It's only a Top 39 in singles again at this stage, but I expected "Viva La Vida" to be in there today. Hmmm... And "Violet Hill" is consistently coming in beneath its predicted position in Dave Taylor's daily thread...

Friday Top 40 update from MW Singles 1 Madonna 2 Wiley 3 Sam Sparro 4 Will I Am 5 Usher Top 10 Kylie Minogue Coldplay - VH Top 15 Kelly Rowland James Fox Top 20 Duffy Nelly Top 30 Pigeon Detectives Ne-Yo Top 40 Wideboys Sara Bareilles Santogold Albums 1 Madonna 2 Scooter 3 Duffy 4 Sam Sparro 5 Portishead Top 10 Def Leppard Hadouken! Any oldie suddenly shooting up at the moment...(apart from Queen) put it down to Britain's Got Talent?

From ronnieross on Haven: "Regarding Coldplay on itunes. If you pre-order the album (and pay the 7.99) you get Viva La Vida right now but wait for the rest to come available in june. These sales aren't going to be that huge and aren't going to count towards an OCC chart You can also buy viva la vida (the song) as a single track for 79p. Which i'm guessing is enough to push the song to No.6 in the itunes chart. Both songs should chart then as individual paid for downloads. I'm guessing that viva la vida will be in the chart come sunday and violet hill should be high in the top ten" Hope this clarifies things. "Viva La Vida" should be just outside the Top 40 (or #40 itself then)

Single no change from Sunday, album down 3 from Sunday

I'm thinking *some* of the sales - iTunes - are ineligible? Is it true there's a BOGOF with "Viva La Vida" when "Violet Hill" is purchased on iTunes? "Violet Hill" is #2 on iTunes (and only Top 15 here) and "Viva La Vida" #6 (and not "Top 39" here)...

Pigeon Detectives have leapt from Top 70 right into the Top 40 singles also. Probably another beneficiary from yesterday's "missing" sales

Tesco have to manage their stock levels though. They may be free to customers buying "Hard Candy" but they're still items of stock that have to be accounted for. Sounds like Tesco didn't let the OCC know what they were doing before they registered as sales in Tuesday's mids

Cheers, Zeus. Nice to have confirmation of what we suspected yesterday:

Yes. Very little movement at the top end

GA news: single down 7, album down 4 (both from Sunday)

No worries. Single down 3 (overtaken Gabriella). Album non-mover. Whitesnake still down 15

Again, in singles we only have a Top 39. Yesterday the missing position was Rihanna. Who will it be today? Kylie? Ben's Brother? Let's hope it's a new entry to add to the paltry 3 we have so far....! In albums, Britney has stopped climbing but Robyn has moved up a couple. Cajun Dance Party have been knocked out of the 40 by a resurgent Kylie!

Friday update from MW Singles 1 Madonna 2 Sam Sparro 3 Wiley 4 Usher 5 Estelle Top 10 Pendulum Top 20 Script Jay Sean Top 30 Gabriella Cilmi Nelly Robyn Hoosiers Duffy Top 40 Ashlee Simpson One Night Only Albums 1 Madonna 2 Portishead 3 Last Shadow Puppets 4 Duffy 5 Sam Sparro Top 10 Gabriella Cilmi Top 15 Platters Hoosiers Top 20 Rick Astley Top 30 Robyn Fall Top 40 Amy Winehouse - Frank Wombats Kanye West One Night Only Kylie Minogue NO SALES INFO YET

She's halfway between 20 and 30 ;)

Sales figures for the Madonna albums that are given away free in Tesco with "Hard Candy" are showing at LESS than they were on Tuesday's update! Therefore, it looks like that any of the four albums' sales from Tesco have been disqualified from the chart, hence their speedy decline! I guess it's only fair! "Ray Of Light" and "Music" are no longer Top 200. "Confessions" will still show a sales increase from last week, but the way "The Immaculate Collection" is heading, it my end up lower than last week's position!

She's not Top 40 in either chart (unless she's the missing #40 in singles)

Single down 4 from Sunday Album up 1 from Sunday (total sales were around 205k at close of play Saturday) Whitesnake down 15 from Sunday

Album down 3 from Sunday Single down 9 from Sunday Will still hasn't moved from Sunday

Only a Top 39 update in singles once again. Ben's Brother aren't Top 39 today, but they could be #40... Kanye has rallied a little to push them down In albums Madonna's "IC" has gone, so Feeling sneak back in
