    414,000. :)

England and Ireland aside, do Westlife even sell internationally?
  3. I'm sorry but I'm not against Katie. I do think she's a dreadful singer and VERY fake but I accept that the public made the decision this week. It's just Cowell and I find it all so wrong and I just genuinly think that people should move on from this wreck of a TV show and stop being manipulated by it. Wagner to win.
  4. Never watching this farce AGAIN.
  5. Keep Your Head Up made me laugh and reminded me that Girls Can't Catch actually existed. I don't agree with this album though if I'm perfectly honest.

  7. It's a brilliant show to watch but I don't think there's a person I know who doesn't believe it's a fix... It's just so damn annoying and Louis Walsh is the most repulsive creature ever created by our lord and saviour.
  8. It wasn't deadlock. Dermot said it would be majority wins after Cheryl refused to vote. Or loses in this case.
  9. Just proves why Dannii Minogue is fantastic and Walsh and Cowell are inbred arseholes. Cowell clearly states Treyc is the better singer but chooses the whore because she will bring in more press coverage and viewers for his nasty little pantomine. And well anything that comes out of Walsh's mouth is bull$h!t. I liked Treyc's voice and thought she was a decent contestant but she really was background fodder. I just wish she wasn't another casualty of that horrific Katie monstrotity. They've tried and tried to make her out to be likeable and all cute etc but nobody is buying it. Why has she been in the bottom two three/four times now? Haven't they realised that the public just don't like this girl? I really think as long as the judges have the power she will keep survivng until she ends up in the bottom two with a real powerhouse like Matt/Cher/Rebecca.

Platinum is 70,000 in Australia right? Taylor sold that much? Or is it shippments? I wasn't aware their weekly album tallies were so high.

I only think they'll get a week at the top but they should have a more stable chart run than some #1s this year.
  12. I wouldn 't miss Mary, Wagner, Katie or TreyC tbh. They've all never stood out or have lost the spark of what made them interesting in the first place. As for the Weasel - last night was the only good song she's ever performed and that was horrific at best. It's a five horse race this year and the next couple of weeks are going to see those four [and eventually Paije] cleared out.

I am with Bray and think 200k at least. The album is clearly going to be the second fastest seller ever behind Oasis, I'm quite certain. I think we all forget how special helplines had to be set up back in the 90s when they broke up :heehee:

So the real question is.... how many copies will 'The Flood' sell? :P

Can't believe how massive Take That are going to be. LOVE the song.

Aiden has reminded me of Adam Lambert for some time actually! I think it was their eerily similar Mad World performances that sealed the deal... I do think we will have 5 big stars from this series regardless of which one triumphs [Cher, Aiden, One Direction, Rebecca and Matt]. I wouldn't be surprised if all got record deals somewhere.
  17. Cher - It lacked her usual oomph. Even though I don't normally like her she always has a strong presence and this song just felt rather lazy and relaxed. Still pretty good and much better than her earlier performances. Loved the random street chav who embraced her towards the end. 7/10 Mary - I am bored of Mary. Like many in the competition, the novelty has worn off. This was extremely flat throughout and made me cringe. Such a shame for such a talented singer and a song that she should've destroyed [in a wonderful way] 3/10 Katie - She looked like Nicola Roberts and Sarah Jessica Parker had a love child tonight. Loved the hair for the first time. Just was a bit uneasy with the vocals. The song suited her voice perfectly but she struggled to make it through the chorus. 6/10 Aiden - I am so happy he is back and fighting. After the amazing Mad World, I rather felt he'd lost it but the past two weeks have been solid and tonight even more so. He is so raw and was flawless. You can so tell he's been coached to smile more, but it just made his awkward facial expressions even more awesome ha. 10/10 Rebecca - I am so bored of her getting dreary songs with hardly any life to them. She is a f***ing amazing talent and needs something different. Upbeat? A big ballad? A more RnB number? Anything but these hideous soul things she gets lumbered with. Nasty track aside, she was fautless as usual. 9/10 Paije - For the first time I actually liked the guy. It was entertaining and I loved his movements. He has fun and becomes more of a popstar each week. Wasn't that keen on the Outkast bit but loved the rest. 7/10 Wagner - Bored now. It was horrific. He is a person is still hilarious but Louie is trying to make him sing more 'serious' songs and that's not what Wagner is about. 2/10 Matt - The song sucks and has been done to death but I can't seem to fault this guy at all. He is becoming a bit one trick pony though that doesn't matter when you have THAT voice and THAT much passion and soul when you perform. 9/10 Trey C - She struggled a bit but was pretty much spot on. She just doesn't stand out and I wasn't moved in the slightest. 6/10 One Direction - The ethnic one's little wail made my day  Other than that I do admit they blend well as a group and a couple of them are good singers. They're just so arrogant and annoying and for some reason I get the impression they smell of feet. I dunno why. The performance was GAY and felt like Glee, High School Musical and every American teenage cliche had been stuck in a blender. 6/10

