I smell a whiff of people jumping on the Airplanes bandwagon though... I first discovered Paramore in 2006 when I heard their song Emergency. Support from Kerrang!, an infectious single in Misery Business and a slot on the Twilight film soundtrack later and they are one of the biggest bands around. Hayley Williams is the throaty voiced, stunning red-haired vocalist of the band and though their material gets a bit repetitive, I think she's a solid talent. Do listen to the video. Her eccentric nature and rather violent personality, bizarre dress sense and ability to chuck any genre she so wishes into the musical pool could give Gaga a run for her money anyday. Bjork may not be a massive success but she's definitely contributed to shaping the face of music and is one of the most diverse and outrageous female artists out there. I'd love to see what goes on in that head of hers :( I recommend the albums Post, Homogenic & Vespertine if you're thinking of getting into her music.
