  1. Here be the info! http://www.unicef.org.uk/soccer-aid/ I hear they're thinking of bringing Gary in to man the merchandise stand!
  2. Shame on you! I did my civic duty - but I had to drive my husband to the polling station and physically march him up to the booth! He said it was a waste of time - and he's probably right. Despite joshing me that he was going to vote for Nige - he went for Labour in the council election (because the woman who was standing taught his photography night-class and he liked her) and in the Europeans - he said he'd voted for a pirate! Tell you what though - it is worrying how popular the UKIP has become. I'm just counting down the days now when the Tories decide to make an alliance with the bast*rds - they do appear to be one and the same party underneath it all! I've told my son when that day comes - to get the hell out of this country!

:o The slapper! What'll Tyrone say?
  4. Totally in agreement with you Hayzayy. Unfortunately you and I (and Iris - if Jay hadn't driven her away from this forum) will be the only ones with any scruples (and given Barlow's recent solo efforts) music taste. As you can see - if you don't bow down and touch your forelock in submission to Barlow - you'll find you're not welcome here. I only come in now and again to pee Jay off!

Did Julie not like her highlights?

I agree - I'd like it to be . Of those four I' d assume it would be which is a shame as he's the best actor in Corrie at the moment. Having said that - I'm sure he'll have no shortage of job offers when he leaves.
  7. I seriously doubt that there will be much of a detrimental effect on the sales of Take That's next album. They'll sell in much the same numbers as their last few albums did. Take That's reputation won't be damaged at all - the hard core fans will ensure that their albums sell well and concerts sell out (I don't think the fans care about Take That's reputation anyway). I am hoping though that even Barlow would not have the brass-balls to ever do any of his televised chugging again - and that is GREAT news - he'll have cut off the lucrative free publicity he gets.
  8. I'm not sure about that as I believe they are still contesting it. If he has - then fair dos - he's done the right thing. Having said that - as the four lads are supposed to be so close - you'd think that they'd have been talking to each other - and should possibly have taken heed of Jason's lead. I remember reading an interview with Gary a few years back and he harped on about how they were listening to Jason and his conscience - and that Jason had actually got them all to bank with the Co-Op (Jason still does I'm led to believe). Mind you - from that documentary a year or so back (Look Back Don't Stare) Jason did seem to be getting squeezed out. Who knows - maybe the next Take That Tour could be just three.
  9. Hey fans - watch Question Time right now - they're talking about Gary! Oh .... they've moved onto someone / something more interesting! Scottish independence, Free Schools, etc.

