I hope iTunes don't fix the T-Pain error. DREADFUL DREADFUL song. I haven't heard anything that bad since 'Bedrock' :kink: I was really surprised when I listened to DTME. I was expecting a whole song of rapping but his voice is really shocking (in a what the hell sort of way). Doesn't really scream #1 record to me though it is a quiet week...
  2. Taio Cruz for first #1 of the new year then? :(

They need more of the 'could've been a princess...' section. Only having it at that one part of the track is not good enough for me Imma fraid. It's the catchiest part of the song. Still think the track is brilliant though.
  4. Coldplay need to perform a portion of 'Paradise' and then break into 'Princess of China' by which point Rihanna will appear on stage *nods*

Coldplay need to get on the X Factor final and perform 'Princess of China'. That and 'Paradise' are both divine. I can't believe they're still throwing out decent tracks after all this time. Rihanna's bound to be on TXF final again. She'd chew off her own leg for that show :heehee:
  6. I really think they need to release a single for the winner in the summer and follow the JLS type release pattern as Rooney said. It just seems silly to hold back a below average song for the first live show when that boost barely did anything for Cardle and McElderry. A single in July followed by another in October and the album would be a FAR better option I think.
  7. Were we all so blinded by a corking tune that we overlooked Katy Perry's blatant homophobia and gender role brain washing? SCANDAL.
  8. Am I the only one who finds something extremely boring and irritating about Marcus? *runs*

I think saving for a Masters and deciding that clothes and toiletries and heck food is more important than CDs plays a HUGE factor  Plus also like I said - a lot of content is available on Spotify if I really want to listen to an album. I still download songs from iTunes. ^_^

I really hope Nirvana can get Christmas #1. Such an iconic track. The X Factor Winner is bound to sell less in Christmas week if it's out the week before. Nirvana would only need 300k I should think. I never cared for RATM. I still don't like the song that much now, but Nirvana defined an era and it would be a brilliant way to mark the song's 20th anniversary.

I haven't bought any albums at all in the past two years except Katy Perry's 'Teenage Dream' and P!nk's Greatest Hits, the latter of which was a Christmas present. Considering back in 2004 time - I would spend the best part of £20 a week on new albums or singles says a lot. It's not that I think music has gotten worse, everything's on Spotify so I don't feel the need to waste my money when it could be used on other more important things. Maybe I'm an evil, evil person for not supporting the industry and such but I will now only buy an album if it is absolutely brilliant. I think lowering album prices is the only way to try and boost the failing market. Yes it would be bad for the major supermarket chains/independent stores but they're going to slowly decline under Amazon and company anyway who are doing just that.
  12. So I hope next week will be based entirely on votes please. They've already manipulated the series enough - it's only right that the public drop the one with the least votes from the final. I'm glad Janet went. Amelia Lily next week plz. Who is performing next week? I didn't watch live.

I am not sure if they ever got to #1 on iTunes but I assume it was likely as 'Hero' was the #1 download for a fortnight, YANA for a week as did 'Heroes'. I couldn't comment on where they were before the performance without looking it up. Maybe I will :kink:

Wonder if either would make iTunes top 10 without the Finalists' performance tonight? They're climbing quite slowly. I still predict a fortnight for the Finalists before the Winner takes over (and hopefully Nirvana the week after that).
  15. I don't think she's vile. There's something unlikeable about her. Her awkward way of speaking and drawling certain words in songs. The fact she couldn't sing 'Falling in love with you' properly grated on me a little is an example of this. The fact she seems to be caught in some fan-girl faze of wanting to be Ellie Goulding and Florence Welch's love child. Her boring personality. The way they try to pass her off as 'different' and 'quirky', when all I see is a sub-par Diana Vickers (when considering how awful the original is, is a worthy achievement) but with ginger hair and a lack of reliance on creepy hand movements. These things make her unlikeable on the screen and tbh I don't think she has done anything that makes her appear as the 'ready made popstar' Louis Walsh seems to want the public to see. As much as Misha B gets hate for her antics etc, she looks like a popstar to me. Her first performance last night from the vocals, to her presence and how she worked the crowd is something you'd expect to be seeing at an actual concert from an artist, not 'MmmBop!'.
  16. P.S If I were Hanson, I would sue that mop head.
  17. Well I sort of softened to Amelia Lily with her first performance. Very good, solid vocal there. Impressive. Then she went and mauled Kelly Clarkson and sounded awful throughout. She really needs to settle into songs that have as little vocal acrobatics as possible for her voice to not offend me. Janet was a hot MESS as I predicted. Does she try and sound Ellie Gouldingish on purpose? I don't think even Ellie wails like that or mispronounces 'MmmBop!' (when she wasn't forgetting the words at any rate). Marcus is a very talented guy but does nothing for me at all. I think he could win if I'm honest. He just has that boring personality and style going for him that the past couple of winners seem to embody. Either way, win or lose, I do not foresee a big career for him. Misha B. Is it wrong that I liked her Cyndi Lauperness? Not so keen on the second but I like when she does something different. Her rap was hardly audible but I gather she enjoys salted crisps. Tasty. Little Mix MUCH better on 'Beautiful', though still really shaky. Not a great week from them, but they do seem like genuine sweet girls. I want them to win out of the five left anyway.

I've been put off also. I struggle normally because I'm not that good with all the science lingo. I just say these things happen 'because of that bad thing Walter did'. But the episodes of S4 are painful to watch and are getting painfully dull. I hope it picks up past episode 4 but the thing in the past that has drawn me to the show are the characters and their whole dynamic has been screwed up.
  19. Janet singing is going to be the biggest hot mess since anything performed by Wagner. Oh let it be true!

Adele 15.5% Ed Sheeran 14.7% I employ the Tesco mantra of 'Every Little Helps' :kink: I voted for TAT.

Reggie Yates? I'm sorry WHY? Are they really that hard done by for knowledgeable/DECENT people in the music industry? It boggles me, it really does. I echo whoever said this is going to become an X Factor style car crash. Just stick on Jonathan Ross and Tina Barret of S Club whilst you're at it.

Because the song is dull compared to his previous hits? He's usually pretty solid and I am a fan but DWMT is awful. Apparently these X Factor acts can't always release anything and expect an instant #1 anymore...
  23. The fact such a question has been asked is hilarious. From an entertainment, academic perspective and basically every single category in the history of categories except possibly 'things that sparkle'/and 'I am a feminist but I am writing this pile of vampire shit' - Harry Potter.

Of the three big albums (Rihanna, 1D, Saturdays), I actually think The Saturdays is the best! Can't believe I'm saying that but Rihanna's is rather dull, 1D's samey and despite they've ripped off 'Papi' and Alexis Jordan's 'Happiness', I think The Sats have produced a solid pop record :o
  25. I don't care Craig has gone but at the risk of sounding like a broken record, it's disgusting Amelia Lily is getting so far. Her sing-off performance was diabolical.
