Adele has THE biggest-selling female solo album in the UK...
Only 80 solo female albums have sold over a million? Thought they'd be more.

Oh woops :( I thought the finale episode was called :(

On air/on sale ... on track
I am still not sure on this policy if I'm honest. I feel it's just another step to 'Billboardising' the charts and making them slow and boring. I have really been bored of the charts this year partly due to their slow movement and also because the quality of music imo has been the worst for as long as I can remember. That's just me being picky but bleh. OA/OS is clearly only a major benefit if you release the song to radio and the video at the same time. It seems to have killed a number of massive artists hyped comebacks [beyonce, Gaga, Britney], though I guess you could argue that the quality of the songs still means something and in the case of those three the musical output has hardly been something to get excited about.

I liked Pretty Little Liars. The premise is really intriguing but I take it they are shaking it up for the new season? There's only so long they can flog the mystery of 'A'. [i don't know if it's been resolved yet as I'm recording them off Sky and MTV is MILES behind]. Kudos to anybody giving Holly Marie Combs work again though :heehee:

This is The CW though and going on that it's like what? In the top half of their shows? :heehee:- iTunes Chart: May 2011 (I)
Don't like 'I'm Into You' that much right now but I think it will grow like OTF did [obviously not as good]. I wouldn't be surprised if Blue did as well or round about the same level as Jade Ewen did in the actual contest. Like the song but it is VERY Eurovision and perfectly fine for said contest but I'm not sure if they'd have any more hits after if they don't update their sound a little. The charts are so slow and dull atm :( Not really liking a lot of the songs out. None of them scream CLASSICS.- Renewal//Cancelation 2011 || FOX, NBC + ABC cancel pg15/16
I quite like 90210 after watching it with my housemate. It's not as bad as the dreadful Gossip Girl or Hellcats which is basically the biggest pile of crap I've ever had to endure in my life. The CW [like all the networks bar CBS and possibly FOX] is in a bad state though. Sadly the new executive won't be able to make a lot of changes until next year as Dawn is pretty much still in control. They need to give up on the 18-34 demo and look at the shows that actually bring them in viewers. Those that have elements of The WB [TVD, Nikita, Supernatural]. They have a lot of potential to make the right decisions with their pilots but if Dawn has any say in what get's picked up we can expect more of the same crap. The woman is an abomination [yes I'm still seething she ditched Veronica Mars but lets shows with far less creative prospects and ratings stay on air but hey :heehee:]. Personally only The Secret Circle sounds like a hit out of their new pilots but they should go with the zombie one Awakening and Heavenly rather than the probable Hart of Dixie and that stupid female detective one about pop culture :/ And bringing OTH back wouldn't be so bad for them. It performs better than the 3 aforementioned teen soaps and they need every success they can muster at the minute.- EastEnders
Vanessa has the potential to be a huge character. I hope they at least give her a great exit. I think Zoe Lucker is a fabulous actress but I just don't feel this character at all and I think that's more to do with the writers than Zoe herself. Her scene in the cafe with Jack this week was pretty shambolic. HE WAS THE BETTER ACTOR. And that's saying something. I don't think she's even that bothered and why should she when she's been pushed into the background and the likes of Heather, Ben, Jay, Abi and Mercy get more screentime than her?- The Vampire Diaries
I like Jenna. I really do. I think she has a lot of potential, should she be used more. It's a bit of a cheat to finally let her in on the vampire world and then kill her after a week  The signs are not looking good tbh for her survival. I thought Caroline's character was hideous until they vamped her but then she turned fabulous. I just love this show so damn much! They constantly up the stakes and leave me hanging on the edge of my seat. I don't think I stopped gasping all the way through that episode  There's definately going to be death galore in the next episode by the sounds of it :( Also Season 3 has been stated as 'The Year of the Originals' so Klaus may actually succeed...- Biggest Selling Girls Vs. Boys Of The 21st Century
I'm sure that total is wrong... LOA's total is correct but IOL sold over 200k I'm certain and ODIYL 100k+. That puts her 15k or so shy of the supposed total already. You telling me her other singles failed to sell that? Also surely they must have trickled at least a few extra thousand sales due to downloads. I wonder how accurate this list is. Edit: From Haven 54 I'm Outta Love - Anastacia [6] 227,000 [would've sold a bit more in 2001] 126 One Day In Your Life – Anastacia [11]85,000 7. Anastacia - 'Left Outside Alone' 275,000 94. Anastacia - 'Sick And Tired' 62,000- Scream 4 | 15.4.11
Really reminded me of the 90s! I loved that they modernised it but still kept all the camp trademarks of the original. The whole OTT, stupid, dramatic way is what Scream is all about. It doesn't take itself seriously and ridicules the slasher genre as a result. It was better than 3 but way below the classic status of 1 and 2. I didn't really feel any of the new characters bar Kirby who was surprisingly quite good. Also so did not expect the twist at the end :o I am a bit concerned about its performance though. I live in Cambridge so it's not a huge indication but the cinema was practically empty in the middle of the afternoon on the second day of release. Yikes.- iTunes Chart: April 2011 (II)
