WHY is there not an Xtina forum but Zara f***ing Larsson has her own? That is homophobia, girls.
  2. If I Were A Boy is gross

    1. Halcyon Days - Would probably be my #1 for Halycon alone (such a beautiful, emotionally intense record) but Days added bangers and cemented it as a proper classic. 2. Delirium - One of the best pop albums of the decade, 15 killer tracks and 1 filler. 3. Lights - Title track aside, it's not really for me
  4. Excited for this. Hopefully the collab aspect works as well as it did for Close to Me. After Sixteen's slight underperformance she really needs something undeniable with this.
  5. Last Friday Night is high-key the best song from Teenage Dream so I'm sad it missed the top 10. I don't think I ever want to see the video again though. Wide Awake is shit.
  6. If We Ever Meet Again is total crap. This rate is honestly trés homophobic.
  7. Number One Fan is so good. I liked it immediately but at first I was slightly shook by how lightweight it is (sonicially at least) compared to almost everything from About U. But actually I think it's a f***ing brilliantly constructed song, the production goes hard, that chorus is a total rush of euphoria.... and Katie is still at it with her random ass pronunciations. "Loik big loik stan loik." What a comeback.
  8. Ellie is entering can do no wrong territory for me (she may have been there for some time actually) so I'm sure I'll love this.
  9. Birthday below f***ing Starstrukk? Thinking of You not top 20 when it should be top 10? Bon Appetit not winning the whole shebang?!? Cancel everything.

Comfortably one of the best videos of the year. For one of the best songs of the year. Tove really is that bitch.

Actually excited. I like Sam a lot since Promises and DWAS. That BRITS performance was... memorable.

She was away too long. Her hype is dead and even critics like Pitchfork aren't giving her any coverage despite the fact that she should be a critical darling. It's not quite BKLYNLDN but religion is excellent too. Very Janet.
  13. The album is just lovely but Maybe You're The Reason and We Talk All The Time are the easy standouts. Gorgeous sounds.

Omg. https://open.spotify.com/album/3jhqwRMyt1ce...xT1O4M6As5c0QCQ This isn't love, this is an emergency. What a song. One of the best of the year already. The outro... "wooh!"
  15. Thoroughly well deserved for a legit superb pop song.

Utterly superb new pop album released this weekend, full of brilliant lyrics and hooks that cannot be dislodged from the brain. Some of it is super shiny and upbeat, some a bit darker, a couple of tracks more melancholy, but basically all amazing. xvvKKTCRm58 EwFEblWOPaQ Pretty, Terrified and Have You are my trinity right now. A very easy album to full in love with. https://open.spotify.com/album/6b2KfLOzzs3n...2RpSRt_MJEiJ6bg
  17. Oh my god, I hate you so much rn. I've seen a lot of clips from the show and she really seems to be serving vocals and mostly singing live. I'm hating hard on myself for not getting tickets teebs. Hopefully the inclusion of The Distance means it's gonna be pushed as a single soon.
  18. This album is some serious hot shit and is gonna be getting a lot of spins from me. A super-solid entry into her vast repertoire. Giving Me Life, One Mo' Gen and 8th Grade is such a killer one-two-three punch. All 10s. What's surprising about the album to me is how she's using her lower register so much (such rich, silky vocals throughout) and how it's darker and more downbeat in sound. It's very fresh for her, it all sounds very focused. She really delivered, I'm thrilled. With You is also low-key one of my major Mimi faves of this decade now.
  19. This is... not a good album. At all. Strip is absolute trash. More Than Words is an overproduced mess looking desperately for a melody that never comes. I don't know how they're still making tracks like Think About Us at this point in their career. Forget You Not is decent, as in halfway great but slightly lacking in production terms. There's a general air of cheapness across the whole thing really. I know their budget doesn't stretch to A-list producers or songwriters but Rita Ora keeps getting tracks that sound expensive. The Cure is by far and away the best track here and surely has to be the second single. On balance I'm not disappointed because they haven't made a great album since Salute but this is not the tea.
  20. I'm hoping it'll be Mama to get Ellie a nice big smasha. Reet only has to wake up in the morning to score another hit.
  21. The Calvin songs were clearly never meant to get a push / just got thrown out to keep growing her profile so I don't think it's odd that they're moving on already. Stoked for this. Her potential rise to superstardom is quite exciting.

Thursday is really great. That last minute is huge. I'll Be There and in particular All I Am were excellent too. She's on a roll. I like Jess a lot - she's not a personality artiste, and her music doesn't push the boundaries, but the songwriting is strong and she delivers time after time. Sometimes pop needs a reliable soldier like her.
  23. Great video. Great song. So good to have her back.
  24. And yet much less iconic, talented or relevant.
  25. YASSS at the success of We Belong Together and, randomly, #Beautiful. Shame Dreamlover did so much worse than Fantasy when it's really the prototypical (and slightly more incredible) version of that song.
