Yeaaah this is true. Although Mimi was touted as "THE COMEBACK" which everyone was buzzing about. I don't expect E=MC² to sell anywhere near the 5.9m that Mimi did, but a good 3m isn't too much to ask I don't think. Not considering all of the huge potential singles she could have from this album...

Mariah highest first week album sales. :P Her record thus far for first week sales was 410k and that was Mimi. :P I'm completely shocked, I was expecting about 400k at absolute best. This is amazing. :D Thoroughly deserved though, the album is amazing and definitely one of her best. :heart:

Mary J. Blige did 830k but that was Christmas week (or the week before) so that was expected. Sales that high for this time of year are once in a blue moon, considering Mimi was released near enough the exact same date 3 years ago and that only sold 410k in it's first week and was Mariah's highest first week sales of an album ever, another record broken. :D

I think he means 4Real 4Real. ;) US iTunes: Aside from the 2 current singles (the positions of which I have put in their single topics) Mariah has other entries from the album in the iTunes Top100 which are as follows: #66 - Side Effects #42 - Migrate Also the album is #1 on iTunes Top Albums. ^_^ UK iTunes: E=MC² is #3 on Top Albums.

Bye Bye is #30 and #87 on US iTunes. ^_^

In the US Touch My Body features at both #9 and #13 on iTunes. ^_^

I think the Texas accent was a little out, more Southern to my ears. :P Was a great little piece though, I love it when he says "if you haven't got her album, forget it, you're a bad person". :lol:

Only down to #7 in the midweeks! :o Really good chart run thus far, 3 weeks in the Top10 looks like. ^_^

They have a good 12k lead on her. So that's waaay out of reach unfortunately. Mariah has a good 6.5k lead on Duffy though so that places her safely in third. Although Mariah has 3 albums in the Top200, the other 2 being The Emancipation Of Mimi and The Greatest Hits. ^_^ We shouldn't get too confident though, let's not forget Christina Aguilera got her first UK #1 album with Back To Basics yet it scraped platinum. We've got a long way to go yet. :arrr:

No chance in hell. She has a 6,000 copies lead over Duffy, so unles something really bad occurs I would say she's safe at #2, she's got no chance for #1, but it would be a rather steep fall off in sales for her to go any lower than #2.

HMV didn't sell the normal edition. :( I can't either, but it'll be a decent sized hit, I expect around the same as Touch My Body, although we may see a bit of movement with the album around the time of release. ^_^

I thought the single would drop like a brick but apparently not...

I think the majority of this is down to The Friday Night Project, she got rave reviews for doing that. Plus the single is Top5.