Much rather have Wretch at #1. It's decentish. LMFAO is the worst #1 of the year and we were doing so well too - iTunes Chart: April 2011 (II)
Twenty Twenty and that Starboy song should do decentish as they're supporting The Wanted on tour according to my sister. Surprised Judas isn't #1 already. I don't think its groundbreaking at all but more in vain of her older stuff than BTW.- iTunes Chart: April 2011 (II)
TBH nothing against Beyonce. She can bring out some great tracks but the clip I've heard of this new one sounds dreadful. I expect it to smash though. Whether it's #1 or not I be unsure.- 'Judas' ● 2nd Single
I personally only care for the chorus and middle-eight. So damn infectious! Not sure on the rest of it yet. It seems like she's taken elements of her other hits and patched them together awkwardly to make this [the Jud-ah/Gaga business from BR and the chorus sounds like it's going to burst into Paparazzi ] 9/10 though.- iTunes Chart: April 2011 (II)
At the risk of being lynched the S&M remix is foul. A pretty decent, anthemic song ruined by what sounds like a wailing robot-banshee lovechild. Britney really is awful :( Heck even Rihanna doesn't sound as good as she does on the original.- The Vampire Diaries
Great return though and I found Damon hiding the moon stone in his soap holder hilarious. It's so out of character, it makes a great hiding spot.- EastEnders
She's 14 years old! I actually thought she was older and couldn't understand Max's reaction but then my housemate reminded me she isn't legal. As much as Abi Branning sucks both as an actress and character, I do think the storyline is a nice way of commenting on underage sex and that not all older guys have to be sexual deviants. Whilst a little OTT, Max's reaction was fairly plausible tbh considering the character and the situation. That crash was so dramatic though! A death is needed yus. And I'm also very glad this baby swap business is over. Both Ronnie and Kat are so annoying these days. Fantastic acting from both throughout the storyline but I just can't put up with anymore of it  I'm hoping the reveal is excellent. And I feel so sorry for Jane lately. Laurie is a gorgeous woman and the character is wonderful. She deserves so much better than Ian Beale and I honestly thought for a moment during their scene in the church, she'd be sucked back in by him as she's been so low recently, but she still rejected him - Your most hated song of the year... so far
Parade - Louder. How on Earth they got top 10 is beyond me. Hideous. Also Sweat, Buzzin', Down On Me The new LMFAO song. Nothing else really. There's plenty more tracks I wouldn't listen to out of choice but they don't bring me out in a wave of fury. I've liked all the #1s so far this year too which is odd for me.- adeles success
Perry can sing live. I have seen and heard for myself and it completly changed my opinion. And who cares what Estelle thinks? Nobody outside of Buzzjack even remembers or cares who that bint is. Sorry nothing against you, I just had to nitpick the Perry thing :P I totally agree that the X Factor and the fact that she has had pretty flawless promotion and the overall quality of the tracks have increased tenfold are contributing factors.- The Ultra Girls
VILE in every sense of the word. It's a massive step backwards for the sound of the girlband. We really do need Girls Aloud or the *decent* Sugababes back to show them how it's done. I was studying yesterday and this video appeared on the music channels quite a few times sadly. I honestly thought it was another FHM joke.- Pilot season 2011-2012
I'm liking the sound of Alcatraz and all these fairytale themed dramas sound interesting. There's quite a few shows I am waiting for actually! Seems the networks are finally trying to air more supernatural/science-fiction stuff. I'm hoping Ringer gets picked up just to see Sarah Michelle Gellar back on tv again. She plays a woman on the run who takes the identity of her twin sister who is also in trouble with the same organisation. I can't see CBS going for it unless she's actually an undercover cop for NCIS or something but it sounds different. Oooh also Poe. I love his work and I don't really imagine Chris Egan in the role at all tbh. I don't even think he's a good actor :/ I can see what seems like a promising premise on paper being $h!t. Hallejulah sounds awesome. Are they keeping the whole Greek chorus element does anybody know? I read a lot of articles mentioning it but any as of late seem to have not included it. Finally Secret Circle on The CW, merely because it's from the creators of The Vampire Diaries and the woman who wrote the book series too, so I'm hoping for good things. TVD is one of those rare shows that continues to exceed itself and the fact it fits between Twilight and True Blood but yet maintains its own identity is also what I like about it. There's probably more and I'm rambling but I'm excited about ACTUAL TV shows I may watch compared with the awful freshmen class of this season where nothing appealed to me at all. And I agree that we need more empowered females back on TV and not remake-women! They need to lure Kirsten Bell back to a new television series imo.- iTunes Chart: March 2011 (III)
I doubt E.T will do anything until the video comes out. At her concert the other night, they had little flyers up about the video premiering 31.03.11. I'm tired of SLY now but the rest of 21 is still fantastic and fully deserves it continued success.- New Release Schedule (March 20)
Is it me or is there virtually nothing out for the next couple of months or so? :( Singles-wise anyway. - Renewal//Cancelation 2011 || FOX, NBC + ABC cancel pg15/16
