Mariah at MTV VMA's (Japan)
I adore the extended intro! Plus the performance itself was very good. ^_^ We do recall that from before the album was released at one of the listening parties L.A Reid did say that this album would have SIX singles... So with the inclusion of I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time (and possibly Migrate for the US) that still leaves us with 2 potential singles. I'm thinking they're going to be I'm That Chick and perhaps I Stay In Love.

Bye Bye [US #19]
In the midweeks Bye Bye is down to #52. :arrr: OFFICIAL FLOP ANYONE?
-
Your Top Ten Mariah?
I don't reckon I could do a truly accurate one at this point in time... as Andre rightly pointed out the novelty of the E=MC2 tracks being new would make it a little off I think.

I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time [US #61]
Bye Bye is doing alright in the US, AI are up quite a bit this week after the fall last week and it's re-climbing iTunes and is the highest at the moment than it has been since she performed on American Idol / Oprah. I reckon she should have held off for those performances for a bit because I think the momentum of Touch My Body made it stall just a bit... The UK are completely rejecting it though. :( I hope for Top20 but we'll see... Anyway onto the single! Well aslong as it wasn't Love Story I'd be happy. Migrate, I'm That Chick (even though it is a bit TMB part 2...) or this would make great singles. Although not sure how well this is going to go down on radio. If Radio1 didn't touch the second single what makes you think they'll touch this? I'm sceptical for the moment. However the live performance at the Japan VMA's was SENSATIONAL.

Jennifer Hudson was in American Idol years ago but got booted out before the final 12 stages. She was in Dreamgirls alongside Beyonce and arguable stole the show, she's been hyped ever since and All Dressed Up In Love is from the Sex & The City film too, from which she also stars in alongside the usual 4 girls...

"Disturbia" // 7th single
I do, yeah. I agree with you on that point. You've just got to think of it from a business point of view - what is going to interest the public more, a brand new track? Or a track which is already a year old which most people interested in Rihanna have heard a zillion times? I agree and prefer Rehab but Take A Bow has done the business, no doubt about it. Oh and LOVE Disturbia.

Breakin' Dishes - Cancelled single
Well your opinion would have made Rihanna flop instead of having another #1. Fact.

Oooh I think that's a new peak for Mariah. :o :D

Brittany Murphy > Forthcoming Pop album
Oooh it actually did a lot better than I recall. ^_^

Brittany Murphy > Forthcoming Pop album
I was a HUGE fan of Faster Kill Pussycat. Anyone have the chart run / sales for that?

It is a great track. :o Oh and it's because it's featured in the Sex & The City film, and soundtrack for that matter...

Alanis Morissette - "Flavours Of Entanglement" Era
I suggest one starts with Versions Of Violence. ^_^
-
Sex and the City Movie
I thought that too, it was all a bit predictable. I could have told you the end about half an hour into it. I actually thought it seemed more like 3 episodes back-to-back than an actual film. The first hour or so was great, really action packed and stuff, the middle hour just really slowed down and was a bit fillery and then the end was so-so. I enjoyed it though. ^_^

Keri Hilson 'Energy' ıı Summer 2008
Hmmm this is quite good, but not what I was expecting from Keri in honesty. I was expecting a real club banger considering all of the other stuff she's been involved in, it's good and I expect it'll grow on me but it's a bit average for me thus far.

Breakin' Dishes - Cancelled single
I wish people would stop saying this. Take A Bow was #1 in both the UK and the US. Could you HONESTLY say that you think (the dire) Breakin' Dishes would have been #1 in either country? Top20 at best in the US and Top15 in the UK I would have guessed.

Alanis Morissette - "Flavours Of Entanglement" Era
I can't believe there isn't more on this album! I downloaded it a few days ago and LOVE it, which is weird because Alanis isn't usually my sort of thing. I loved Ironic but come on - who didn't? I got into Ironic round about the time that So-Called Chaos came out so I bought it and loved that too. I actually prefer both of these albums more than her "Collection" she released a few years back. Oh and Versions Of Violence is just as huge of an opportunity for a hit as Eight Easy Steps was. I phucking LOVE IT. The electro beat with some good old scary vocals, a smidge Amy Lee sounding in the vocal, which is by no means a bad thing. Amazing track. Not As We is also amazing, I love Giggle Again For No Reason too. Luff to The Morissette.

*Pussycat Dolls-When I Grow Up Thread*
No she hasn't dear, and she is on the cover, in the middle surprise, surprise! :P
-
Ashlee Simpson
Which UK label does she belong to nowadays? She was dropped from Polydor, non?
-
"Forgive Me" • Fourth Single
Or they could just release the single with Misses Glass as the b-side. :P It would sell well anyway. Personally I wouldn't buy it because I already have them. Plus 2 new tracks isn't really a great selling point. If they added in all of the b-sides (Forgiveness, You Bring Me Down) and included the new edits of Better In Time and Footprints In The Sand I think people would be a lot more inclined to buy it.

Bye Bye [US #19]
That is great yeah but still no playlisting on Radio1. :arrr:
-
"Disturbia" // 7th single
Considering Take A Bow is #1 in the US and could potentially be #1 in the UK I don't really think releasing a year old track instead would have been the brightest idea...
-
"E=MC²" [UK #3, US #1]
Well no good news on the album unfortunately... Down 6 places to #52 from the Sunday chart position of #46. :( Also it's down to #6 in the latest HDD update from the US.

Bye Bye [US #19]
New at #71 in the midweeks. :D Hopefully it'll climb up to Top60 at least by Sunday. ^_^
