I haven't been so bored since well my 'Tragedy' seminar at 9am this morning...

 

It's a nice enough song but more album track material than 'massive comeback'.

I'm not hating on it as it is quite beautiful. I'm just not feeling it as a single right now.

I can count at least 5 songs in the 11-20 region that would be much better than all of the crap in the ten. Can only tolerate Kylie from that section...

 

Still at least some tracks have I like have sold well.

Surely Will Young's 'Evergreen' or 'Candle In The Wind' would have the largest gap with their respective #2s?

 

I think the Nash one is closest unless you want to count the tie break you mentioned.

The 'New Moon' soundtrack is being released too early imo.

Didn't think Buble would beat Whitney. Have to see how that one pans out.

It deserves to flop but it'll make it between #4 & #6ish.

Purely because of the hype around the lineup change.

 

Seriously, I hope they fade into obscurity after this. I used to love them but I just find the whole swap shop routine pathetic. And Jade Ewen ffs?

It's erm. I think it sounds a bit dodgier now it's been 'polished'. The verses are a bit naff but the chorus is incredible.

I actually like the album though it's patchy in places. Hope it at least scrapes the top 10 though. I'm sure Alexandra, Whitney and Buble will hold the top 3 though. Be interesting to see how far The Editors fall. :heehee:

I'm worried that Cobra Starship are not top ten yet! I may download it, even though I already have it...

I guess if they and Alphabeat/YSR aren't in by this time tomorrow they won't have much of a chance.

I Just saw Lloyd's performance from last night. Nice. He has a lot of potential I think. Agree with what Fannii said about him having to push himself though. Not the best in the competition...

I'm excited about seeing Cheryl perform. Don't get me wrong, I love the song & hope it gets to #1 but she is just a joke, trying to be all 'hip' in the video :lol: The performance will be very fun indeed.

A lot of Will Young's songs from what I gather don't refer to either a man or a woman. They're ambiguous so can be taken either way which I think is better.

I don't actually mind Shayne Ward. It's not his looks cos he looks like a battered chipmunk, but his music isn't as terrible as some of the $h!t we have to listen to.

I don't find Moyer attractive tbh and I usually like dark haired guys. I just find the character to be so boring. Maybe it's the acting but I dunno, can't place my finger on it.

I wouldn't rule out Cheryl's pack of pretty boys giving Dannii a run for her money. Grannies and teenage girls the nation over will vote for them and those twin abominations in droves. Leon? I can't see Alexandra not being #1 tbh. Robbie's album will be massive regardless.

I wonder if La Roux was all hot and pretty would the reaction be different? :lol:

 

I am 50/50 tbh. Boots has slightly more that I like but she just seems void of personality whilst La Roux has the entire package. Doesn't matter if she mouths off and is a pain in the ass, it's the music that is important to me.
