  1. I'm sorry but this is just terrible. I'm all for another campaign if the song is actually decent. I can see the irony here yes, but still :/
  2. Don't see how Rihanna could be called unlucky. Most artists would kill to have 10 hits peak within the top 2...
  3. I thought Bowie hated The X Factor. This is going to be horrific isn't it? :(

I wasn't going to comment and I'm sorry but I find that very rude and just sterotyping because the stories of students drinking always makes the papers. 95% of the students I know work extremely hard myself included, both at uni and holding down jobs for 16 hours a week and maybe even more. We need the extra help from the government/tax payers because some people would never be able to afford it or have any chance of carving a better future for themselves. It's not ideal no, but I at least work my arse off doing a $h!tty job at Sainsbury's which I hate to try and get by. If anything I go out drinking once a week and me and my housemates occasionally enjoy a night out in the week as well. And I personally think this rise in fees is disgusting. I was under the impression they wanted more people to go to university to increase job prospects? Well I feel that this is only going to put people off because I wrestled for a good couple of years over the idea of getting into debt. For the current fees it's just about worth it but I can see some institutions [Warwick cough cough] becoming extremely greedy. There needs to be some change though as so many degrees are worthless. Geography for one! I know many people who have just finished and it's been a waste because they have a degree in a poor subject and are just back at home with mum and dad and doing the job they were holding down during their studies full time. A complete revision of the system is needed. Things such as charging different fees depending for different courses and a better loans system [as the current one is so incompetent]. These would be more beneificial than this proposal.

Don't think Leon Jackson managed 50k in his first week? Might need to check that out... Posner in the top 10!!! AWESOME.

Someone Wake Me Up in Jan 2011 and the album a week later would help Joe more but I guess the Christmas market is more desirable. I can't see The Wanted getting a #1 album - The Saturdays don't exactly sell buckets in that department despite having lots of singles success. I honestly think Kings Of Leon will just stay #1 that week. Not a fan of Duck Sauce at all. Will definately be interesting over the next couple of weeks as I don't see anything new being strong enough to challenge for #1 next week. Vickers & The Wanted should both get top 5 though.

Shame about Joe. Surprised Pixie, Tings and Buble aren't higher either. Would've thought all would be high in the top 10 [well at least the first three]. Instead we have a song about good old Babs Streisand which well it isn't very good imo but there you go... Should be good sales though ^_^
  8. The album sounds like Mika and Scissor Sisters discarded tonnes of tracks from their recording sessions and Cowell went scavenging. Very disappointing but totally different to what I expected he would release when he first won. I think 'Someone Wake Me Up', 'Don't Let The Stars Run Out' and 'Superstar' [it is amazing despite being a cover], are obvious follow up singles here, but I will reserve full judgement until I can hear more than just the clips. The rest range from average to downright absurd. http://www.7digital.com/artists/joe-mcelderry/wide-awake/
  9. Cowell really likes washed up has beens doesn't he :o [Whitney, Mariah and now Christina Aguilera].

New ranking 01 Aiden Grimshaw 02 Rebecca Ferguson 03 Matt Cardle 04 Mary Byrne 05 TreyC Cohen 06 Cher Lloyd [God help me it wasn't that bad] 07 Wagner [For he is Godly and must win just to highlight what a joke this show has become] - The 'We Suck Balls Crowd' - 08 Diva Fever 09 Paije Richardson 10 One Direction 11 Storm Lee 12 Belle Ami [How dare they slaughter 'Airplanes'. Very disappointing] 13 John 14 Katie Weasel [i hated her before the backlash :P]

I love how the top 2 are tracks that have been out for a couple of weeks already  Joe's performance was very bad tonight. I couldn't work out if it was mimed or live or both. Plus good God he sounds gayer everytime I hear him speak. It was like lisp-o-rama.
  12. Wagner to win X Factor 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jeremy is the sex <3 Easily the best looking guy in the show. Is anybody else not even missing Bonnie & Matt? The lack of them last week was annoying but the story is so gripping, I didn't even seem to notice this week. Loved the episode anyway. Caroline is truly amazing. I'm so glad they gave her more to do because she was VERY dull last year and one of my least favourite characters. Katherine is the best TV villain we have had in a long time.
  14. Am thinking Wagner/Diva Fever/Katie/John could be getting the chop. That said Belle Ami were horrific. I thought they were fantastic up until the point they decided to massacre 'Airplanes'. Aiden and Mary were the stand out for me. I love Rebecca but was very disappointed with her song choice tbh. She delivered it flawlessly obviously but i just felt it was 'safe'. Nicolo is one of my favourites but I think it's the curse of Fannii Minogue and her decision to pick awful song choices on occasion. It was more homo-karaoke but his personality is still fantastic.

The chart is insane atm! So much moving and climbing around. Massive sales :o I really want Joe to get high up before TXF but I doubt it now... I just really like the song and him. I never expected him to be as huge as Leona or Alexandra but still...

