Maggie was great for the south of england, but awful socially for the rest of the country. Maggie left over 11 million people living in poverty in this country when she left office. Think in 1979 there were only 4 Million despite the bad economic situation. Plus health, education, and are public services were left to rot :puke2: Which has left us years behind most other western countries, while before she came to power are public services were the envy of the world.

The fact is Britain would not be able to cope without its foreign work-force. 99% of Poles work in this country and only a hand-full are on benefits. Most are well educated and have alot to offer Britain. Put it this way would u prefer hard working E Europeans in these country or a load of foul mouthed, uneducated , jobless british yobs causeing mayhem. Well ALL football teams have the idiots. Fortunately these sort of things dont happen as often as they did in the 80s. Where racisim & violence were a regular occurence, though i reckon the REAL reason why football violence has declined is that most footie clubs have priced out the working class fans who used to go to these matches, so its a double edged sword if you ask me <_<
