  1. Hmmm, I'm quite a big Alexandra fan but I didn't realise how easy she would be able to make herself look cheaper than the video. I'm not saying I want her in full length ball gowns, but you can be sexy and conservative at the same time, like in Bad Boys for instance. The track is pretty good, but the structure of the song, even parts of the video, particularly the dance breakdown reminds me of We Found Love... Hope it does well for her, I'm keen to hear the album.
  2. As Liam said, it's a well known fact that it's far too complicated to start messing with the public votes. They cannot go back on it without a serious mess following. Yes, in the real world, fairness would say just carry on without Frankie, but come on this is X-Factor - do you REALLY think they're gonna lose out on the cash generated by an extra person to vote for every week? Of course they won't! They won't just have to refund Johnny's votes, they would have to refund EVERYONE'S votes, because bringing back the person who the public chose to put in the bottom 3 and was eliminated fairly is going back on the entire POINT of a public vote. God knows people in the UK love to moan about being fiddled out of pennies, and with Ofcom already hot on their heels with the whole Frankie debacle, they were never gonna mess with the public vote. Look at it from a business perspective, ratings are down and they're in this predicament, what will get more viewers in? Bringing back somebody the public are already yawning at and have gotten rid of once, or bringing back somebody new and exciting that the public could potentially be interested in? It's a no-brainer, and anybody with the slightest bit of common sense can see that this IS the only way this would ever be resolved - the way in which helps the brand the most, and bringing back Johnny would have 0 impact because people are already tired of him, or he would have gotten enough votes to stay last week. Harsh, but true.
  3. Somebody that gets it! Hallelujah!
  4. Firstly, do not try and patronise me, I know how the show works. He could have had more votes than Kitty, but he WAS voted off in conventional methods. Johnny wasn't in the bottom 3 by some sort of bingo draw of names, he was there because the public DID NOT SUPPORT HIM. It's fair because the public had their chance to make up their minds on Johnny, and the public put him in the bottom 3, nobody else, the public did that to him because he clearly wasn't as popular as the others - now THAT is how the show works. The least popular acts that week end up in the bottom 2, or 3 in that weeks case. You are deluded my friend, and just being plain idiotic - the reason why NuVibe, Sophie, Sami, The Risk or Johnny is because they DID NOT GET THE SUPPORT OF THE PUBLIC. Plain and simple, fair and square. Whichever of the 4 gets reinstated has NEVER been given the chance to be judged by the public. How do you know that (unlikely as it seems) Jonjo / Amelia / 2 Shoes / James might have been a huge hit with the public? Might have won the show? We DON'T know that, because they never had that chance. However we DO know that NuVibe, Sami, Johnny, The Risk and Sophie would NOT have won the show, because they lacked public support, in that they put them in the bottom 2 and were eliminated fairly. It IS fairer to bring back people who have had no part in the public vote because the public might have LOVED them, but were never given the chance to show it, the eliminated ones have already had that chance. The key here is public support. The ones already eliminated lacked it, or they wouldn't have been eliminated, the 1 coming back might have overwhelming support. The reason why they would have had to refund the votes is because everybody voted on the premise of it being an advertised double elimination, and if they chance that now it would be false advertising. With no doubt yet another voting scandal of people saying "well I voted for Frankie 37 times because it was a double elimination, I wouldn't have if it was a normal week" etc, etc. I don't think it's about finding talent, but for me, I like to find at least a few people whose career I WOULD actually follow in the real world. I don't care what anybody else thinks of X-Factor, that is what the show is about for me. Like last year, the show was alright but I was pleased a new artist was discovered that I like, that is why I like X-Factor. I like Amelia and I'm pleased she's getting another crack at the whip, but this is not whether or not I like Amelia or the other 3, I'm not some sort of loon that can't see past the entire process. This is the fairest way and the ONLY way the X-Factor can resolve this without losing money from future phone votes or having to refund people and getting a little bit of exposure for the show, of course this is the only way they'd resolve it!