The ones I've bolded I agree with. The others I'm undecided - as much as I detest the Sawphie / Maddeh storyline - I actually like the character of Maddie. Dev I think needs to stay because he employs Mary as a childminder - and I think he can be quite entertaining when given scenes with certain other members of the cast. Faye I don't find nearly as annoying as at first (as someone has already pointed out) and Simon is the one child actor in any soap who I actually believe when he gets upset. Finally - Maria - she just has to stay because she's bringing out the best in the character of Todd!!!!
  11. I'm glad Jason hasn't got his hands dirty in all of this - mind you - he is very, very ethereal isn't he? He always comes across as very spiritual too (as well as drop-dead gorgeous). You're right too - his brother is in accounting/investments.
  12. Good songs don't turn bad Pippa but people's behaviour should be taken into consideration when regarding them as a person. Even though I now believe that Gary Barlow has proven himself to be a hypocritical, greedy, self-serving toady - I still appreciate that some of his songs are very, very good (his Take That ones anyway). However - I would NEVER purchase anything by him again - even if it was good. As David Cameron said about Jimmy Carr when his tax avoidance was made news 'People have worked hard, and paid good money to go to his concerts ..... etc, etc' ... can you tell me where the difference is between Carr's activities and Gary's? Jimmy Carr does heaps of charity work (he just doesn't flaunt it like Gary does his) did that let him off the hook when Cameron was laying into him? Carr was front page news from the day it happened for weeks after - Gary's activities were consigned to the middle pages of the newspapers and seems to have disappeared altogether now - swept conveniently under the carpet. I mean - I LOATHE Jim Davidson - but he's done tons, tons of work entertaining the troops - and he did it all without a television crew there to film it.
  13. I think that's the expression you used on several people who disagreed with you. I remember you being particularly disgusting with Iris here a few years back. No wonder you love Barlow so much - you're equally as disgusting. Oh a funny before I go - but I may actually come back - your ludicrousness actually has me -   Besides - if it annoys you even in the least - it makes me happy! David Cameron has been taken to hospital with a severe case of piles - sorry - false alarm - it was Gary Barlow's nose up his arse!
  14. It was a joke! I didn't expect an apology or anything from you Jay! You're too like your hero to offer one - there's a whiff of arrogance about you! I can't believe I used to be a Take That fan! I even went to one of their concerts AFTER the Cameron campaigning (mind you - it was Robbie's solo set that stole the show for me - so it was worth it). Oh and Jay - contrary to your post of 20/06/12 - I think you'll find that what Take That did was equally as bad, if not worse than what Jimmy Carr did! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/celebrityn...-avoidance.html In March 2010, they put £5.2m of their own money in a partnership called Larkdale LLP and borrowed a further £20.8m. According to the newspaper, records show Larkdale registered a loss of £25.2m in April 2010, which was “available for discretionary division among members”. The scheme was discovered by the Times investigation after a representative of specialist tax mitigation company Mulbury Hamilton marketed it.” Anyway - I'm not going to post on the matter any more - not here anyway - I find you and some other posters a trifle tiresome - you challenge nothing! I'm just glad that something has come up to embarrass Barlow and hopefully go some way to wipe that self-satisfied grin off his face!
  15. I agree with you Truly about the OBE! As you say - its tainted now anyway. BIB - I too hope that he is not seen fronting any charity events (televised ones anyway - the only kind he seems interested in) but like you - I won't hold my breath.
  16. I don't think they were talking about the X-Factor. They meant the BBC New Year concert (as well as the Radio Day they devoted to him) and possibly the Corden thing (which I had the pleasure of not watching).
  17. Its the eyes isn't it? They're too close together!
  18. It was a spoof article Bond Bug! Of course Jason isn't on minimum wage!  He may as well have been the first time around as Gary took all the royalties - but not this time!
  19. Nirvana - this may help explain why Jason wasn't involved in this scheme   (although personally I think its because he has a moral compass). http://www.holymoly.com/celebrity/news/tak...nvestigate69353 We assume that Robbie being estranged from the group for so long, handled his own tax affairs. And he probably pays his in LA, where he’s resident. We don’t know, we’re not accounticians. But what about Jason Orange? Is he so honest, kind hearted and socially conscientious that he opted to pay the full amount of tax required of his income? We’d love to think so. But we have another theory. We think Jason Orange has been on minimum wage ever since he joined the band. We doubt he even earns enough to be eligible for tax. If it weren’t for the backstage rider he’d be raiding the skip out the back of M&S for out-of-date sandwiches. “Gary… How come you live in such a big house and I’m still sharing a dorm with scary Michael at the YMCA?” “It’s me mum’s house, Jason. I’ve told you that. And take your shoes off before you come in the sitting room.” No one’s angry at the other two, of course. Howard was probably bullied into it. Barlow probably told him he couldn’t be trusted with money and that he’d look after it for him. And everyone loves Mark, no matter what he does. Even when he kept getting drunk and having sex on all those ladies that weren’t his girlfriend, we still loved little Marky. Aw, little Marky. Trying to cheat the nation out of millions of tax revenue. Aw, little Marky.
  20. I find you personally very, very offensive Jay! We may disagree in that you think Gary is God's Gift and I think he's a tw*t - but I've NEVER made a personal comment about you, or Pippa or Pete. I DEMAND an apology from you for comparing me to a (I'm assuming you wanted to use the word SH/T as you asked to fill in the blanks). I doubt I'll get an apology because you appear to be as arrogant and smug as your balding hero! And yes - this thread did attract me - in the way you all furiously make excuses for him. I just knew without even coming in here what your comments would be on the matter!
  21. He's either in a similar scheme or unlike poor Gary - he has 'good' advisers.
  22. Well every penny counts when there's a tax bill to pay!
  23. That old chestnut again!  Jason Orange and Robbie Williams seemed to know that it was a scheme to steer clear of.

It gets better and better! I loved Lester punching the cop in order to get a ride to the station. What bad luck though - to end up in the same cell as Numbers and Wrench?
