US TV Primetime Discussion || Fall 2011
I would've had HoD and 'Ringer' as lead ins. '90210' is going to be even more battered by 'Glee'. I am seriously thinking that 'Ringer' & 'TSC' will both premiere to over 4 million viewers. I wonder if either will get a 2.0 in the demo. That's next to impossible for The CW. I think TVD has only managed it once or twice. I feel HoD will premiere to more 'Nikita/Hellcats' numbers.

Renewal//Cancelation 2011 || FOX, NBC + ABC cancel pg15/16
REALLY? Watching the clip where she's on the rooftop with the outfit as well, it's like Buffy is back on TV again. I was very confused. I think the point of looking worn down is due to the role. She still looks beautiful. Not too impressed by TSC clips but I have had VERY high hopes for this series since hearing it was being considered for a pick up. I have just read the books and they are a lot better than TVD series and we've seen what an amazing show that has become. (so yes Mikey, they are a book series :P) 'Hart of Dixie' is hmmmmmish. I may watch it just because it sort of gives me that old school WB vibe of 'Dawson's Creek'/'Gilmore Girls'. 'H8er' can rot in hell though. I guarentee that'll be off the schedule and replaced with 'One Tree Hill's final season by November.

Where Will The Saturdays - Notorious peak?
As good as 'Firework'? PJ really do spend their days on crack don't they? I was really looking forward to this as they have always had great tracks in the past, but this is nothing short of horrific. :(

US TV Primetime Discussion || Fall 2011
'Cougar Town' wasn't doing that bad behind 'Modern Family' in the fall. Could've been better but they put it on hiatus for months :lol: I've never watched it but I really want to. I think it'll have a 13 episode order as Deadline states it will air on Tuesdays at 9 from Jan with 'Apartment 23' when DWTS is on hiatus. 'Once Upon A Time' sounds soooo much better than before in that press release. I am so excited to watch that. 'Revenge' also could be pretty decent.

ABC SCHEDULE MONDAY 8:00 p.m. “Dancing with the Stars” 10:00 p.m. “Castle” TUESDAY 8:00 p.m. “Last Man Standing” 8:30 p.m. “Man Up” 9:00 p.m. “Dancing with the Stars the Results Show” 10:00 p.m. “Body of Proof” WEDNESDAY 8:00 p.m. “The Middle” 8:30 p.m. “Suburgatory” 9:00 p.m. “Modern Family” 9:30 p.m. “Happy Endings” 10:00 p.m. “Revenge” THURSDAY 8:00 p.m. “Charlie’s Angels” 9:00 p.m. “Grey’s Anatomy” 10:00 p.m. “Private Practice” FRIDAY 8:00 p.m. “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” 9:00 p.m. “Shark Tank” 10:00 p.m. “20/20” SATURDAY 8:00 p.m. “Saturday Night College Football” SUNDAY 7:00 p.m. “America’s Funniest Home Videos” 8:00 p.m. “Once Upon a Time” 9:00 p.m. “Desperate Housewives” 10:00 p.m. “Pan Am” No word on midseason yet though dramas 'The River', 'Good Christian Belles', 'Missing' & 'Scandal' alongside new sitcoms 'Work It' and 'Apartment 23' are slated to debut later than September. Strange that the networks seem to be holding back their big hitters this year (GCB, Smash). Another shock is the absence of 'Cougar Town' from the Fall Schedule. It will probably have a midseason order or be used to prop up the lineup when/if one of the new sitcoms fails epically (Man Up anybody?)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6aNEIZwPFc...&playnext=6 Trailers of new FOX shows. (Terra Nova, I Hate My Teenage Daughter, The New Girl, Napoleon Dynamite, Allan Gregory, Alcatraz, The Finder) They really do look fantastic [except 'Napoleon Dynamite' & 'The Finder']. Will definately be checking out the others. The two sitcoms look hilarious. I am shocked at how many shows I want to watch this year considering I did not check out one new series last fall except 'Raising Hope'. I honestly think FOX will be on FIRE this year.

