Oh and may I add - BEYOND EXCITED FOR THIS NOW PLEASE!!! Even moreso than with E=MC2 to be honest... Even though we haven't waited that long for this album, it seems like FOREVER. I think it's because as soon as the E=MC2 started it was over because after the 1 promo date for Bye Bye the project was over aside from her one-off on The X-Factor. So it was like a mini album more than anything. Cannot WAIT! :D

Well apparently the cut-off date for Grammy nominations is the 31st of August and Mariah wants the album released before then because she thinks the album really deserves it's rightful shot at The Grammy's. :o Mid-August maybe? :D :o
  3. In fairness Kath, as the moderator of this forum Ethereal is well within his right to do as he wishes with any thread he wishes without consulting anybody... You've resolved it and all so i'm not trying to reignite anything, just making a point. :P

Moved! :magic: Feel free to merge / whatever.

Do you think this little BEAUTY would go? :P Other artists have been saved from the axe because of upcoming projects and Mariah is no exception. ^_^ MAJORLY EXCITED. Although... I'm going to San Francisco on Friday morning and will be in the US at the time. I better find somewhere to hear it or there will be trouble. :arrr:
  6. I think Eminem, Green Day, The Black Eyed Peas and a few others would disagree with you thus far. And the likes of Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston and a few others would disagree with you for the rest of the year. :P I'm quite surprised how slowly the album has sold, i'm quite impartial really - i'm a Kelly fan, but not a loon and can therefore see it for what it is. The album is a really, really good pop album, with many strong solid single choices. I always knew IDNHU was a bad single choice, it's the most generic pop rock song I believe I have ever heard, and leading on from a (far superior, mind you) generic pop rock song it was never going to do as well. I think My December really damaged her reputation but she's definitely regaining that this time, people are unsure after the bomb of My December as to the quality of this album, and i'm sure future singles will ensure a lot more sales. I think it'll end up on 3m / 3.5m WW. With the right single choices (Already Gone, Save You, Cry, Don't Let Me Stop You - I think anything other than the previous 4 would be a mistake to be honest) it can be quite a successful project. The whole credit crunch thing is RI-DIC-ULOUS. As Joao said, if it's affecting Kelly it would be affecting everyone and it certainly is not. If the album was done now I would call it a flop to be frank, but thankfully it's far from over. IDNHU isn't even over yet. We've got at least another 2, potentially 3 more singles from this album to rectify the mistake. Chill out people, plenty of time to worry about it, plus a tour. :P
  7. That video must have cost all of about £7.50, a fiver to hire the camera, £2 dress from Oxfam and a 50p smoke machine. Terrible.
  8. I'm going on Thursday. :kink:

She can definitely be successful. However, her Tweets annoy me somewhat. Her typing seems to be quite American-ised "SHOPPING WIT MA MOMMA" etc, plus it's all "THIS SONG IS SO HOT", "SO BUSY WITH MY HOT ALBUM"-esque things which make her sound arrogant at times. I think she needs to keep her feet firmly on the ground, and afterall 1 single does not a success make. Alexandra could take a leaf out of one Leona Lewis' book. Alternatively she could take a look at Keisha from the Sugababes Tweets and she seems to do it with genuine excitement and grace. She seems to get all of the information across about their new material and how excited they are without bordering arrogant. Forgive me - I do like Alexandra. :P She's a talented girl and i'll look forward to her album, aslong as she tones herself down a bit.

I think Debra's face looks like the Marilyn Manson mask off Bo Selecta a few years back. :heehee: But with lipgloss.

:heehee: ;) This is RIDICULOUS. I would volunteer.... Volunteer to be evicted! You wouldn't catch me doing something this terribly demeaning, they're all going "but they have been shaved off" - NO THEY HAVEN'T! He had it pretty easy though in fairness. :heehee:

Add ol' Kelly to that list. :(

I think I'd rather watch this group of idiots than that arrogant twat, if that's all the same to you.
  14. As posted in the other thread - the final decision will be made in about 2 weeks, roughly. So if your forum (or one you like visiting) is doing badly there is still time to make a change. ^_^

What an absolute group of fucking freaks. DIRE SHOW. I can't believe I ever used to watch this, never mind LOVE it as much as I did. It'll probably grow on me in time.

I'm with some other people in that I really began to warm to Debra in the last episode! I really would have liked her to get through to the final because Kate and Yasmina are both a bit robotic really, no real personality to speak of. Plus Yasmina lied quite a few times, firstly not knowing the difference between gross and net profit is a HUGE letdown as a businesswoman, it's one of the grass root basics of business. Also, when she came out of her interview and the others asked how it went she was all like "yeah it went really well", when they completely tore her apart for lying in on her CV. She's turning out to be a bit of a snake which is turning me away from her a bit. Anywho, was anybody else absolutely ASTONISHED at Debra only being 23? I sincerely thought she was mid-to-late 30's. I was like MY LORD SHE IS YOUNGER THAN ME. Bad times. Based on all of the information - Kate to win.
  17. Not from Down Under obviously but Kelly will be on So You Think You Can Dance? tonight in the USA, and confirmed to be performing Save You. Change of 3rd single or just to promote the album? Either way it'll be nice to see her perform something different. ^_^
  18. Ugh I hate when that happens, a lot of places had Rehab as "Rihanna Feat. Justin Timberlake" despite him not singing a single note on the track but just being in the video. It's not really "featuring" then is it?
  19. OFFICIAL NEWS! Taken from Perez Hilton, but as it says - confirmed by her labe! :o Excitement!
  20. Well it was to be expected really, no promotion outside of the US, quite a small budget film with little expectations. It was hardly going to match Dreamgirls, but at least it's helped her hone her acting skills.

Absolutely love this! Very catchy track, with a very good (simply, but good!) video. The girls look stunning but more importantly the track is brilliant, nothing ground-breaking obviously, but just simple pop-by-numbers with an infectious hook can do wonders. I think it would have been a lot better than If This Is Love for their debut and definitely would have performed and peaked better. I don't know... The album hasn't exactly sold amazingly well so I don't see why it can't do well for them. I'll say #4. ^_^
  22. Well I watched the first film the other day and thought it was an odd film, but nevertheless it was an easy-watch and I found it quite enjoyable. It seemed like they built up the raport with the characters very quickly, which made them relateable right from the off. The only thing that's kind of putting me off (as somebody who hasn't read the books...) is that in the trailer for the 2nd film it basically looks like they've destroyed the romance between Edward and Bella, Edward has vanished because he doesn't want to hurt her and now she seems to have moved onto this werewolf and now she's with him and Edward is history? Obviously like I said I haven't read the books, but it looks like they've just destroyed the first film and are starting from scratch with the 2nd. Someone please tell me this is not the case? :(

I'm surprised nobody else mentioned this but the mini version of Doll Domination sold 70k? Now I think THAT is clutching at straws. It charted at #9, and has tumbled quite a bit (aside from the 2nd week), so how could it have sold 70k? Glorifying the concept of the mini album perhaps?

Great thread idea! Nice to see some people actually taking notice! ;)

Mariah updated her Twitter saying she was listening to the album (in full) ( :o ) and listening to a possible sequence for it. I'm hoping Autumn means like August. Getting excited now! :D
