It's alright, good track but I don't find it very catchy and the chorus seems to lack something. Better than Why R U though...

Agree with the above, like most Mariah performances it really "picked up" at the end. ^_^ Let's hope this pushes her further on iTunes! Still at #14...

I think the album hasn't even sold 1m worldwide yet, and considering the huge success of the last one, this is definitely a flop - not only by their standards, but by anyones standards really. I wish I knew what the problem is though, the album is really solid in quality and has plenty of great tracks so I don't see why it flopped really. Usually there's an indicator as to why an album has flopped, poor single choices, no promotion, generally a dud album, but none of those apply to them so i'm pretty stumped. :(

I look forward to this, her albums aren't very solid and contain a hell of a lot of samey filler but she always has a couple of killer tracks on there. ^_^ To be honest I think her deal with Island Def Jam was her best bet at being successful again, they pumped a hell of a lot of money into her and then she left because of "creative differences" - seemingly there's no pleasing her. She was with EMI and I genuinely thought it was them who botched up her career and made very little effort into making her a success and was pleased when she left and signed with IDJ, but then the same thing happened with them. I reckon she's just plain lazy really, she needs to realise that she cannot sell based on name alone anymore and has to promote just like everybody else and seemingly it's something she's not prepared to do which makes her entire career redundant, i'm very doubtful that she'll ever be successful again i'm sad to say, but it's her complacency that's making her career that way.

It's been on US iTunes for about a day now and it's at #79...

It doesn't air until tomorrow night in the US, which will be early Thursday morning for us so I wouldn't hold your breath for one right now. ;) Well Obsessed is climbing again in the US, it's up to #16. Not the biggest of climbs but considering it's been stuck in a 20-22 slump for the past week or so it's definitely a step in the right direction, with the performance airing tomorrow night we should definitely see her climb again. I hope she gets back to the Top10! :arrr:

Keep going! :D She's performing Obsessed tomorrow night on America's Got Talent which should definitely see her rise more. The whole video premiere was a debacle, they showed like a mini clip. What a nightmare. The performance should definitely push her up! Good to see Whitney on the rise too, dunno how like considering it's been available as a free download on her website for the past week... :blink:

They're already giving it away as a free track though, this CANNOT be the lead single, I love it and all but they're now going to try and sell a song they're giving away for free? Madness. Sort it out Clive son!

I'm hoping for Top20 at LEAST. Anything lower than that will be a major disappointment... Obviously I hope for Top5 a-la Touch My Body, but they're holding off on the downloads for now which (as the song grows, more airplay etc.) could be a good thing.

Run This Town IS immense... Has everybody read the review from the listening party? Mariah HAS covered I Wanna Know What Love Is and apparently she KILLS IT. I wasn't sure about this at first, but aslong as it's kept as an album track it should be alright, dying to hear it though! The reviewers said the first 4 tracks on the album sound like smash hit singles waiting to happen and marked H.A.T.E.U. as a highlight. Excitement please! :w00t: For me it's like Whitney and Mariah are jostling for position in the excitement stakes. :lol: The winner will be the one who leaks first. :kink:

Oh I SEE! Well has everybody seen the video of Mariah performing this on America's Got Talent? Not too bad, vocals were pretty good, the big notes were most definitely pre-recorded as usual though, there was a lot of Mariah being picked up and put back down. :lol: Oh and WHAT were those blue pants about? No Mariah, just no.

By the way... Are the UK not getting this AT ALL? I have heard it on Radio 1 once and that was weeks ago and haven't heard it since, seen no video, no release date...

If she puts Radar on this album too i'll have a kitten. :heehee:

Nah I think it's just off the Precious Soundtrack... Plus didn't everyone think that H.A.T.E.U. was supposed to be the next single? The video for Obsessed has just been released not long ago! Craziness if this is the new single, but then again IDJ are seemingly butchering this era just to maintain consistency after the last.