Pilot season 2011-2012
Minus about three of four shows on CBS (Mother, Big Bang, Good Wife), they really are the worst network imo. Yet they have the most viewers etc. Go figure :heehee:

US TV Primetime Discussion || Fall 2011
Hmmm I really want to see ABC & The CW's schedules. The former has a lot of interesting shows and loads of gaps opening up from their cancellation massacre whilst I'm really hoping for once The C-Dub have put some proper thought and iniative into their schedule and picked up some decent shows yus. Though this begs to differ :lol: http://www.deadline.com/2011/05/cw-to-pick...h-their-haters/

'Lipstick' so should've been Joe McElderry's first single :heehee:

Renewal//Cancelation 2011 || FOX, NBC + ABC cancel pg15/16
I've read numerous times [probably in this thread] that the cast of TGW will be at the CBS upfronts. Bit weird to cancel the show in that case heh. Deadline reports the above three shows as only being confirmed by one reliable source so far, but M&M & H50 were shoe ins anyway.

Haiwai 5-0, Mike & Molly and Blue Bloods renewed by CBS.

Pilot season 2011-2012
Really seems they are holding back the better comedies. BFFs and Bent look actually REALLY good and will be doomed to midseason burnoff methinks :( Also I don't see Awake on their schedule. That sounded like a really difficult concept to maintain on paper but if the whole series is executed like that clip, I am hooked. They are being VERY sneaky though. There are a lot of attempts to counterschedule the other networks [Grimm on Friday, Wednesday comedy block to vie ABC etc]. I just have a feeling they're going to come out the losers though :lol:

The Vampire Diaries
Is Jeremy a necromancer? Can he summon the dead or do they just appear to him like some kind of Ghost Whisperer? :heehee: I am going to be bothered by that ALL summer now! What's your opinion Sabrewulf? Wonderful finale though.

Renewal//Cancelation 2011 || FOX, NBC + ABC cancel pg15/16
I'm really quite surprised at that. He and Sarah Chalke were my main attraction :lol: Then again, I found him funny back when I was a teenager and he was in 'American Pie' so nuff said...

Renewal//Cancelation 2011 || FOX, NBC + ABC cancel pg15/16
I still haven't gotten around to watching Mad Love but it had an awesome cast from what I recall and that's what interested me more than the concept. Shame it's been purged :(

Pilot season 2011-2012
Oh and thought I'd post this whilst I was here having a rantathon. NBC FALL TV SCHEDULE 2011-2012 MONDAY 8-10 p.m. – “The Sing-Off” 10-11 p.m. – “THE PLAYBOY CLUB” TUESDAY 8-10 p.m. – “The Biggest Loser” 10-11 p.m. – “Parenthood” WEDNESDAY 8-8:30 p.m. – “UP ALL NIGHT” 8:30-9 p.m. – “FREE AGENTS” 9-10 p.m. — “Harry’s Law” 10-11 p.m. — “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” THURSDAY 8-8:30 p.m. – “Community” 8:30-9 p.m. — “Parks and Recreation” 9-9:30 p.m. – “The Office” 9:30-10 p.m. – “WHITNEY” 10-11 p.m. – “PRIME SUSPECT” FRIDAY 8-9 p.m. – “Chuck” 9-10 p.m. – “GRIMM” 10-11 p.m. – “Dateline NBC” SATURDAY Encore programming SUNDAY 7- 8:15 p.m. — “Football Night in America” 8:15-11:30 p.m. — “NBC Sunday Night Football” NBC 2012 MID-SEASON HIGHLIGHTS *New programs in UPPER CASE; all times ET) SUNDAY 7-8 p.m. – “Dateline NBC” 8-10 p.m. – “The Celebrity Apprentice” 10-11 p.m. – “THE FIRM” MONDAY 8-10 p.m. – “The Voice” 10-11 p.m. – “SMASH” http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2011/05/1...me-shows/92607/ The link also has short clips of all the new shows. I really like the sound of 'Awake' and 'Grimm'. 'Playboy' looks like it'd be worth a shot. Not sold on 'Smash' from that clip but I am surprised they are saving it for midseason though seems like a good move considering how successful The Voice has been. The Chelsea comedy looks pretty decent and 'BFFs' and 'Bent' may be worth checking out but CHRIST 'Whitney' made me cringe so much. The laughing track and the acting eeek. I think it'll be cancelled by October. I don't see 'Grimm' lasting more than season either. The premise sounds SO intriguing and doesn't look as much of a cop show as I previously thought. But it will obviously be against 'Fringe' and 'Supernatural'. Eeeeek! I apologise if anybody else was going to put this up but I saw it and thought I'd share ^_^

Pilot season 2011-2012
I have nothing against 90210. I think that and Life UnXpected were/are quite decent shows considering their substance. OTH and GG are the opposite though imo :( I was merely saying that they are poorly rated series (even by CW standards!) and that it indicates that they aren't the kind of shows CW should be targeting. I like the ABC Family approach to tackling the high-school/teenage genre. Pretty Little Liars and Make It or Break It seem to be the mould for such shows at the minute. PLL even outrates the Monday night 90210/GG pairing I believe.

