Very sad, are these forums for music lovers or just pop? It would seem the latter. I know I haven't posted for a while, but then it always was quiet. I've nothing agains't the likes of Amy Winehouse and Pink, I just prefer more musical depth. Thanks for the forum for when it was open though (I don't suppose I will be back)
  2. After watching both again, I'm less impressed by the TATU version than at first. Musically, Mark Ronson is far superior.
  3. The Queen Is Dead Meat Is Murder Strangeways, Here We Come The Smiths
  4. Not overly keen on the TATU cover, although I am surprised because I would have thought it would be rubbish! :D The Mark Ronson cover is excellent, so that gets my vote :elvis:
  5. Na, I'll make a top 50 at some point too, but this is yours!! It can never be exact, but it will be a rough guide. The most interesting thing will be which tracks you leave out!! ^_^
  6. I'm a little surprised to see 'Handsome Devil' so soon... does this mean you think there are 47 Morrissey tracks which are better? I suppose there could be :)
  7. Why should we have to 'excuse' ourselves, regarding eating meat? It is natural and right, the only thing that I don't agree with is the amount of meat produce that just goes to waste. Now, that is a death for no reason, and therefore murder.
  8. Hmm... to be honest, I though 'Ringleader...' was really good, arguably as good as You Are The Quarry  Oh well, each to his own :)
  9. Ahhh I see... well there's little you can do about that I suppose, I wouldn't worry about it!! :D
  10. "This video is no longer available" Out of curiosity, what was it?
  11. What is this league? A league of all the forums on this site?
  12. What I meant was that vegetarians can't normally give blood because the iron levels in their blood is too low, and they can't regenerate blood cells quickly. If a vegetarian had a fatal accident, and suffered serious blood loss, they would theoretically have less chance of survival than someone who did eat meat
  13. BAD

Has anyone heard 'Streetwalker'? It's on the special edition of Bad, and I am dumbfounded as to why it was left off the album! What a killer track! B)
  14. And have you considered what might happen if you were in a fatal accident, and suffered serious blood loss? Doesn't it concern you at all? I know it's an extreme example, but it makes you think...
  15. I think The Ordinary Boys is exceptionally good, and also the 2 extra tracks on Viva Hate - Pashernate Love and Girl Least Likely To. Of course, I am avoiding the obvious picks (Everyday..., First Of The Gang)
  16. Wow... If he didn't want people to sing along to a Smiths song - simple - don't perform it! Besides, he wrote all the words to every Smiths song, did he not?
  17. Very controversial, but at least he has the bottle to air such views. I choose to eat meat, only because I think it's natural and contributes to a balanced diet. As a an example of how important meat is - I give blood, and the process of regenerating blood is a lot slower in vegetarians. I've seen some of my vegetarian workmates (who also give) suffer the rest of the day, or even week, because their iron levels are so depleted and they cannot regenerate it quickly. I do say to them - what if you had a fatal injury, and you are bleeding to death - couldn't this be the difference between life and death? I wonder what Morrissey would say to that? However, if it were for the reasons cited by Morrissey alone, I would certainly skip meat - and I might add that meat makes up less than 10%, maybe under 5%, of my diet.
  18. ..how many times have I been around?
  19. Saw him in December at the SECC Glasgow, and he was much better than I had anticipated! I was unconvinced that his own material would stand up to the Smiths' material. However, the Smiths songs he did perform (besides How Soon Is Now and the encore Please, Please...), were far from the highlight of the night. I've never been that keen on Girlfriend In A Coma, despite it being a fans favourite, and I don't think Panic reaches it's full potential live. Definitely will make special efforts see him again, the only other band I can say that about is Radiohead - and I've yet to see U2.. :)
  20. I really like it, I think it's better than the Smiths version, it brings more out of it