It's a pretty good album, not typically the genre I'd listen to (because of the excessive rapping...) but it's a pretty good album. They're all rather good but my favourites at the moment are Playa Boi and Superhero, as well as the singles of course. Playa Boi for single #3 please!
  6. He can't come back because the public have already voted him out fair and square. The judges chose Kitty to stay so you could say that the judges got rid of Johnny, but in reality he was in the bottom 3 because the public didn't vote for him - hence he was eliminated in traditional fashion. As controversial as it is, this IS the fairest way, the 4 that were eliminated were the only choice for a replacement as they weren't eliminated through conventional methods (the reason they left was because of the judges, not because of lack of public support) without having to refund every single vote from last week, which they would've had to do if they reinstated Johnny. It's so frustrating that people are going crazy for Johnny to come back, which in a nonsensical way I can sort of understand, but The Risk? They were eliminated solely based on the public vote, it would be proposterous to bring them back. Everyone is banging on about Johnny as if he was some sort of SAVIOUR OF X-FACTOR. He was a complete and utter joke, the whole OTT campness, plus the ridiculous song choices (Louis isn't entirely to blame...), his whole persona just screams joke. Harmless fun, but got dull, repetitive and tedious very quickly. The right decision has been made, and I'm pleased that we WILL (in Amelia) get somebody that's talented and an actual contender, not just someone who's there to make up the numbers.
  7. Oh YAH I KNO. Chris Crocker V.2, putting the CD booklet of your Oops! album through the shredder while smashing all of the singles and mailing them to Britters in a box with your own shit. Oh HO what happened? :(

I think also, that when you listen to the full album it gels quite well then you get to that and it's a bit like, what is this? It detracts from the cohesiveness (even a word? Cohesion possibly? f*** it.) of the album as a whole.
  9. Oh aye, I have seen the odd photo of you on here, hadn't noticed it before, but yeaaah now you mention it. :o Luckily for you J-cake I rather much prefer you. ^_^
  10. Ah nah, I personally didn't like him either. I was too much of a Cher stan to notice anyone else. :kink:
  11. After Craig's performance tonight I genuinely thought he could be the one to beat, based on judges comments, audience reaction, how impressed I was. Obvs. :heehee: However, I thought the same thing after last years first show after Aidan sang Mad World, and looked how that turned out. What a difference a couple of weeks can make. ^_^
  12. I pretty much agree with everyone else. It's so annoying that she just can't be arsed to even TRY anymore. The whole thing about her having kids and stuff now is rubbish too - as much as I despise her (as a person and an artist), Madonna literally goes all out in her performances, videos, tours etc, etc. and so do tonnes of others, so the kids thing is tosh. She just got lazy, plain and simple. It may sound a little heartless but I couldn't care less if she's a bit annoyed about her lack of creative freedom or whatever, she is a megastar and needs to remember that regardless of whether she likes it or not, she has an obligation to give 110% in every performance or tour, because we have paid to see her. As someone who went to see her at the O2 for the Circus tour, I expected a hell of a lot more from her. Just to call a spade a spade here, Britney will never stop touring - and nobody is forcing her to tour, she is touring because she makes most of her $$$ from touring, and while people are still shelling out extortionate prices to see her, she will keep doing sweet F.A. As Tyler said, while the music she is delivering is still pretty decent it's the actual human side of things that's the problem - having to do interviews, like she's some sort of drone, lazy performances, half arsed tours. It's down to her. I think Britney has gotten to the point now where she doesn't want to do this anymore, but realises that no matter how rich she is, the longer she keeps doing it the more money she makes for her kids. She couldn't care less about creative input of this album or that album, she just DOESN'T WANT TO DO IT. Minimal input, maximum output, plain and simple. The longer she's doing this the longer she is ruining her own legacy - and as a Britney fan, I hate to have had to make this post.
