Rihanna isn't even in the competition for me. I haven't liked anything she's released Good Girl Gone Bad. I have a love/hate relationship with Katy Perry. She annoys me no end sometimes, but Teenage Dream has been a good phase for me. I voted Gaga. I know she's incredibly overhyped and it took me a long time to see past all the costumes and stupid shoes. But every time she starts to annoy me and I start doubting whether I still like her, I only have to watch an acoustic performance of something like Brown Eyes or Speechless to remember how talented she is. It wasn't until I saw her do the piano version of Telephone at the Brits that I even considered her to be a genuine artist and now I love her to bits.
  3. Hah, I tried and tried to dislike her but I can't. She's so annoyingly catchy. And she wears glitter on her face! There once was a time when I actively liked Nadine Coyle; I was genuinely interested in hearing her solo stuff. I just couldn't stomach her, though, when she returned with her skinny legs and transatlantic accent. So that was one disappointment. I was kind of expecting big things from Ellie Goulding but she's just turned downright irritating. Covering Your Song? Cop out!
  4. I'm sticking to, say, charts from the last decade to now because it's too hard to pick otherwise. 1. Girls Aloud - Biology 2. N'Sync - Gone 3. Pink - Who Knew 4. Mike Posner - Cooler Than Me 5. Mcfly - All About You 6. Britney Spears - Everytime 7. Gaga - Bad Romance 8. Pink - Like a Pill 9. The Killers - Read My Mind 10. Fall Out Boy - Sugar, We're Going Down I don't know. There's probably loads more. EDIT: There are loads more. I just read through everyone else's and kept going "oh yeah, and that! and that!" Too hard!
  5. Ah, I love this list! :cheer: Animal Collective. Mine, not in any particular order because I can't decide one: 1. Bright Eyes - Cassadaga 2. Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion 3. Laura Marling - I Speak Because I Can 4. Marissa Nadler - Song 3: Bird on the Water 5. Regina Spektor - Soviet Kitsch 6. Alanis Morrissette - Jagged Little Pill 7. Darren Hayes - This Delicate Thing We've Made 8. Kanye West - The College Dropout 9. Fall Out Boy - Folie a Deux 10. Joanna Newsom - Have One On Me

Just watched the repeat last night. Agree with what's been said about missing Russell Brand, although Noel and Richard made a pretty good team. It's worrying that Jonathan Ross and wife prodce it, I never noticed that before. Every year I hope he's been dropped from the lineup. Obviously never going to happen, though. I think the programme will NEVER go wrong as long as they have people like Russel & Noel, David Mitchell, Richard Ayoade, Alan Carr. The only two I didn't enjoy from this year's was Jonathan Ross and that Welsh woman.

I saw bits of Derren Brown night but missed Enigma. Confetti and Mcfly? Gutted. I'll 4OD it, probably. It all just reminded me how amazing he is, and made me particulary excited about him again and eager for him to do something new. I'd totally forgotten about some of the things he'd done. There's something about him that's so...engaging. He's ace. One of the best things Channel 4 has produced for a long time.

Is that still on?? God, it reminds me of being off school ill. I used to watch it in bed. I LOVED it. I'd never admit it to real people, though. :kink: I used to think this was the second best daytime tv Channel 4's ever done after Come Dine With Me. Wait, there's a new series starting? Fabulous!
  9. UGH, kids. -_- Ha. Several Aqua songs featured in the soundtrack to my youth. I'd buy this, for def.

lolol amazing. I miss that swaying thing they used to do. They had it down to a tee. They even managed it here despite being...hungover/exhausted? I love nothing more than a good old reminiscing sesh on youtube with the Atomic Kitten videos. This was a great little song.
  11. A friend recently sent me a couple of La Roux songs and I'm quite impressed. As with all acts I've just been introduced to though, I'm not sure about where to start. Is this her first album being released in June? Or are there previous ones? Which one should I get first? OR which other songs should I get a hold of to ease me in? etc.

