  1. HUGE new change added to the t checker revolving All Stars 6 now saying that YARA!!!! wins the first episode and last until episode 4! Elimination order is now looking like the following- Serena- Jiggly- Silky- Yara Whilst not a super impressive Yara run- just her getting another win makes me super happy!
  2. Bimini has more followers than all but ONE Season 13 girl this is BONKERS wow!!! So so happy for her
  3. the graphics look a bit more “fun” that Driver’s License so I hope it’s an up-tempo
  4. Oh wow what a feat haha! I think she could do well on All Stars but she needs a good few years to mature! I do wonder whether the producers thought she’d be a bigger threat because the second win could have gone to a number of other queens really? What an ODD ODD edit she’s had wow. Also aside from this- I think I’ve accepted that I’m happy with either of Mik, Rose or Symone winning (although Rose would be my last pick out of them). I’m not able to fully route for any of these queens at this point- not like I was Tamisha anyway! Compared to Jaida last year where I SCREAMED and was ELATED to see her win- I can’t see myself being too reactive to the winners announcement as the competition has been pretty poor imo. Roll on All Stars 6 and Australia already- even if they’re bad can they be iconically bad and not Season 11 bad like this has been
  5. She’s been low the last 2 weeks- she lipsynced the episode before! Not comparing her in any other way other than trajectory- but her run has been really similar to Sh*rry’s last season: doing well from the outset and then her shtick becoming super tired and letting other competitors move past her in the rankings. It’s a shame as I think she is lovely and very talented- and she MURDERED the disco week imo but yeah she’s REALLY fizzled!
  6. There were so many personalities on this season that the producers clearly didn’t know how special they were and let them go so soon- Lala, Kashmora and ESPECIALLY Tamisha were absolute gold and hopefully can see that the audience have eaten them up like we did Monique Heart and have them back to slay
  7. Galvanize is SUCH a fantastic song!

  9. I also agree it was such a fun escapist pop song in the first lockdown
  10. good guesses folks
  11. 2. God is a Woman (Sweetener) kHLHSlExFis Sadly missing out on my top spot is the best of Sweetener’s holy trinity- God is a Woman- and isn’t she just. The song is a trap-influenced ode to femininity and in particular female agency- the song is a celebratory moment and one that against all the biblical references in the music video- made quite a stir. The chorus start off subtle and grows with each repetition against the guitar refrain that made this song really stand out against big hits in the chart at the time. The pre-choruses are geniuses with their quick part-sung, part-spoken moments and once that final choir comes in singing backing for Ariana the song reaches all-time-great level. Her vocals are insane, the lyricism is fun whilst also having a story-telling and meaning and the production is expensive and matches the theme perfectly. 1. Into You (Dangerous Woman) 1ekZEVeXwek And finally, here it is, the greatest Ariana Grande song (so far), Into You. Was there any doubt? One of the greatest pop songs of all time I’d say. From the very beginning, the pulsating beats sum up the dance direction of the song and the rather delicate delivery of the opening verse start off building into the pre-chorus of “Oh baby look what you started” which leads us into the first explosion of a chorus that build bigger each time. The huge soaring vocals found at the end as well as the added vocals of the “l-l-l-light me up” are classic killer pop and cement this song as one of the greatests. There’s an Elvis and Mariah Carey reference every chorus, there’s belting, there’s ad-libs- this is the quintessential song from Miss Grande and Ariana we are so very, Into You.
  12. Alyssa hmmm i’m gonna politely pass. Jujubee however i’d be fine with any season including her
  13. Dangerous Woman vs Sweetener for the top spot? Any guesses?
  14. 3. Touch It (Dangerous Woman) hNRjI_biB18 The highest-ranked non-single for me HAD to be Touch It. The song is a mammoth pop track featuring some of my favourite vocals and melodies from her. The lyrics are a story-telling masterpiece and the opening “How do I make the phone ring?” gets me hooked every single time, not to mention that single piano note. The chorus is an anthemic, sing(shout)along moment and it is devastating she doesn’t think that too. The electronic clashes, bangs, beeps against the raw lyrics and the insane vocals make this the highlight of Ariana’s non-singles for me.
  15. Oh I absolutely understand it was an awful set haha! I just think in general on the show some reads are considered too harsh whilst others are fine and it’s confusing to understands what’s fine and not sometimes
  16. 4. Bad Idea (Thank U, Next) m7XHduHsBvk A final visit to Thank U, Next now with guitar-backed trap banger, Bad Idea. A song with a catchy chorus, yes- but it’s the verses that are the true highlight of this track- almost spoken in their delivery- they are cold and some of my favourite lyrics on the album. The sudden-stop in the song followed by her belting and the string section coming in is a highlight, not to mention the re-emergence of the strings in the outro before the trap is back backing Ariana’s edited voice singing lower than Grande could even think about going.
  17. I find it odd- we had the moment saying Alexis Michelle shouldn’t be offended by fat jokes but now fat jokes are too far?
  18. 5. Love Me Harder (My Everything) g5qU7p7yOY8 Making my top five is Love Me Harder- the electro-ballad featuring a feature from a then, relatively obscure, The Weeknd. Their voices suit, perfectly and I think this is without a doubt her best collaboration (sorry Rain On Me). The pulsing production that gets heavier as the choruses reach and then explodes into full synth-pop during the “oo”s at the end of the chorus. If this was released in 2021 the song would be a huge smash for sure- shame the world just wasn’t quite ready for this powerful combination back in ’14.
  19. Correct judging for me this week- I wouldn’t have been mad at a Gottmik win but a Kandy win did make sense tbf! Olivia being low rather than bottom 2 also made sense as she didn’t bomb quite as hard as the other 2
  20. The Rusical is allegedly Superbowl themed with Jan playing Fergie (obvs) and Rajah playing PRINCE!!! Ginger is the alleged winner- I wonder who she is cast as
  21. A thread just for pics of Naomi, Jaida and Bimini me thinks
  22. 6. Break Free (My Everything) L8eRzOYhLuw From one optimistic, life-affirming banger to another in the shape of Zedd-produced My Everything cut, Break Free. This was the first song of Ariana’s that really caught my attention with all-out EDM production and lyrics that have always made this THE premium Ariana pride pick. Not to mention the stupidest, yet most incredible music video. The song almost relishes in its optimism and feels unapologetic of it’s at the time- slightly basic production, and lines that also felt dated in their “love you for you” sentiment. Wow- it really sounds like I’m dragging this song- basically I love this for being an unashamedly cheesy pop song! So we have a top five of- Yours Truly- 0 My Everything- 1 Dangerous Woman- 2 Sweetener- 1 Thank U Next- 1 Positions- 0
