I don't think he does either and I don't even like Akon. :o Oh and I was going to say that the only thing that separates this from WBT is the fact that Mariah hits the massive notes at the end whereas Whitney doesn't. Perhaps intentional? Or perhaps because she can't anymore? I'll wait for the album to decide which!

Agreed! I absolutely LOVE this. Which isn't too strange because i'm a huge Whitney fan and as Rich says it's a bit reminiscent of my favourite track EVER (in Mariah's We Belong Together - of course). I don't think it'll go down too well as a lead single but definitely as an album track. J'adore. :heart:

Well usually the reason for albums being re-released is because they've flopped and whilst it hasn't done amazingly I wouldn't say it's completely flopped either. It's done alright. If when I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time is over the album still hasn't caught on then I think it's a good idea. I think it's because Mimi obviously sold like almost 6m in the US and E=MC2 is about 1.1m at the moment and it's already running out of steam which I don't understand because I actually think it's a better album but WHATEVER. I think it's a good idea really, but she's REALLY going to need a complete stormer if she expects the re-release the catch on. Either a killer ballad, better than all of the ones on the current version anyway, I think she tried to re-create a lot of the elements of WBT on all of the ballads to be honest but it just didn't work and I don't think the album really does have a huge anthemnic ballad like Mimi did. Plus I reckon she'll be aiming for that 19th #1. :P

Yeah Knockdown was released fully, but missed the Top40, I think it was #41 or something really not that far off.

Hmmm Kelly had a semi hit then a flop single and album in Thankful and Low / The Trouble With Love Is, then because of her success in the US she went away and came back with her second album and was given a second chance. Then of course she hit lucky with Breakaway and had a million selling album, but then look at her disaster of a third album... Kelly is clearly very inconsistent in terms of success. Jordin doesn't and probably will never have the same type of fanbase as Kelly which is my trouble.

Mariah has CONFIRMED that she will be re-releasing the album. :o She says the re-vamped version of I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time with T.I. will be on it and a possible duet with Stevie Wonder they're trying to organise. :o Of course it's a cheap money spinner when the album doesn't really desperately need to be re-released but i'm just excited for more Mariah tracks. :w00t: I guess that means we can kiss goodbye to Migrate though... I reckon that the re-release will be after this single, or maybe she'll wait and drop it before Christmas like she did with Mimi to capitalise on the annual high sales period? Either way it's exciting! :kink:

Thanks Martin. ^_^ There's no real conspiracy or dirty dealings behind it. It's pretty simple - i'm never here and don't do anything so I asked to be removed because it wasn't fair to be in such a position of power on the forum when i'm actually never here. So I asked to be removed altogether but I guess the Admin folk thought it best to keep me as a GM incase I change my mind which is nice of them. ^_^ WELL DONE FESTER.

To be honest I don't even think Migrate will return her to #1. :( You know when there's such a killer track on an album but because the album has already tanked all of the future singles from it will flop despite the quality of them because it's already deemed a "dead project". I'm starting to think E=MC2 is a dead project. :(

But this is the trouble you see - the video only really gets major rotation when it's first added and that sudden rush is gone now and it didn't bring in any downloads despite doing quite well on video rotation. We both know there will BE no promotion. It's all down to radio I guess. My hopes are not high however. :(

Up 21 places to #79 this week! :D That's all airplay too because it's still yet to enter iTunes and is only #197 on the Digital Chart.

Hmmm my relationship with Eminem is quite 2 sided. When Eminem does decent material, like real from the heart stuff I think he is a genius. Songs like When I'm Gone, Cleaning Out My Closet, Stan, Lose Yourself, Toy Soldiers etc. are great I think. Although he has this OTHER hideous side to him that I absolutely detest where he basically just takes cheap shots at people to sell music, it's complete novelty and on par with stuff like the Cheeky Girls et al, songs like Just Lose It and Without Me are just horrible. They physically make my ears bleed. So if he wants to come back with decent material i'm all for it, if he's coming back just to be a novelty act then he can stayed "retired" for me.

Oh I think they are talented don't get me wrong. Potentially they could have a similar career to Girls Aloud, but the UK are quite hesitant when it comes to new girlbands, I mean the list of casualties is endless. They do have alright voices, can carry a tune and by the sounds of the snippets i've heard here and there seem to have quite good material. It all just depends on how well the UK public receive them.
