Why haven't I commented on this quite beautiful album already? Here's my rankings anyways: 01 Saviour - 9.5/10 - Great single and unfortunately one of her only more beaty tracks on the album. Very powerful vocals. 02 Drive My Soul - 8.5/10 - Her biggest single release in Canada I think but it took me ages to get into this on the EP. I now appreciate the greatness but it's not her Poxleitner's best. 03 River - 9/10 - A really great album track which really defines this album - very relaxed and laid back with quite beautiful, out of this world depths. 04 The Listening - 10/10 - A quite phenominally beautiful track which really stands out as something special. 05 Ice - 10/10 - Prefer the EP version but this track is perfect in whatever form. 06 Pretend - 7/10 - Not quite so keen on this one. Still very emtional but I think it's a little too simple for me. 07 The Last Thing On Your Mind - 8/10 - Another track from the EP. Another grower too. 08 Second Go - 7.5/10 - The beautiful downbeat tracks keep coming. 09 February Air - 8.5/10 - Fourth track from the EP. This was the first I heard of Lights and I think it's one of her more immediate tracks. 10 Face Up - 7.5/10 - An inspiring track, the perfect accompaniment to a tub of ice cream. 11 Lions! - 9/10 - One of the more catchy foot tapping tracks on the albumThis one kind of reminds me of an old Savage Garden track. 12 Quiet - 8.5/10 - A little more querky then the other tracks in the way she sings which is a bit faster but equally amazing. Overall a really good album but Lights has certainly focused on what she is known for in Canada which is really beautiful slow songs and most of these are really successful but I think the album would have benefitted from more upbeat tracks like Ice and White from the EP.

Uh Huh Her, Sneaky Sound System, Amanda Jensen, Royksopp, Kelly Clarkson, Maire Mai, St Etienne, Krystal Meyers - Some real classics imho -_-

et la numero un... Quite early on into BJSC 12 Ben posted his entry.... I was quite literally gobsmacked. A skinny little white bloke dancing around on an oversized keyboard and I was completely hooked. Amazingly uplifting, energetic, new, catchy and quite simply the best song not only enterred into this contest but probably of this century. My number 1 is of course... 01: Mdiče: Frankmusik - 3 Little Words (183 Points - 2nd BJSC 12) pPQQMsbcAYg Frankmusik quickly became my most played artist EVER and his debut album Complete Me is still on continuous loop in my car only being taken out when it is replaced by the remixed album Recompleted. 3 Little Words epitomises his utterly unique and explosive musical style and I still so hope he can get some bigger releases than Confusion Girl to give him the appreciation he deserves. This was a dead cert to win in VII but became famous for suffering from over-hype and only managed 9th. The song was a great statement from Nonsuch and established them as ones to watch from their debut in this contest. The song is the perfect piece from the pop princess. oof dunno about that! Saw this last night and it is extremely funny also has some very sad bits for a disney film. The actual story was a bit rubbish but a brilliant script and very very pretty. Squirrel!