How on Earth is Aiden copying Joe? Yes they look similar but musically they are miles apart :/ I personally think Aiden is the best this year. Will he win? No. Matt, Rebecca, One Direction and Cher are all far stronger in terms of combination of talent/support even I can see that... As for the bottom two I expect any combination of TreyC/Katie/Wagner/Paije and even Mary is in danger really after that shoddy performance tonight.

    I'm thinking 01 - Take That 02 - Rihanna 03 - Katy Perry 04 - Cheryl Cole 05 - P!nk 08 Shayne Ward 13 McFly 18 MCR Not heard of C&S or Gyptian but I'm guessing top 40 for both maybe higher?
  20. Leave the Dirty Dancing song alone! That's such a guilty pleasure of mine. However, it is completly irrelevant and horrible in this song. It sounds like a cheesier, messier and totally random version of 'Boom Boom Pow' which in itself was rather schizophrenic, yet at the same time there is something about it that makes it GOOD. :(
  21. I think this week might be the first week I get bored of Matt. I hate that song :( It's been done so many times and isn't even that good. Same goes for 'Make You Feel My Love'. Watch Adele shoot back up the chart again grrrr. I can't wait to hear Aiden :D He was a bit shaky in the first couple of weeks after 'Mad World' but he turned it around last week. He really needs something outstanding or he will be outsted by Rebecca, One Direction, Matt and Cher methinks. If it's a double eviction I predict Wagner and TreyC/Katie/Paije to go out. Wagner is so OVER now. It's not even funny anymore :( Katie doing an actual PROPER song for once shopuld be interesting too. I want to like her but I just can't but maybe she will win me over like Cher did last week. Cheryl seems to have chosen a song that suits her voice anyway. And finally ONE MASSIVE KELSEY SIZED  at One Direction.

The Pogues losing out to The Pet Shop Boys Always On My Mind :o I do love that song but it's a shame The Pogues have never been #1 - ditto for Wham! and Mariah considering their massive popularity.

I also hope P!nk can at least scrape top 5 next week. I've hardly heard/seen anything about it ANYWHERE which worries me. I'm sure the Greatest Hits will shift bucketloads though.

Nadine Coyle - the evil hag that tried to kill Cinderella [Cheryl Cole]. Now all we need is Sarah Harding to pop up from obscurity to play the Fairy Godmother and Nicola to be the pumpkin that gets turned into Cheryl's carriage taking her all the way to American domination. I'm not being cruel btw - I do think it's a combination of Nadine's awful and outdated song, the Tescos exclusive business, lack of promotion and the fact that the media are a bit harsh on her that has caused her to underperform. Like it or not, it's not just talent that makes it in the industry and Cheryl has the high profile, weekly promotion, better material and countless coloumn inches to her advantage. And Promise This pwns Insatiable.

The Christmas chart is now mainly an homeage to The X Factor :( Moreso than the weeks leading up to it. Songs performed on the final, acts who appear on the final. Acts that use the audience viewership to have a stupid 'audience' with show straight after it, crappy campaigns to try and beat the X Factor without realising they are doing the exact same thing as said show... That's all that makes up the Xmas chart now :( I loved 2003. The songs were a bit naff but it had so many contenders [bo Selecta!, Darkness, Atomic Kitten, Blue, Cheeky Girls, Mad World, Sugababes, Kelly & Ozzy, Pop Idols etc]. That was the last truly awesome Xmas chart battle imo.