Renewal//Cancelation 2011 || FOX, NBC + ABC cancel pg15/16
Men's ratings will clearly go through the roof in the season premiere. The hype over Sheengate and the replacement of his character with a high profile celebrity is a pretty big thing. Most people will tune in purely out of interest to see how it plays out. I doubt it'll hold though and it has another couple of years in it at best.

Pilot season 2011-2012
Like I've said millions of times, The CW needs a chance under the new executive before we write it off for good. I hate that Ostroff women. My grandmother could run a network better than she has for the past five years. I am really hopeful for the CW. Gossip Girl & 90210 were clearly renewed as filler because they can't afford a whole sled of new programming. I bet both will be gone next year, if the new shows don't die Hellcats style. Them taking Ringer is an amazing move, regardless of WHY CBS passed it to them in the first place. SMG may not be a superstar these days but she definately has a lot of star-pull. I think Ringer will debut massively due to her name being attached to the project alone. Whether it performs consistantly remains to be seen. The Secret Circle is clearly going to smash similar to TVD's first season or maybe even better. Heavenly sounds decent enough and I read it's only such a strong contender due to its supernatural elements. That's a good road for the network to take. The WB made its name with original and quality programming. Buffy, Angel, Charmed, Gilmore Girls, Dawson's Creek, Popular, Everwood, Smallville, Roswell, Supernatural etc. From things I've read, many of the generation in the late 90s/early 00s define that network as part of their adolescence. TVD was a fantastic move because it captures the essence of those shows so well. I'm not saying they need a slew of supernatural series, but 90210 and Gossip Girl are clearly not the way forward.

X-Factor: Dannii Out, Tulisa In
Charlotte Church and Elton John are needed ASAP. I don't know why and there's no way in a million years it'd ever happen but they'd provide classic television. Dunno if I will bother this year. On top of the odd *decent* contestant, me and my friends got our Saturday night fix praising the Minogue, wishing Cole and Walsh would get hit by large trucks and berating everything that came out of Cowell's mouth as 'fixed'. Good times :(

Should OCC find another Radio Station
Haven't listened since that THING Reggie took over and I did listen every week beforehand - even through the dreaded JK & Joel apocalypse. I could at least tolerate them in small doses. I just get the chart offline afterwards. A new host would be fine, but tbh I don't think they need to fill it wwith stats etc. The audiences for buying music and following the charts has changed drastically due to downloads. They should play the whole top 40, keep out the games and sack Reggie Yates yus.

'Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)' • Fifth Single
Ugh. That annoyed me. As amazing as the tour was, I missed not hearing that one. It's one of my favourites. I actually love that mash up :blush:

The Vampire Diaries
I'm just making a lot of guesses. I never said the Sheriff had contacted anybody else. I merely meant that if she was able to find out then there's no reason why authorities elsewhere wouldn't be able to as well :P But I gather they'd be mroe concerned with the bigger picture like you said. I'm not trying to be a c**t or anything. I agree that it's something they should consider if they want to keep the show realistic [well as realistic as it can be :heehee:]

The Vampire Diaries
I knows. But my point was if she knows, then it can't be very difficult for other outside forces to figure out what's going on. I just find it plausible that as we know from characters on the show, everything supernatural does not live in Mystic Falls so they must exist elsewhere as would humans that know the truth.

The Vampire Diaries
How do we know the authorities don't already know? The town sheriff does. I'd love for there to be some FBI undercover storyline going on at some point, but that may be stretching the show into just a bit too much Buffy territory. I agree though. I wonder how they are going to explain Jenna's death and what will happen to Jeremy and Elena now they have no guardians at all left? I do kind of feel that investing in any character that isn't the core three is pretty risky as they just seem to get snatched away at any time. BUT what makes TVD such a brilliant show of its genre is they're not afraid to kill off people. You have to think of the show's 'world' within this context. These things are evil. They are going to kill. Yes, it's done for drama but to have a show like Supernatural or Charmed where there's a magic cure to save everybody, every other week is tiresome and stops adding suspense to the audience. What I love about TVD is that the risks are always so much higher and you never know what to expect. Jenna :( I know she did nothing and was bland but I liked her.
