The Graham Norton Show
If anyone missed tonight's show - try and watch when its repeated. This was the funniest episode of any chat show EVER. Matt Damon, Bill Murray, Hugh Bonneville and Paloma Faith made for a terrific show.

Coronation Street
Absolutely love the Breaking Bad references in Corrie tonight! And from Emily of all people.

OPINION POLLS: Labour maintain lead
As somebody pointed out on another site - Cameron only got his wellies on when the waters started to lap the playing fields of Eton. Now that Eric Pickles (just seen him now and this man truly does make me feel quite ill) has said that we are suddenly a rich country - that the government will pay to put the roof back on my house tonight after it blows off! Of course not - our house is north of Watford.

Coronation Street
Fiz is getting on my tit! Its not a pissing contest Fiz!

Midsomer Murders - The 100th episode!!
I'm sure I'm not alone in favouring the episodes with the weirdest murders. Two of them involved wine! One where the guy is pinned out onto his lawn with croquet hooks and has bottles of his favourite vintages fired at him and one where a TV set is jigged up to a sort of diver's outfit and a guy is 'drowned' in it (these murders may both actually be from the same episode). Mind you - the one the week before last was particularly gruesome - involving a guy being eaten alive by a wild boar!

Coronation Street
Thank goodness! Eccles can now be taken out for a proper walk!

Midsomer Murders - The 100th episode!!
You're not alone! I still love the show. I wasn't so keen on the most recent episode (the flying school one) but the week before it was right up there with the best of the John Nettles ones. I do love Neil Dudgeon and I think the new sidekick - Nelson - is brilliant! He seems to be a bit more 'with it' than previous side-kicks - and I like the relationship between him and the pathologist. And Sykes is just brilliant!

I'll be out of my job at the end of the month - and I must admit - I actually fancy working at our local Dominoes! I think my age would go against me though - they're all lively young things working there!

I don't believe all this 'high-powered' stuff for a minute! I think you actually work the night-shift at Dominoes! The reason you've not been able to meet your 'CV deadline' is because you've been taken by surprise by an unusually high order for stuffed-crust pizzas!

Excuses, excuses. You've gone past a deadline which you set yourself. No matter how great your CV is ... you're fired! Procrastination is the thief of time!!!

This is so true. In my job I get lots of letters and emails from Solicitors and such - and their communications are just ridiculously bad. They're littered with bad spelling and bad grammar - it obviously hasn't held them back from earning a hell of a lot more than me though (I'm just a humble secretary - what would I know?) On the plus side - if I was up against them in a TV quiz - I'd wipe the floor with them - they'd never get past question number 1. I'd rather have the high salary though - whatever it takes! Back to Gove and what I heard on the news this morning - nursery and pre-school places for as young as two or even one! I don't know why he doesn't go the whole hog and suggest all children be taken off their mothers at birth - put into dormitories along with hundreds of other babes and be brought up en-masse with one single thought in mind. Actually - I'm not sure if I read of something similar in a history lesson or whether I'm thinking of a Star Trek TNG Borg episode!

Coronation Street
In fairness - all the soaps contain heaps of suspensions of reality. They're all guilty of the same crimes. Corrie makes no more than the others. Back to the point - yes. I think this should have been a two-hander - with perhaps a cutaway only to Anna - sat downstairs in the café knowing what was going on upstairs. It certainly didn't need any other characters.

Outnumbered
I do love this show but from a one-off I saw recently (not sure if it was a Christmas special or something) the only one out of the kids who was still funny was Ben (he is the one with the curly hair isn't he?) I used to love Karen when she was little - but I'm not sure all those things she used to come out with would be as funny now that she's quite a bit older. I'll stick with it because I do love anything Samantha Bond is in (hopefully she keeps making appearances) and besides - in episode 5 of this series - Harry Shearer from The Simpsons is due to make a special appearance (albeit via a video-link).

Coronation Street
I was annoyed by that! I thought it especially annoying as Anna had no right to use her key to let herself in to their private quarters (especially as I'm sure she'd guessed what was happening). Lovely episode, truly well done both David and Julie were excellent - I have a feeling they'll miss out at the NTA as they're both nominated in the same category.

Oscars | Nominations
I was hoping that Daniel Bruhl would get a nomination for Rush.

I've not seen The Truman Show the whole way through (although I was very impressed with what I did see). I've never even heard of the other film.

What did Howard do while Gary was writing the song though? I hope he made Gary his tea the way he likes it!

What are you watching/recommending?
A few films I've seen recently that have been great (or rather - I truly enjoyed them and gave them all between 8 - 10 on IMDb): Rush (thought I'd hate this film but was truly engrossed) Fruitvale Station (heartbreaking) The Mist Two to avoid - Cockneys Vs Zombies RIPD

I do have provisos on the music front though - if I like ALL the songs (or the film has a truly great script) I will make an exception. I only have two so far - The Sound of Music and Singing in the Rain.
