'Femme Fatale' 7th album
Well she has been into the whole one worded album titles as of late so I wouldn't be surprised. I don't think it's a bad title, and if the title takes after some sort of lyric or title of a song then it will follow with almost every other album of her's. Maybe it describes the varying content on the album? Haha.

New leak: Now And Then
Wow, DEFINITELY miss those Britney commercial days!
-
'Femme Fatale' 7th album
Yeah, can't see her releasing a new single quite this soon yet. If she's still in the middle of recording music I don't think it would be smart to just release a song not knowing what the album will sound like. Although, I think a buzz single would be pretty cool though just to hold us over. It wouldn't even need to be promoted and I'm sure it'd be a huge hit, at least in America with all the downloads!

Marina Diamonds Loves Britney
Indeed MARINA = AMAZINGNESS. I feel like I had way more fun at a Marina concert than a Britney concert to be honest. But I didn't see Britney on this last tour so I still think it's hard for me compare. Last time I went to see Britney was in 2001. Definitely think Marina is a LOT more personable though and is pretty much in control of everything creatively. We know Britney is quite a different pop artist comparatively. Still love Britney and I don't think anyone can replace her for me! She continues to crank out hits even after all these years! And Tyler, I feel like you should look Marina's music up because you may really enjoy her. :kink:

US Chart Information - Singles & Albums
Grrr, I wish Blackout would achieve the 1 mil mark already!

'Femme Fatale' 7th album
I'm hoping, and it makes the most sense, for the new album to come out this fall. Of course that's what usually happens with a Britney release and that's when most of the sales are achieved. With the announcement of a new fragrance too I can definitely see it happening. I'm also not surprised with the statements here and there from people who say she's supposedly finishing up touches on the album already.

Who is the Queen of Pop?
It's interesting for me personally seeing many people say Kylie Minogue has/had the potential to be Queen of Pop. I guess it just doesn't register for me since she hasn't had very much success or exposure here in the US besides her early stuff and the Fever era. Though, internationally I can definitely see why people would consider her because of her longevity and success with singles and albums seen throughout her career. I don't think anyone can say Lady GaGa is a Queen of Pop. Sure, she has had a great bit of success over the past few years but that could really be anyone. It just depends if an artist can stick around or is able to successfully recover from an unsuccessful/rough patch in their career. For me I think of Madonna as Queen of Pop and more or less Britney as Princess of Pop. Maybe not so much lately because of Britney's rough patch and all and her not being like she once was in the highlight of her career. But a lot of successful artists have those rough patches and the true test is whether they bounce back from that or not.

Desperate Housewives // Season 6 - US Pace
Season 7 premieres September 26 in the US.

Weeds
VERY interested to see where the new plot developments go for this upcoming season. I read some new characters will be added and of course saw that a major one will be leaving after this season. It'll be sad to see them leave! Anybody see the teaser trailer?! oEGLEp2Nv6k

Pretty Little Liars
It actually airs on ABC Family, not the main ABC channel. The show did break a record for series premiere ratings on ABC Family, across all major viewing demographics of women and young people.

US Downloads vs. Copies
And it's that before downloads you could really only buy the physical copy of the single and we all know physicals died years ago in the U.S.

Aphrodite ● album discussion
Never been this excited for a Kylie album before. Stand outs for me right now are 'Get Outta My Way' and 'Better Than Today'. A few of the tracks toward the end seem a bit average on first listen but overall it's a great dance album that maintain consistency throughout.
-
Alexandra Burke ft. Pitbull - All Night Long
I could see this being a big hit here! It's definitely mainstream enough for the US and the whole Pitbull rap thing would probably help it.
-
Marina and the Diamonds - Oh No!
AGREED. I didn't care too much for 'Shampain' on first listen was but I have been getting really into that one lately. I think 'Oh No!' has a better chance at some type of success on the charts compared to 'Shampain' though.

Lost: Season 6
I admit I stopped paying attention to this season and some of last due to being a bit less interested in the show and overall and being more busy. But my mom would always fill me in when I got home about what was going on. I did tune in for the finale on Sunday and I really enjoyed it! I thought it was very well done. A great end to the series! And even though I haven't watched it properly in quite a while it was still a bit sad realizing it was finally done. Oh, and I quite enjoyed the Lost special and cast reunion on Jimmy Kimmel Live they aired right after. It was quite amusing and interesting to see them talk about the series.

Scissor Sisters - Night Work [28th June]
'Fire With Fire' keeps getting better with every listen! LOVE it. I really like how the track builds up to the uptempo chorus. Loving those beats. Can't wait to hear what else is on their new album!
-
All The Lovers (new single) Released: June 28th
I don't really know what it is about this song! It seems so simple but yet so damn catchy. I can't stop listening to it whenever I turn on my iPod or load iTunes! It seems to resemble I Believe In You in a way which I was also quite obsessed with for some time.
-
Natasha Bedingfield - Touch [New Single]
She seemed great in that performance! Really great song! Love the beat and the chorus! If this is only a buzz track, I am definitely looking forward to this next album. I think it would make a great single though. Probably my favorite track of her's since her Unwritten stuff!
-
David Guetta ft C.Willis, Fergie & Lmfao - Gettin' Over You
I wasn't sure about that beat at first but I am loving this track right now! The radio/new version is loads better than the original! There really isn't a part in the song I dislike.
-
Kelly Rowland ft David Guetta 'Commander'
Didn't think I'd actually like this as I never really cared or got the whole thing about When Love Takes Over. BUT. I actually quite like it! Started out great from first listen and keeps getting better!

BRITNEY CHEESY POP APPRECIATION THREAD.
Born To Make You Happy is definitely up there! Can't believe it was never released Stateside. :(