I think Mike Posner will be this year's Tik Tok/Hot N Cold. One of those 4th quarter hits that doesn't reach the top 3 but sells very consistantly.

I'm sorry but as awful as Brookstein was he has sold FAR more than Maria Lawson  Also Shayne Ward atm has just about outsold Alexandra Burke and JLS [they'll overtake him by the end of the year depending on how his new album sells].
  18. Wagner reminds me of Beetlejuice. I;d have been $h!t scared had he been my P.E teacher

The Smiths easily. Bar that one amazing song [ATTSS] tATu were dreadful. Though I also like the version by LoveSpitLove which was used as the theme tune to Charmed.

Big week: 8th Nov Alesha Dixon - Baddest Chick B.o.B feat Rivers Cuomo – Magic Diana Vickers - My Wicked Heart Eminem feat Lil' Wayne - No Love Mike Posner - Cooler Than Me My Chemical Romance - Na Na Na (Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na) P!nk - Raise Your Glass Shayne Ward - Gotta Be Somebody Tinchy Stryder feat Taio Cruz – Second Chance Westlife – Safe Absolutely love the track though. Instant smash on first listen. I like how it is classic P!nk but at the same time still manages to sound completly fresh and unique. Imma thinking top 3.

01 Rebecca Ferguson - Easily the best singer out of all 12 but her personality is lacking. Maybe that's just because of her zero self confidence but I like a singer to have the entire package and if she just delivers ballad after ballad in the finals I may tire of her but for now she is my favourite. 02 Nicolo Festa - I think he sings fantastically and he just cracks me up. He's such a diva and probably won't get very far or ever be heard from again after this show, but I personally feel he ticks all the boxes. 03 Aiden Grimshaw - I actually love the three guys Dannii put through which is a first for me! He reminds me of Joe McElderry A LOT which isn't a bad thing and he doesnt' seem like estatic he got through which hints at a bit of cockiness but he has a gorgeous voice that will take him far imo. 04 Belle Amie - They are actually one of the best girlbands vocally I have heard on The X Factor ever and dare I say better than most that have attempted to break the charts. And that's just from one performance. I think the legend that is Sinitta was spot on with her comment about them. 05 Mary Byrne - Here is somebody who I feel has a great voice for ballads and a wonderful personality. She's instantly likeable and doesn't take herself too seriously. I don't think this is the right sort of competition for her though. 06 Matt Cardle - I like him but I'm not overwhelmed by him. 07 F.Y.D - Not sure I quite get them but they're definately talented and not a predictable boyband. 08 1Direction - They're too pretty boy for me, but they worked well together so I'm not going to knock them. 09 Storm Lee - The last one I really dislike. He has a great voice but a very unlikeable personality. 10 Cher Lloyd - Sorry she's not dreadful but I fail to see the fascination at all. 11 John Adeleye - Bland. He's so inoffensive and only got through because the rest of his category was so dreadful. 12. Katie Waissel - Nuff said. Disgusting creature.

And I'd select: Boys Aidan Matt Nicolo Girls Rebecca Gamu Anastasia Groups Belle Ami 1 Direction FYD Overs Mary Storm No idea on the last one :/

I agree. Their comments [whilst being the usual stereotypical $h!t] seem to be a lot more geared to personality this year. 'She's rather dull', 'will people pick up the phone and vote for him?', 'he doesn't have anything going for him outside of his voice' etc. It's not right imo but of course this show is never fair and is all based on manipulation. They obviously want as many nut-jobs/idiots or people who will divide public opinion to go through to the final as possible - at the expense of the remaining contestants that actually have a grain of talent. I don't think the girls are that strong if the rumoured 3 are true. I can't see Cher being able to adapt to the different themed weeks. She's already attempted to give the exact same type of performance three times and that Katie creature is just an abomination. I honestly think one of the boys or groups are going to win this year. Mary may be a dark horse but previous experience concerning the older singers says that won't happen - but I have a feeling the public would hate Storm as well
  24. I think: California Gurls Airplanes Love The Way You Lie OMG Fireflies Dynamite We No Speak Americano Rude Boy Bad Romance Not all #1s there but they're clearly the biggest international hits from 2010. I agree with Hitstastic that Tinie Tempah etc are pretty much of the moment and whilst 'Pass Out' will possibly be remembered I don't think anybody outside hardcore chart fans will remember anything else by him... Telephone, I think will be remembered more for the video than the actual song and the rest of those #1s are pretty lame. As for 2000 I think the following are bonafide classics: Pure Shores [whoever said no is silly as this is always played on radio and used on TV and is still extremely popular] Never Be The Same Again Groovjet Rock DJ Stan Can't Fight The Moonlight Ooops! I Did It Again

I would have a tiny scrap of my faith in the UK public restored if 'Shame' doesn't make #1 :D Top 3 is still certain though sadly. Surprised Kings Of Leon haven't shot up faster. Don't think this era will be as huge for them.
