So Despacito has fallen 3 weeks running and charted for 15 weeks. Does that mean the Number 1 will be affected this week? Edit - There's a Sales thread missing from the forum history!! Maybe it increased that particular week

My issue with the ongoing changes are that outside of listening to music, my next favourite thing is monitoring all kinds of records. Whether these are sales based, or most weeks spent inside certain positions etc. If they continue to attack streams in this way I would like to see them split the records into Old Era and New Era. I love seeing all kinds of records broken and these changes further cement every current record in place. Everyone loves seeing a World Record or Olympic Record beaten, and whilst the rush is much less in music it's still great when it happens. We will never see any standing Record, Sales or Weeks based, broken under the new rules and I doubt this'll be the end of the attack on streaming. Anyway that's my piece, I'll stop going on about it now. It was what it is. There are many other ways to promote the freshness of new music but hey ho.

Only 1 Top 5 hit though with Passionfruit. I'd personally say not, but that's just my personal view. I just think looking back on 2017 I won't be remembering Drake, with everything else that's already happened. I will admit to disliking Drake's music so maybe there's some bias in there on my part but I do associate him heavily with 2016 for obvious reasons. Was really hoping DAMN would've broken the Top 20 albums of the year for sales by now in the U.K. Although not the deepest album by any stretch of the imagination, it's a clever album in many ways and a real delight.

Although for the U.K. I would say Ed Sheeran, Stormzy, DJ Khalad, Justin Biebar everywhere and Despacito. DAMN has been my personal highlight although not a massive success in the U.K. Can't say I'll be placing Drake as a memory of 2017. More a relief that he's not going to fluke more success in our charts like he managed in 2016.

I really like this Rudimental hit. Not a fan of James but I still like the song a lot. Only took 2-3 full listens to grow on me. Hopefully lands outside the Top 10 this week as I didn't put them in predictions, but certainly has the potential to go Top 10 at some point.

Not sure what album streaming figures are available, but is there any indication whether the one love Manchester album is streaming with decent figures following release today.

Despacito is just too strong at the moment. Still, Top 10 should be doable and Top 5 would be a treat although maybe out of reach.