  13. The girls are the strongest group I reckon, I think Sophie will get boring though, and as a viewer pointed out on the Xtra Factor - Sophie has had very little press attention, people know very little about her which can lead to people thinking she has no personality, harsh but true. I reckon if it had been a public vote Sophie would've came last out of the girls. Really strong vocal, but I wouldn't say the performance or Sophie were particularly memorable. I think Amelia has much more to her than we've seen, I can see her giving some cracking performances in the weeks to come but I do think Sophie will be one of these "balladeers", as naturally slower songs suit her vocal more I would expect, thus it'll show little versatility to her.
  14. Frankie would be a shock, as much as I know he won't, from any talent scouts standpoint he would be the obvious one to go. You could easily see Barlow getting rid of Craig? Considering he said it was his performance of the night? Nooooo chance! I do think Marcus was awful tonight, but at the same time I think it was moreso the song that just didn't suit his voice rather than his lack of ability.
  15. I was actually going to make a lengthy post in this thread, but you seem to have encompassed everything I was going to rave about tbh. Great entertainment tonight as always, a few things to highlight. I think it became painfully obvious tonight that Frankie is easily the worst singer, in that he can't actually sing anything other than "spoken word" kinda songs. The judges praised him which was expected but his lack of vocal ability was painfully obvious which I knew would happen and I'm pleased it did because I'm personally sick of the kid, he comes across as an extremely precocious, arrogant young man. Tattoo's and all, not a fan in the slightest. If Barlow had any sense he'd be sent packing tomorrow. Although James will because he's painfully dull despite having superior vocal ability. Kitty's performance was terribly out of tune toward the end, and the most awful thing about tonight for me was the audience reaction - in that there seemingly WAS NONE. At least Jedward got boo'd. Just nothing, the crowd just gave her nothing, I think you could tell by her reaction to that that she felt like she wanted the ground to swallow her. Painful to watch. Favourites tonight for me were Craig and Misha. Strangely enough I've never actually heard Jar of Hearts before tonight but recognised the title and really enjoyed his performance, very good, passionate. I was expecting something a lot more middle of the road soul R&B from Misha, much like her first audition so despite having the same resouding "UGH" as everyone else at Adele being used yet again, I think she did a good job and definitely mixed it up with the rap, which again, I enjoyed. I was really, really surprised at how good Rhythmix were, I expected them to be appalling in honesty, but I was impressed by how good they actually were. I haven't read through all of the pages of comments about tonight and haven't seen Rhythmix mentioned, but I can't imagine BuzzJack taking to them too well, but personally I really enjoyed them and was pleasantly surprised by them. Janet! Originally I liked Janet, at Bootcamp I liked Janet. At Judges Houses I thought she was quite contrived and seemed to try and sound as "different" as possible to stand out, it seemed rather forced to me, which made me dislike her. You can see what they were trying to do tonight by putting Janet on last because she was probably the most anticipated performance of tonight but I found it dull, predictable and to quote Cowell "distinctly average", nothing special about it tonight at all. I agree with a lot of people in saying that I can't see her having much versatility, because despite the rather accurate comparisons to Diana Vickers, I think Diana is leagues ahead of Janet, as others have said in regards to the strength of the vocal, stage presence, personality etc, etc, etc. Predictions for chops tomorrow? Boys - James Girls - Amelia :( Groups - NuVibe Overs - Jonjo Not who I'd like to go, but who I think will go.
  16. Good video, not what I imagined but fitting. I think if this is promoted properly and we get a few interviews where she comes across as genuinely likeable she could have a good sized hit on her hands. I think this will definitely click more with the public than Swagger Jagger, less controversy and just a nice catchy tune - it's a different side to her than the attitude filled brat most people know so hopefully this will get her some support because God knows she needs it. Hoping for another #1, and with an X-Factor performance too I think she stands a pretty good shot. I would say definitely top3 regardless. :D
  17. There's a video of her doing an acoustic version at Real Radio on DigitalSpy at the minute. Really good for a live off-the-cuff performance. ^_^
  18. I did say pages back that this should be the second single because it would be much better in full - and I was right. Loving La Lloyd.
