  1. Surely with her album out it will impact it? Though I would guess the album will suffer due to the climate and the cherry picking aspect.

I'm impressed and pleased for Brandon. I've bored of the track a bit now but it's a deserving top 10 hit.

  2. The Wanted have had 1 single ffs! Once again the idiocy and shallowness of Buzzjack shines through :/

  3. He pisses all over Leon Jackson. I think there's something extremely likeable and adorable about him and plus he has a great voice. If the material isn't just lifeless ballads and karaoke covers he may do quite well.

I wouldn't be surprised if he had a very successful lead single and decent selling album and then faded into theatre or some such.

He won't get a #1 album though as he's up against Kings Of Leon.

I enjoy Ghost Whisperer. It’s more TV that is there to just chill out to than something I can really become addicted to like Buffy. Medium is good from what I have seen and I need to watch more episodes. I like the premise even if I’m unsure about the lead actress.

Angel is a fantastic series that although is not as good as Buffy it certainly is its own show. It relies too heavily on the connection to Buffy for its first season but as it progresses it creates its own mythology and becomes a lot darker and I personally found some of the later seasons to be much more consistent than Buffy’s even if the writers did butcher the Cordelia character.

Just been watching The OC again. I enjoy the balance between the cast but there are just so many episodes that are repetitive or where nothing really happens. I guess that’s the whole point of a teen drama but I still prefer Dawson’s Creek to it.

Being Human is a show I’ve only recently began to enjoy and one of the few British programmes I actually bother with.

Love also to Supernatural. I recommend you watch it if you haven’t before. The first 4 seasons all manage to top the predecessor before the 5th is a huge letdown but bleh.

Buffy deserved #1. I’m bias but I don’t care. The fact they write billions of academic essays on the themes etc proves it’s more than just a run of the mill, generic TV series and I honestly believe it made the idea of a heroic female lead in a drama series more appealing considering all the shows with the same premise that popped up around the same time and since [Charmed, Joan of Arcadia, Tru Calling etc]. There's obviously better vampire media out there but Buffy always spoke to me on so many different levels. It may have been a world about supernatural creatures but it had real life angst and issues alongside that, that I could relate to.

Scrubs was delightful though a bit repetitive towards the end. It’s one of those shows that specialises in a certain type of humour and as of such can only appeal to a specific market.

Mmmmhmmm. Thanks for the results so far. ^_^

  5. It seems interesting and I am going to watch the show still but if it doesn't pick up then I'm going to jump ship and I rarely do that with a TV show no matter how bad it gets [Heroes excluded]. I'm just still very disappointed about the horrible mess that was Season 5. I believe it was all changed at the last minute because they saw the opportunity to make more episodes and rushed around to try and make something that would be able to be continued.

Negativity aside and the premise etc of Season 6 does sound promising.

  6. This is all the info I have managed to gather about Season 6 from a decent and official source:

    - Ben Edlund is pleased with the direction for season six, impressed that they’ve all figured out a way to go.

    - There will be a deep role reversal between the brothers. Dean is carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders with his family, while a disenfranchised Sam comes back and is all business about hunting. Sam will be pretty unsettled.

    - In his words, the brothers will continue “their love/hate relationship based on a very troubled history.”

    - Jared was next and man did he drop spoilers. Jaw droppers. Sam doesn’t know how or why he was brought back. They won’t dig into his experiences in Hell until around episode 9 or 10. Sam was brought back but didn’t hook up with Dean right away. He lets Dean live his life and goes on hunting without telling him he’s alive. There are definite changes in Sam’s personality. Sam eventually reunites with Dean because a monster that was after Sam goes after Dean. He won’t talk about what happened to him. He’s all business and doesn’t want to question how he got out.

    - Eric Kripke revealed that they will be bringing back all sorts of monster, including a Djinn and Vampires. Something has happened to cause these monsters to act strangely and abnormally. They aren’t following their usual patterns.

    - Eric may not be the showrunner, but he is still very much involved with the show and working the stories. They are working out episode nine right now. They’ve written up to episode five.

    - Jim Beaver said that the Crowley demon deal gets full attention in episode four, the one Jensen directed. He wouldn’t hint on the resolution, but it’s all about that.

    - Bobby is indeed affected by the events of the apocalypse and Bobby is determined to become a stronger person.

    - Jensen is really excited that the reset button has been set on the show and that they are starting over. He is a big fan of season one and pleased to see them going back to that tone.

    - Castiel won’t appear until the third episode of the season. They are getting ready to shoot that.

    - Jensen said that Dean isn't driving the Impala! It's under a tarp in the garage.

    - Jensen said that he approached directing based on advice from Kim Manners. He did his homework. He found the process very tough.

    - There is a montage in the first ep of Dean in his normal life, going to bed with Lisa, driving the truck to the construction job, etc.

    - Sam comes back and starts hunting without asking questions, leaves Dean to live his normal life until a problem forces them together.

    - The premise of season six is monsters will be surfacing and acting strangely. There will be a Djinn early on.

    - Sera Gamble said that there will be a funny Vampire episode where vampires start coming out in the day an acting different than before.

    - The working title of that episode is "Live Free and Twi Hard."

  9. It's a very good video. [Em&Ri] It puts the message of the song into a much larger perspective I think. Plus Rihanna's hair is gorge <33

I'm not sure it'll make it to #1 here but it's already done over 300k. I think it's going to be one of the best sellers of the year.

  10. Alesha Dixon stands no chance of top 5 let alone #1. I hope. I pray. Alex's song is far better and that's saying something! :heehee:

I hope she does release The Silence though. A big XF performance would certainly help it, though I wonder if they shouldn't go with a new ballad instead as an extra lure to make people want to buy the reissused album.

  11. I guess EE has Lucasgate to thank for that...

Also surprised that Karate Kid trash has done so well at the Box Office. I was repulsed when my dad downloaded it and subjected me to watching it. Dreadful movie that should've been left well alone. The same could be said for the A Team franchise, though I haven't had the pleasure of seeing that one yet.

  12. Oooohkay. I'm actually thinking #2 for this behind Dynamite. The release schedule looks bare up to that week so the chart may be due a turnover. I don't expect it to hang around long though and I'd rather it missed the top 40 because it's horrendous.

Such a comedown from a promising artist.

  13. Interesting, thanks for posting vidcapper.

The #1 being double the #2 in 2004 looks odd - is there something underlying that (e.g. a plethora of charity singles) in 2004?

I'd guess Band Aid 20? Eamon also sold quite well.

Sales just dropped off so massively week on week though back then

    Thanks for this Vidcapper.

  14. I love seeing Footloose in there  I love the musical version sooooo much <333

Ne-Yo is OK but nothing special. I hope neither Tinchy Stryder or The Saturdays get #1 next week though. Awful records and the worst either has released so far.
