The latter half of this album is the weakest, but isn’t that the way with most albums?

This song epitomises how so many of his songs sound the same lol.

 

It’s true, the first two albums are very similar sounding but the band/he gets a lot heavier with recent albums!

Next up: Breakdown. For me this is the most *mehr* one on the album. I don’t like it, don’t actively dislike it either. Couldn’t hum or sing along to it…

I was able to go and see Daughtry when they supported Nickelback on their 2012 tour (can’t remember what it’s called now actually!)

 

Both acts were amazing. I don’t get the Nickelback hate at all!

Very much atypical Daughtry and probably trying to recreate the success of Home!

3. Home

 

One of my favourite songs of all time. As I said, holiday memories, and this is the one that sticks out most.

 

I’m lucky, I’ve been back to the USA many many times since 2009 and it really does feel like home from home now.

2. Used To

 

There are seven singles on this album but Used To is not one of them.

 

This is very atypical Daughtry, reflecting on past memories.

I know this one already and am a fan. Sounds very 3 Doors Down musically!

 

Oh yes, there are a lot of similarities!

So I first heard Daughtry when I went on holiday to the USA in 2006 and the singles from this album were everywhere. I couldn’t go half an hour without hearing one of them.

 

The band easily became my soundtrack from the holiday and every time I listen to this album, I’m transported back to winter 2006 and my holiday memories!

Has anybody else picked up on the weird sound in the chorus of Mirror? I can only describe it as like a Snapchat notification! It is the most annoying thing ever!

I was absolutely addicted to it back in the day. I even ran a successful guild with a genuine website it got that big!