  19. Oh and I See You was #6 with a little under 500, and that actually is one of my favourites from Leona, standalone it probably wouldn't be, but in the context of the film also I adore it.
  20. I think I'm in the same boat as Rain, some tragic counts coming up... Keeping in mind though these have been clocked up basically since the time these songs were premiered, including Bleeding Love! 1. Bleeding Love (914 plays) 2. Run (743 plays) 3. Forgive Me (710 plays) :o 4. Alive (584 plays) :o 5. Better In Time (528 plays) I knew Bleeding Love and Run would be #1 and #2 and in that order, but the other 3 are a bit random if you ask me, I wouldn't necessarily class them as my favourites, oh and this doesn't include the plays of the live versions I have off the DVD/CD :kink: and in my defense these count how many times I've played them using my docking station too, it's not just out and about iPod listening. Look at me trying to justify it. I'm not ashamed, I'm a huge fan and have never hid that fact. ^_^ Collide clocked up to a respectable 261 so far too.

That video is a hideous. Simply for the fact that the actual graphics look extremely like Glee, and the actual picture of him wearing the hoodie is a complete rip of a very famous Justin Bieber picture. So contrived it makes me ill.

Incredible, I always wait anxiously to see if she'll hit the stellar notes as well as the recording and she smashes it everytime. I was actually saying to my friends "well this is just too easy for her, she's not even trying!" which genuinely seemed to be the case, not one tiny bit of struggle on her face, it seemed as easy as breathing for her. Brilliant performance, made me fall in love with the song again. Should really set her up well heading into the "EPIC CHART BATTLE" which shall begin at midnight...
  23. It's actually quite alarming when you think that out of 7 winners, Simon only really still has Leona that he hasn't dropped, Matt not having released anything yet, he doesn't really count. Out of everyone that has ever appeared on the X-Factor, who is actually still on his label? Leona, Olly (joint deal with another label though, yeah?), Cher Lloyd, One Direction (with both of Cher and 1D being immediately on the scrapheap if they flop). I don't think I can be bothered at this hour to think of the others...
  24. Again, no offense and as a fan I feel your pain, but at the same time you can't keep finding excuses as to why they've done poorly, one or two singles maybe, but within the bit I've quoted you've literally covered the majority of their collective career, you've covered 2 albums and half of their singles. As a fan (which I'll say again, I AM!!!!), there has to come a point where you stop and say "look, something about them isn't working, it's just not clicking" and as a fan I have done that, and believe they truly need to go back to the drawing board. -_-
  25. Now you see, all of the things I've bolded are irrelevant. I never "blamed" the group. Do you think their label will actually be sitting around a table going "Yeah this flopped, then this flopped, now the lead single has done nothing... But come on we did loads of things wrong and so did their management, let's just give them another chance?" - Of course they won't. The Saturdays are a pop group and their main focus is and will always be shifting units and if they can't do that then they will end up on the scrapheap, which I think if this single goes wrong as well, they will be in danger of doing. Radio support is a big part of a songs success, but at the same time is not essential, there are tonnes of tracks which have genuinely been loved by the public which have done well without radio support, and in general I don't think the single was well received at all - by comparison to Up, Higher, Ego... The general reception was poor, sales don't lie and neither does the chart run, if it was genuinely "LOVED" (your words, not mine), it would have done a hell of a lot better. As far as All Fired Up goes, I do think you're looning a bit if you think the general response to the track has been "really good" - most of the people in this thread are strong Saturdays fans but the majority of posts in this thread have said that the video is amazing, but the song lacks in comparison and is "slowly growing" or still not up to scratch - and if die hard fans are saying that, I would beg to differ that this single is being well received. As I said, I pray I come back to this thread in 6 weeks time and eat my words, but I have the distinct feeling it'll be the other way round my friend...