Awful thing to have to face at such a young age. It's so frightening and it has really opened my eyes to the fact that the C word can happen to ANYONE. Who would have thought this is how that dumb blonde bint from Big Brother's life would turn out. I'm so sad for her.

Kara seems pretty nice and fits right in, from what I've seen. There's too much chatter in this now, though! I'd rather they just squeeze in as many auditions as possible rather than telling us the back story to every single person. Can't say anyone has stuck out for me, yet.

Verne french kissing that baby doll last night was just plain weird. I felt a bit sorry for Michelle on eviction night. She came across as thoroughly decent and rational in her eviction interview. I'd rather have seen Ulrika go. That pleading and begging motion Ulrika was doing before Davina called out the name was just ridiculous and cringe-worthy. You'd think she was in f***in guantanamo the was she was carrying on. Ulrika is really p***ing me off now. Her to go tonight, please. I've warmed to terry these last few days. I was genuinely laughing out loud at his fake nominations last night. Terry or LaToya to win now, for me.

Oh, Rob. You have the same birthday as a good friend of mine. Happy birthday! I'm sure Clare will be treating you extra nice as it is your birthday. :) I had to laugh at this getting posted in the "Retro" section, KJ! Is Rob officially retro now that he's so old?

I expected this to be $h!t but it brought me some genuine LOLs - a lot more than most of Channel 4's other recent attempts at comedy. I actually hadn't even planned to watch it but it was on in the background on Friday and I realised it was actually funny and worth watching. I think it's going to be good!

I definitely don't think it should go any lower. There are other steps a company can take when it's stuggling financially. A lot of people rely on their salary as it is and would struggle on anything less than they're receiving. I'm currently 21 and not even receiving the minimum wage. Obviously my employer isn't legally obliged to pay me the minimum wage until I am over 21. The only thing is, I'm lucky to be in a job right now because the company is already struggling and there have been hints about letting people go. I turn 22 in May and (if I'm still there) am actually dreading having to ask for a pay rise, even though I know I'm legally entitled to it, because I think he would quite happily tell me to go if I'm not happy in light of the current situation.
  18. Well, I'd like to see Russell Brand as his first guest. They are my number 1 comedy villain duo of all time. I want them reunited. Nah, I heard Tom Cruise is in talks to appear. I don't know. I never really watched it before but I will watch if Tom Cruise is on because I quite like him.

Ok, that's it. I actually love LaToya. She's so gentle. Her voices could put me to sleep (in a good way). I just like hearing her speak. I want to hear her voice right now. Also Ben: Hi, let's get married now.
  20. The only name I can say truly I am excited about from that list is Eminem. I can't even wait, it actually hurts my heart. Having him back will be like 2001 all over again!

I agree with this, I'm finding Coolio quite endearing...Granted I haven't seen much of what he's been doing. Maybe he is sexist or whatever. But in the parts I've seen he's been entertaining. He's the kind of person needed in there to keep the place interesting. If he did do something to upset Michelle, I think he was totally oblivious to it. I think he's always oblivious. On a side note, was PMSL at Verne's impersonation of Coolio. I'm also finding myself warming to Mutya, Terry and even Ulrika. (:o) Lucy to go!

Oh dear, Coolio. "two young hot naked girls.........................Over 18".

Reckon LaToya, Mutya or Verne will even have heard of Tommy Sheridan? I'm looking forward to seeing the blank looks..

LOLOL! As soon as he stepped in the door away from the crowd: "Mini me, will you marry me? What the hell?" He's wayyy smaller than I imagined! Mutya came across ok. Latoya wtf at that laugh!

It made me chuckle in parts. The highlight for me was definitely the David Snr character. I wasn't comfortable watching them sitting in somebody else's house though. I thought it was brave of them to take the risk and change the formula but I don't think the risk paid off. On the whole, it seemed sillier and less reflective of real life than it's been in the past. There were a few little gems in there though. I also felt the little sketch at the end with Jim and Barbara in bed was unnecessary and silly. The camera panning in on the picture of Nana just before it would have been a much more appropriate ending, I thought.
