn't even notice Rita in tonight's episodes (was she in any?) I want to know what Davina McCall's interest is in the closing down of a library!!!! I never thought her so high-brow!

I started off disliking her - then I found her funny (obnoxious but funny) a lot of the time - then I found the act wore thin and at the end I don't think she was missed. It will be interesting to see her again. I do think though, that with Beth serving essentially the same purpose, maybe Cilla will be surplus to requirements.

For me though - it just looks like she's spent her last few quid on a pack of Nytol and waited for someone to buy her a wine and soda to wash it back with. Did no-one audition this woman? Or is she just related to one of the production staff? She just can't act!!!!! Is nepotism just as rife in TV land as it is in Local Government?

In fairness I think its one third that are crap and two thirds that make the show worthwhile. Apart from that fraction though - I want to brutally murder that third!!!!!! The 'actress' (and I use the term very, very loosely) who plays Tina's mum must surely be eligible for the TV equivalent of a Raspberry Award. I've honestly never seen an actress act this badly! You'd think she'd just lost a 20p piece down a gutter the way she's acting - rather than lost a daughter!

I thought I'd seen some bad actresses in my time on this planet - but the woman playing Tina's mother has them all beat - tenfold! Loved Deirdre saying how upset Eccles was at Tina's death! :lol:

But if they worked that into the and I really don't see Corrie - or any soap for that matter taking that one on - not now (although it was alluded to / referenced in EE with Kat and her uncle).

Totally and utterly hateful (just caught up - just watched the last two episodes now). Hope he gets what's coming to him! He makes Lorne Malvo look like a bit of a saint!

I've read that too! Terrible idea. Totally sick of seeming to take centre stage when there are far better, watchable (and likeable) characters that could be focussed on.

Glad to see Rule The World came out on top here with Never Forget runner up. Would have expected Patience and Shine to finish higher and am totally amazed that the excellent Back For Good is languishing 10 places behind the quite dreadful (compared to other TT songs) Greatest Day. Ah well!

There will be absolutely NO damage to Take That or Barlow's career. It'll do nothing to endear him/them to new fans but it won't put off the die-hards. You can see Owen simmering though! How dare Anna saying 'don't you hit my son' (the git deserved it - this was all his fault) and 'YOU'RE sleeping on the sofa' (Its Owen's house for god's sake). I'm hoping Owen kicks her out ... and then moves Gail in!!!!!

This Kath has watched Corrie since she 11!!! And that was in the 70's! :lol: I always liked Sally ... but having her paired up with Tim now is brilliant. He's even making Sophie more bearable! I can't believe how a character (who was intended only to be in it briefly) has made such an impression.

As gorgeous as Georgia is to look at - one has to admit that of late - she's made as much of an impression as a blancmange! The character is marginally preferable to Izzie. In fact - I could quite happily do with them getting rid of Anna, Gary, Izzie and Faye - even if it meant losing a character that could be made more of - Owen. I agree that Sean should go NOW! Kirk - I'm in two minds about - one minute I like him the next he drives me around the bend.

Really don't like Lorne Malvo now! Even Lester is turning into a despicable toad now too. Mind you - I love the way this show gets you on the side of the person you SHOULD be on the side of - in this case Molly and Gus. Still love the show the fish thing this week was brilliant - but felt so sorry for Stavros (I don't understand what he's done that was so wrong apart from finding a suitcase full of money). Did I miss something? Apologies too - thought I'd posted in the thread that was already here - but it looks as though I've started a new one! If a mod would merge I would be most obliged!

Only caught onto this late on but managed to catch up! Without doubt the best TV police (or any for that matter) drama series since Prime Suspect at its peak - and to be honest - it probably surpassed that as well. Sarah Lancashire was brilliant (is she ever anything else?) but the rest of the cast was equally up to the mark. James Norton excelled as Tommy Lee. Usually by the end of this kind of thing I start to feel sorry for the bad guy despite their deeds (as they're usually made out to be pathetic and vulnerable in some way) but I felt nothing but hate for Tommy Lee right up to the bloody end. It was good to see Siobhan Finnernan get away from the melodramatic soap that is Downton Abbey and get her teeth into something of substance - great to see her reunited with her Rita, Sue & Bob Too partner in crime George Costigan.

I used to detest the character but I started to like him a few months back. The actor is a bit of a hottie too!

I can never understand when someone does that! I felt sorry for her in Monday night's episode - but was actually glad Rob finished her off in tonight's episode - just for being so bloody stupid! I hope Rob gets away with it for a good while yet as I think Marc Baylis is a fantastic addition to the Corrie cast. Will be sorry to see him go when he eventually gets caught.

I'm glad its not that character has quite grown on me! I'm hoping its not but I have my fears!

Oh bloody hell! I was dreading it being but its looking like he's going to be the one! Tracy is bloody fantastic - good to see that the comic genes have passed down successfully from Blanche to Deirdre ... and now to Tracy!
