to be honest although i love Green Day and everything about them even I didn't think it should have won. I agree they deserve it but there were some really good songs in that. Chappy i think it was viewer votes.

Brilliant song, freaky video and it has been in the top ten most selected videos on 'The Hits' and 'TMF' for a few days!

I watched the middle one, quite good, awesome guitaring but where were the words to the song?? :blink: :D

I watched this last night on TMF, it is a Kerrang! programme that they do every year, this year it was hosted by Stuart Cable (that hairy curly haired ex drummer from stereophonics) and two slaggy looking girls. There were many good songs and good videos including; 'The beautiful People' by Marilyn Manson (billie joe reckoned the song was about him), 'Californication' by stereophonics, 'Pretty fly for a white guy' by The offspring 'Tribute' by Tenaciuos D and 'All the small things' Blink 182. The number two was announced 'One' By Metallica. :winner: And number 1 was 'American Idiot' by the one and only Green Day!! :winner: I also watched on TMF 'The 20 best rock party anthems' as hosted by Matt Willis and 'American Idiot' made it to number one here too beating 'Jump' by Van Halen and other such songs that i cannot remember. :D
