I didn't think it was that bad. Despite my housemate whittling all the way through on her 'Gypsies destroyed the farmlands' vendetta. TBH there is a lot wrong with them. They don't pay tax and they're obviously involved in dodgy dealings because christ - the dresses must cost a good 10 grand and that couple were looking at 'caravans' for £6000 odd. But they were a lot different than I've always perceived them to be. They've become more modernised and at the end of the day, the way they see the world and the morals and values they have are no different to all the religious nutjobs out there. TBH I just felt they were chavs in motorhomes.
  2. It's no wonder the chart is plagued with American artists when this is the best our once great nation has to offer for the year. Anywayz I'd like Tinie Tempah to win shockingly as it really grew on me and was just so different to everything else in the same genre last year. I'd rather have Florence but that song choice is not to my taste. Dog Days was far more spectacular in comparison. As for the win I think it'll be The Wanted.
  3. The next big Glee song will probably be 'Teenage Dream' which is in the episode that'll air on Valentine's Day I think. I personally found the songs in this episode bar Toxic to be horrific [as was the episode as a whole really]. The 2nd season has been really meh so far. I'm pleased that Avril will at least be top 40 considering the bad start it had. Hopefully it'll rise in coming weeks but who knows.

  5. I don't see why The CW would let Supernatural go. It's doing amazingly for them on a Friday night [better than all the trash they put on in the week bar Vampire Diaries I think]. And with Smallville ending [not cancelled, they're wrapping it up] they'd be silly to leave two huge holes on one night. I personally cba with it anymore. :( I'm not too fussed really about shows this year It's been a pretty naff year especially for new shows.

Starts this Sunday at 21:00 on BBC3. [source: A text from my muvva/Oh and http://www.bbc.co.uk/beinghuman/]
  7. I think what you're saying is certainly true of the current chart climate but not 5 years and more ago when peaks were important because tracks bombed down the charts faster than a whore's knickers. I personally don't think it's a shame if a song misses the top 10 now because they don't need to make it to be classified as a hit or whatever. Yeah it looks nicer on an artist's discography to say they've had X top 10 singles but at the end of the day, can anybody even remember songs that missed the top 10 in 2004? 2002? etc whereas now a lot of tracks that DO go on to become quite well known hits don't essentially have to grab the elusive #1 spot. For example the likes of Train who get a #18 peak but sell more than a quarter of a million copies, more than some #1s have managed. I'm sure songs like 'Hey Soul Sister', 'Love The Way You Lie', 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved', 'Tik Tok', 'Hot N Cold', 'Single Ladies' yadda yadda will be remembered in a decade's time. Some people even now can't remember that Dizzee Rascal had a #1 last year for god's sake
  8. It makes sense if they plan on releasing E.T with Tinie Tempah. A duet with Rihanna would be pretty epic though! The era has been so massive for her it'd make sense to milk it for all its worth.
  9. Been doing my chart for ages but never really have time to post it but had spare time so thought what the hell! I have nothing against Robson Green [as an actor anyway]. I just found it a bit random  As far as I know it's the exact same as the UK version. I haven't read anything in great detail about it or dare to watch though...
  11. As long as they NEVER include airplay in the official singles chart this is the best news we've had in a long while. Would that be why they bought Britney forward then?

I've seen the fantastic trailer for this on BBC3 so many damn times lately but they just end it with the ominous 'Coming Soon'. Absolutely love the premise and the first two series were some of the best episodes of a British drama I've personally watched in years tbh. Hideous US remake aside, anybody else looking forward to Series 3? :D Er8gpUMXNeI http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Media/Pix/pictures/2010/6/21/1277120477115/Being-Human-Lacey-Turner--006.jpg
  13. I don't think its the end of the girlband. They're just on a bit of a downward spiral atm. It was the same a few years back when there was a lack of boybands and the likes of Girls Aloud, Sugababes etc dominated the manufactured pop market. These ones are pretty damn awful though especially Wonderland :/
  14. I'm appalled. The more I listen to this song, the more I love it. Don't rule it out yet. It's not as hyped as Britney's comeback has been. I doubt many people in the UK even know she has new material out on iTunes yet tbh. I'm hoping when video/airplay starts it'll pick up and get a decentish peak. I of course could still be wrong and if that's the case I will refrain from making anymore excuses

I like the new Britney song, I just feel I am going to go off it due to all the loons on here. I'm very disappointed with who Avril's been handled so far. The record companies need to learn that the UK is not like the US.

I must be the only one who still loathes Glenda. I found last night's episode the worst in quite a few months tbh. Tracey though <3 Such pain :(
  17. I take back what I posted earlier. The Britney episode of Glee will air on Monday... Could have a small effect on the new song.

They've really messed up Ke$ha haven't they  So if the news about tracks being released digitally to coincide with their radio release - does this mean Avril could be out on Sunday? :o
  19. Britney will definately be #1 but I am not sure it will be next week. Bruno or Ke$ha me thinks. I just don't think HIAM has had enough time to build up airplay etc yet, it'd surely be performing on word of mouth that it's been released? I'm unsure :/ It should certainly be top 5 though.

Anyone else think that Glee is just bleh nowdays? :( I still watch it but it doesn't leave me with that warm fuzzy feeling insde. Too many tributes and special episodes and truckloads of guest stars and the characters themselves are all over the place.
  21. I'd assume collabarations aren't included as Bruno Mars would be a LOT higher... So Rihanna sold the most records combined last year then :o Never thought that would be the case 5 years ago :heehee:
  22. GrAmii posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
Are you sure Katona didn't choose that song to try and manipulate us all into trying to like her again? :drama: I'm sure Bruno's lead is only gigantic due to the general sales decrease we had last week?
  23. It's her best song since 'Everytime', which isn't hard to achieve considering what's been put out since then... I quite like it. It sounds like everything else around atm which will work to its advantage but I can see this being a pretty decent era for her. I wouldn't rule out #1 if it has little competition but top 3 is likely.
  24. These 16 songs are SO much better than the typical BuzzJack final selection. Thanks for doing this though Jack ^_^ 01 B.o.B. ft. Hayley Williams - Airplanes 02 Owl City - Fireflies 03 Katy Perry - Teenage Dream 04 Ellie Goulding - Starry Eyed 05 Cee-Lo Green - f*** You 06 Eliza Doolittle - Pack Up 07 Ellie Goulding - Your Song 08 Glee Cast - Don't Stop Believin' 09 Tinie Tempah - Written In The Stars 10 Enrique Iglesias ft. Pitbull - I Like It

Bloody Adele -_- I think Glee will make a splash in the top 40 this week too.
