  1. Not putting the above or anyone’s opinions down but between here and SH you would think this album entered at #93 and dropped out. Kylie has had ups and downs all through her career - but this for me is certainly the former, another #1, strong first week sales, global tour…
  2. Another anniversary - 4 years of Disco  That chart battle will stay with me for life - fun week though
  3. Hopefully everyone on SayGay can sleep easier tonight
  4. I’m like that with the majority of the ‘X’ project - I like the album and it has some amazing songs but not an era I naturally revert back to.
  5. I took my vinyl along of ‘My Wildest Dreams’ and also got the tour book from the show signed (you also got a personalised signed poster as part of the M&G package). The show was a dance/song show that went through the 80s, 90s and 00s - there was another female and male singer and Claire ‘only’ done 5-6 songs in total. Same - especially when she said January is basically booked out for recording sessions. So pleased she’s following up ‘Euphoria’ wasn’t convinced it had been enough of a commercial success to warrant her doing another so soon.
  6. Literally anything would be a worthy winner at this point. Reluctantly went with Story.
  7. 17 years of ‘Two Hearts’ - not my favourite Kylie lead single by any means (but I really like it just wouldn’t have been my choice to kick off ‘X’) but it snatched a Top 5 and kicked off a successful era. Chart Highlights Australia #1 Spain #1 Italy #2 Sweden #3 UK #4 Norway #6 Slovakia #7 Switzerland #10 Live Wetten Dass - Live Performance German TV HR8pO2uav1Q Strictly Come Dancing SGdUgA6wxrI Children In Need QQWaPGlGUYo
  8. The actual hysteria this has caused on SH over the numbers being missing :drama: Hopefully this pacifies everyone
  9. ^^ They wouldn’t even have to do that m, drop the CD/Download to £5 and Vinyl to £20 and bag another week Top 75. BMG never seem to do anything outside of week 1 though - they are seemingly happy for all their artists to throw it all at week 1 and then that’s it.
  10. Went to the Claire show at The Palladium last week - it was good fun and her husband and children were behind us but overall I thought it was a bit meh due to the lack of Claire overall, would have much preferred a solo show. She was as gracious as ever in the M&G and spent ages with everyone and signing whatever people took along, I asked about a follow up to ‘Euphoria’ and she said she’s been in the studio already but is really getting back to it in January and will be recording - solo album #3 is on the way :cheer:
  11. I really hope so but I have a feeling the album promo is done - can see Kylie wanting a break in Australia rather than trying to flog a few more copies of T2, they might throw out another pressing for the Christmas market maybe to grab a few more sales?
  12. This tbh - if we look at comparable latest releases from females that are far into their career: Paloma Faith: 2-37-87 Jesse Ware: 3-68 Dolly Parton: 5-64 Katy Perry: 6-out Rita Ora: 6-out Jess Glynne: 6-out Alison Moyet: 8-out Lady Gaga: 11-out Cher: 44-out Emeli Sande: 49-out Jennifer Lopez: 55-out And aside from the above we commonly see artists drop from 1 to outside of the Top 100 (Shed Seven, Ben Howard etc)
  13. The days of TV shows with lots of promo opportunities!
  14. 21 years of ‘Slow’ TOTP - Exclusive First Performance 9iP2qbiEhlY Des & Mel - TV Performance BLxAxwunOcc Graham Norton y3e0LpGVhGA
  15. ^^ Love the Kylie love on your personal charts
  16. There are so many ‘Best Of Tension’ fan playlists on Spotify - hopefully that’ll help get a few extra charts ‘sales’ for each album and people stream the best of both.
  17. Guessing we’re gonna have a 1-52-out chart run as can’t see it holding on for a 3rd week :drama: Get some £4.99 reductions on Amazon, BMG!
  18. Not surprised DA is leading the way for least favourite - it’s not a bad song just repetitive and could have been so much more.
  19. Kylie aside I’m surprised record companies are not demanding change - it’s the norm now for albums to go Top 5 to outside the Top 100 and album campaigns (of which there is months and months or planning etc.,) now literally are a 1 week wonder.
  20. Apparently so - every artist they have gets everything thrown at Week 1 (Steps, Rick Astley, Kylie etc.,). They could have easily held back the extended remix download for week 2 and the CD/signed prints - they didn’t need the extra sales for week 1 so bemused they rushed those out at the last minute. I’m sure reductions will come but as always far too late to impact chart performance. (I also find it odd that they insist on keeping hold of old stock - the Disco Boxset for example, surely it’s selling nothing atm with the £75 price tag and they would be better off offloading them?!).
  21. She done all the promo available in the UK aside from Breakfast TV - Radio 2 Capital The One Show Opportunities for artists are few and far between.
  22. Presenting at The Grammy nominations
  23. As always though chart positions don’t equate to success - Steps 2nd week sales at #21 was lower than Kylie’s sale for #52 this week.
  24. I absolutely love Midnight Ride. I also hope that somehow however far fetched it seems atm that EOSN can do something/anything - maybe it’ll be one of those tracks that takes off after Christmas/NY (Doubtful but I can dream  ).
